  1. Before that. My impressions of X are outdated and inconsequential. That said, it was nice. It was another era - like over 20 yrs ago.
  2. Hope you post a report and let us know here where to find it. I presume on X board.
  3. I imagine the closing of Churchill's will result in more smokers heading into casino just to smoke. Princess needs to wake up and get with the 2000's!. Oops, they are really behind the times now.
  4. Have not been on X for ages, but no one has mentioned that there is no indoor smoking on X compared to PCL. That would almost be enough to make me go again, but price would have to be very comparable and I am not thinking that will be the case.
  5. Perhaps this is what she found: https://cottagelife.com/general/orillias-island-princess-cruise-ship-up-for-sale-on-facebook-marketplace/
  6. LOL - you weren't upgraded at no charge. The new versions of the packages were implemented then. You will have the two free CD credits.
  7. Other than the general Princess atmosphere and amazing crew and menus, I imagine the experience on Sun is going to be a lot different than the rest of the fleet, so hard to compare.
  8. You do not have to dress up for dinner on Princess. Smart Casual for all nights has been fine for several years now.
  9. Of course. Figures it would be her or a FB poster. She has been wrong more than she has been right.
  10. No, but I would love to do it. I have a lot of experience testing IT applications and if it can be broken, I will find it.
  11. Question has been answered in this thread, but try this: https://www.princess.com/en-us/plan/fcc-onboard-cruise-credits#onboard-credit
  12. There are no more "cards" Also, the coffee package was eliminated quite a long time back now. You can read about the beverage packages on Princess.com, including contents, pricing, and terms. There is something similar at least to old soda package and there is a zero alcohol package which combines soda and coffee and a bit more. You are probably better off with the Plus Cruise Fare package if considering the Zero Alcohol package. The standalone beverage packages are highly priced IMO.
  13. If you purchased on/after Dec 14/22, you have the new $60 package and includes everything.
  14. You stumbled on the standalone beverage package pricing. It is ridiculously priced - most likely marketing ploy and no one should ever buy that. You want the Plus Cruise Fare package at $60/pp/day. Now that one may not be worth it too you either, but at least be checking out the correct package.
  15. Thanks for clarifying. I presumed you were posting about PCL. Yes, I have heard that some non-CCL lines are more problematic to get a true cash discount or rebate.
  16. Not that I would use a TA who does this, but I believe a TA rebate should be Refundable OBC. Not their group booking OBC - that is Non-Ref. A TA rebate to OBC should be replacing a cash discount off the fare or replacing a gift card to use for something else. I only book with TA's who give a direct cash discount off the fare as I don't want a ton of OBC to deal with.
  17. Agree. I don't see any need to use PCL hotels in Fort Lauderdale. Lots of choices and way less costly than paying PCL pricing.
  18. I like to hear your Q&A's. Did the longest married couple win? I mean how could you two lose, right?
  19. Yes, your info is correct. The $5 RS fee is for phoned in orders. I wouldn't fee the need to tip anything extra because Princess builds a tip into the service charges.
  20. What has made you think that because clearly the menu you had it not being served on other ships. It will be a sad day of the chef on each ship cannot use his/her own creativity in coming up with the CT or WMD. I do understand that 360 is coordinated with the sensory stuff - and that one will change BTW. Only the whole experience will change along with menu. But as long as the theme is the current one, I imagine the dishes stay the same.
  21. The Captain's Welcome Formal Night is always the first one since the theme is WELCOME ABOARD and introduction of some officers. That is always the same night the champagne fountain is done AFAIK.
  22. Congrats to you both. (BTW, Tom often has that cheeky look about him that is evident in many of his posts - and I mean that in a good way).
  23. Princess: We used to tell you that it's more than a cruise - it's the Love Boat. We used to want you to Escape Completely. Then we wanted you to Come Back New. There is always something Exciting and New. Now we want you to Love This Boat. But, through all these changes you can rest assured that we will always be Consistently Inconsistent.
