  1. Are you taking on ownership of this now as I daresay that keeping up hyperlinks will be a big job?
  2. Sorry, but no such thing as a 2-device plan.
  3. My suggestion is to review the ship deck plans and familiarize yourself with what's where before making your next booking.
  4. Anyone can use any of your connections if you give them your login credentials.
  5. But you need to make a new res for those 8 nights. What I would do in your shoes is have my table (2-top) established by DR Mgmt for the entire voyage with the same waiters (DMW does NOT do this for you). Then, I would speak to my Head Waiter or DR Mgr about that final leg and tell them friends are joining and could they block you into a nearby sufficiently large table (6-top, 8-top?) so you can still keep same general location and waiters (assuming you like them). Send your friends an email from the ship and tell them dining is all arranged.
  6. Exactly. Princess marketing calls things like 360 and CTL "Experiential Dining". They should have broken those out into a separate category. It also seems like they are doing their best to hide costs now where they were more readily available. Sometimes I wonder if IT sets up these pages without direction/input from marketing.
  7. Agree with your post, but truly the above statement applies to almost any business that needs an infusion of new customers as children grow into adults and older adults die off.
  8. If you weren't previously aware, CT on Pre-Royal Class ships has always been offered at a lower price point than CTL on Royal Class ships. I suppose the exclusive place with lighted glass tubes surrounding the table, making it more private, was a significant factor since my understanding is the food and wine is quite similar in scope and value.
  9. Go to Princess.com. Click on "Cruise Deals" one the top line of choices. The current deal is in a big display. Click on "View Cruises". Should show just those cruises eligible. All their deals work the same way.
  10. Agree. They don't even look to throw in St Maarten as a swap for STT the odd time. Tons of voyages to the same Western Caribbean ports. Tons of beach stops. Looks like the Star is the one for beach lovers since half its trips go to Cays, Cove and Turk only. All three basically beach stops. You have to take a 10-nighter to get any variety in the Caribbean. That said, at least our first voyage on Sun or Star would be for the new ship experience and I wouldn't really care where it went for the week.
  11. Check out the Deck Plans on Princess.com. Also, on Princess.com, they used to have the details of all the Casual Dining locations here: https://www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/food-and-dining I see they have removed access to those pages and there is no link. IDK why that is, but I do notice all the pages in the food and dining section have been redesigned, so either they are working on the CD info or omitted providing a link to more detailed pages. The deck plans will show you the CD locations. Generally, will be on Decks 5 thru 7, plus Lido Deck on all ships except Sun Class. Vines, Salty Dog Gastropub, and if Sushi served anywhere. They may also have Planks & Steamers pop-up in Buffet some days. This was all documented on the website and IDK why it seems removed (or hidden somewhere else).
  12. Thanks for the replies. Any recipe I have ever seen calls for Large Eggs. It seems to be the standard size in grocery. Maybe I should take my small kitchen scale into a store and weigh a carton (dozen) of each size and see if any appreciable weight difference. I have not researched the subject and wouldn't have thought the yolks are about the same size. I will admit that recently I picked up a Medium carton of a brand I often buy by mistake and peaked inside before replacing it in the cooler and selecting a Large size. I admit that the Mediums did not look all that much smaller and a couple appeared to be about same size as Large (without picking them out of the container for closer inspection). Your posts got me doing a little research. I saw that indeed yolks are the same, so the biggest concern would be a recipe that calls for egg whites as virtually all recipes are written presuming large eggs being used. In Ontario a Medium egg is a min 49g (1.73oz), a Large egg is min 56g (2oz), and an Extra Large is min 63g (2.22oz). I also read where a carton should weigh a total of at least 21oz for Medium and 24oz for Large. It seems for recipes needing only 1 or 2 eggs, a Medium will do, but eventually you add an egg to make up for the size difference. Maybe we could buy more Medium and save a buck or two. I guess the yolk has been on me.
  13. Do the ships use medium eggs? Do many restaurants? IDK anyone who actually buys less than large eggs. Not that I know everyone mind you.
  14. The mysteries of the App malfunctions are not always known. I would suggest resetting password and see if it doesn't sync up. A long time back there were many reports of mismatches, but this was when App was fairly new. It could be that you are out of sync. How long have you been using the App? Did you ever get in with ID/Pswd combination?
  15. Not sure of your cabin category nor cost per day for the cruise, but $50/pp/day is a VERY generous discount level off most fares.
  16. You did get a good summary from @skynight, but to be clear, your 3rd person in same cabin can purchase the Plus cruise fare package just like the other two. It can be purchased in advance or on board. On board lets the guest pay for it partially with any OBC you have. Since your TA was eager to sell you the Plus package, it seems odd they didn't also try to sell it to the 3rd guest.
  17. What makes you think you get a 10% discount? Am I missing something?
  18. The cost for CG now is getting more like a restaurant meal rather than a surcharge over the included MDR meal. I agree on the value. If the cut of beef isn't anything special anymore, then it isn't worth the charge just to sit in a different venue, IMO. I would try CG again on our next cruise, but if the beef doesn't measure up, I'd move on. Actually, I prefer to get UBD now and you get a steak that is more like what they serve at WMD or CTL.
  19. The previous internet pricing was never cheaper on board. It was cheaper pre-cruise and that was a big issue for Platinum and Elite because many folks had to pay full price in advance and get the 50% rebate on board in order to save the higher cost. If you book Plus package and get single device internet included, you will have the offer on board to buy upgrade to 4-device plan, but the only discount is saving 50% due to Platinum/Elite CC member level.
