  1. It's not really so much just a 72-hr limit to find a price drop. It is only for a specified time period related to a particular sales promotion and ends Oct 31. The second thing is the guest has to find this lower price on Princess.com. So, it's just a refare if the price drops. I don't see anything new here. Move along folks to the next thing "exciting and new" that comes from the Ivory Tower in Santa Clarita.
  2. Interesting news perhaps but what does this have to do with Princess Cruises?
  3. I see this simply as a sales tactic to accelerate future bookings. Sure, if the ships get fuller, they will raise prices. But if there are cabins to fill later on, prices are going to drop. Same old, same old IMO.
  4. I see a fee of $19 which seems more 2023 than $10 that was mentioned earlier.
  5. You charge cabin account 100 AUD. When you settle up, make sure Princess charges your CC in AUD. Do not let them convert to USD for you. It is not 1:1 and they use worse rate than CC.
  6. Vines may have more WBTG, but not more bottle labels. I was inquiring about the main wine list which has both bottle pricing and glass pricing (for those that they do pour BTG).
  7. My sense from this forum over the years is that SP is one of the toughest ports for anything, including priority processing.
  8. I agree. No way is anything on Deck 5 Aft going to be up to level you booked. What Category did you book the GTY in? If you don't know, look at your Travel Summary. The system will have told you the category when pricing. Did you self-book or use a TA?
  9. Is this another case of PCL Right Hand not knowing what the Left Hand is saying/doing? Is it a misunderstanding or miscommunication? It it IT's fault somehow? LOL on that one. I guess we need to wait for more word and dust to settle in order to figure out if this is real or an imagined gift.
  10. If you visit the MDR where they have the FULL wine list, it would be nice if you could snap photos of each page. It appears there have been changes in both labels and prices in recent times and AFAIK we don't have any records here of the full wine list. Much thanks in advance as I know it is several pages. Perhaps do it over a couple of visits if possible. Anything would be helpful.
  11. It's generic. No more advance notice of ship personnel. I think it used to be incorrect before at times, so perhaps they gave up since changes can happen and if they don't promise someone specific, then no one can complain.
  12. They convert the cruise fares and port taxes at a fixed rate that Princess resets from time to time. They do the same for Canada. The Canada premium rate now is 1.35. a $1,000 US voyage costs $1,350 CAD. Once a guest has a booking, anything they purchase via Cruise Personalizer or App is also converted at the 1.35 (even if Princess adjusts the rate for new bookings). OBC is in USD for Canada. I am sure in Australia, purchases pre-cruise from CP or the App will be at the rate used when cruise was booked. Their OBC is in AUD and remains as such for their cruises where ship currency is AUD. I am guessing an Aussie who gets SOBC and books a US voyage, ends up with $100 US from their $100 AUD. For Australia, they take whatever OBC you get in USD and convert it 1:1 into AUD. Nasty for us, but works well for the Aussies coming the other way. This is things like MOBC, SOBC.
  13. Princess converts all OBC at 1:1. It is unfortunate but been that way before Covid even.
  14. The lottery is across the fleet AFAIK. So if each ship is drawing numbers each night, IDK how much of the jackpot is won on a single ship. Actually, this sounds weird, so I am not sure how it really works - I did ask one time a while back in the casino.
  15. The message refers to the typical situation of a guest upgrading from something less than a Suite.
  16. Anyone hear of a guest winning this thing? Seems like the jackpot has been around this number for a while???
  17. Ooooo.. I wouldn't do that. After calling PCL, if no satisfaction, I would at least book 2 couples at a 4-top and the other can book themselves at a 2-top. And then visit CG on Day 1 and explain the situation, They can likely combine the tables and free up the 2-top. At worst, you could be seated next to each other. I am sure it can work out for the OP, but I wouldn't look for them to book up three tables.
  18. I will put a percentage blame on the Spa. They should not be taking appointments on TA morning before 11:00am.
  19. Yes, there will be one or two labels of champagne poured by the glass. Just pay the difference between the menu price and $15, plus 18% on the price difference and you can have all the champagne you want.

  21. @Cruisepurl, I have another suggestion. Book the cruise you want now and pay deposit. When you receive the FCC's, the should auto-post to your booking and reduce the balance owing. If not, just have you r TA contact PCL to apply - or they can do it self-serve in POLAR.
