  1. Thanks for sharing and congrats on being chosen to sail. Personally I probably wouldn't have answered that unknown call. I agree with your impressions of the JS. Does that TV swivel so it can face the bed?
  2. We just get them at the pier from the luggage handlers or at some ports RCI has a desk set up and you can easily get them from the staff there. Their the same as airline tags. Just write your name and cabin number on them and you're good to go.
  3. Very sad to hear your disappointment with Navigator. We sail her often (home port) and have always had a great experience on her.
  4. We booked the day the Icon was released. For 2 adults and 2 kids (KSF) in a Surfside Suite 7 nights in May was right around 7k. We didn't think this was too bad.
  5. We've done the 9 night out of Cape Liberty a few times and as recently as this past October. We think that itinerary and departure port is a great choice and have done it on Anthem & Liberty. However, if Boston is your only option it will more than likely be on a smaller ship. Radiance or Vision class. Agree week of Feb 12th is when it will probably open as this has been when we usually book for best pricing and cabin category location. Best of luck and enjoy.
  6. Request a pack-n-play be on your reservation. Also bring your own fitted sheets for these.
  7. We love the Navigator out of San Pedro (our home port) and sail on her usually a few times a year. She has one of the best ice shows fleetwide !!! Glad you enjoyed her.
  8. I purchase all my internet on Black Friday for the cruises I have booked that apply.
  9. I also got a couple for Xmas from my extended family. I went into my cruise planner and under make a payment for my May cruise I clicked on this and there was the link to use these gift cards towards my final balance which is due middle of February as I know it has to be done before FB is paid.. I input the info asked for the credit card number, expiration date and CVV number. This has changed since I last used a gift certificate where you were to use the certificate serial number and certificate authorization code. Not sure why RCI has changed this redemption method. However I did this on January 17th and as of today the 27th I see my final balance due has not been credited yet. I'll have to call now...another IT problem with RCI. The old method worked so easily and was credited in about 5 business days

  11. Love Cracker Barrel !!!! So glad we finally got one on the west coast (Camarillo).
  12. I believe if it's going to be a "no show" you don't have to even do the online check in....right ??
  13. We're getting ready to sail on Explorer again with a 9 nighter February 23. However her 11 nighter March 30, 2025 really looking forward to this special itinerary.
  14. Agree...Once we went from a JS to a GS a few years ago we were hooked. Now it's OS for us as often as we can, but nothing below a GS for our suite addiction.
  15. After many years of RCI cruising we're WJ converts especially for dinner. Dress is always casual and each night has a theme. Most of the senior crew eat in there nightly and usually the captain does also. The only unfortunate thing is many people have found out and it's been getting crowded. You might be surprised at how much you'll enjoy it.
  16. Wouldn't it be easier to just back into the elevator rather than try to turn around once in it ? Just an observation of what I've noticed.
  17. No need to cancel the two kids. We got a KSF for our May Icon cruise and now our two grandkids can't go. We'll have them be a no show since we don't want to take the chance our cabin (Surfside Suite) is changed as we're next door to family.
  18. I'll certainly assume the lavish spread at the WJ will go back to the normal offerings by the time we cruise in May....Too bad !!
  19. We find it easier to quickly show our printed SetSail Pass that notes we're in a suite but thanks for your realistic approach. I'll continue to hopefully print our SP.
  20. SetSail Pass removed on some sailings...Not happy about that. Why does everyone/thing assume that using your phone for things is not always what you prefer to do.
  21. Contact RCI for post cruise.....800 256-6649' You hopefully should have no trouble getting this disputed charge removed.
  22. Adding that when the "fire doors" to the hallways are opened by staff.
  23. Not a fan of the new test form for "Ask A Cruise Question" Please don't change this !!
