  1. Most all excursions have a minimum age requirement the one you quoted is 7 yrs. old and many are 5 yrs old. Luckily this past September our grandson was 5 and able to do the Deadliest Catch Tour in Ketchikan. He also did the summer musher camp in Juneau. These were two of his favorites. If the OP wants to go to the hatchery it's an easy walk up Creek street to get to it.
  2. Are you talking about that one little lobster tail...another one is hardly worth $17.00
  3. Not only excursions..everything can vary...regardless.
  4. Our fridge on Navigator last month was very cold. But agree with the above to contact special needs either online or 866 592-7225.
  5. That will depend on the weather in Juneau...For us it was getting dark and raining.
  6. Will they be adding an El Loco Fresh? We love this on Navigator.
  7. Also remember to look for the Key sign at the San Pedro pier as you'll be able to check in and board with the suites. This is something I was surprised to see as I've never noticed it before. Enjoy Navigator and don't miss the ice show...iSkate Reach For The Stars. One of the best fleetwide.
  8. Sorry I can't remember exactly but I do know I researched it before we cruised using the cruiseline and a couple of private options and what we ended up paying was considerably cheaper and we were very happy we ended up booking it this way instead. You won't have any trouble as you get off the cruise shuttle bus as the operator of this excursion was right there with a BIG sign and had a couple of buses waiting. We paid, got on the bus that filled up quickly and we were on our way. This was a great tour to both places. I had read about this option being a possibility and was so happy (as was my extended family of 6 that included two of our grand kids) it turned out to be so easy.
  9. Too bad there isn't a safe way to do this. I have a $700 FCC from Celebrity and doubt I will use it. I wish RCI would accept these.
  10. Yes...Only the Radiance has a small balcony, cabin 1054. All the other Radiance class ships only have a wall of windows. But great views from them...some of our extended family sailed on Serenade in 1054 this past September and loved this cabin.
  11. We did the Deadliest Catch tour (again) this past September onboard RCI Serenade. We docked right next to where the Aleution Ballad was docked..just a few steps away and down the covered ramp. FYI...go get in line early to get your choice of seats. If you booked through the cruiseline you'll just need your excursion ticket to board. We've usually booked direct with the company on their website but for the first time booking through the ship was cheaper...very surprised. Docking in Juneau we couldn't have been farther out (this was a first for us) however they did offer a shuttle bus and lines were long both going and coming back with a drop off pick up near the edge of town. Sitka a shuttle bus is needed to get into town...again roundtrip. We purchased a tour to the Fortress of the Bear and the Raptor Center from a person selling this tour as we exited the shuttle bus. This worked out great. Remember the docking locations can vary depending on how many ships are in port. The docking location in Juneau was the worst we've seen during our 5 cruises on RCI for Alaska and there was only one ship docked there with us that day which made no sense.
  12. More than likely you'll need to be off around 9am. Personally we find it less crowded to do self assist.
  13. This is great information for those wanting to cruise Alaska that have this situation. This question seems to be asked often and you have phrased it well.
  14. We sailed on the Jewel in July 2022 and Serenade September & October 2022. No real complaints as they were both in great condition. Go for the itinerary, either ship will be fine.
  15. We've also cruised Alaska a few times (5) and where we decide to view the glaciers can vary. Actually loved one of our true aft cabins on RCI...enjoying the glacier in my PJ's wrapped up in a blanket and sipping hot chocolate....NICE !!!
  16. In addition to the above...there will be a fee from $200-250 (cleaning) charged, and if the policy offense continues it can be cause for removal from the ship at the next port.
  17. OP...you didn't mention the ice show...We sailed on Navigator in January 2022 & 2023 and found the iSkate Reach For The Stars one of the best. We're booked again for Feb 2025 (an interesting story about how I booked that one so early) officially that schedule should be opening soon.
  18. I've cruised the Mexican Riviera onboard RCI for years and have been on Navigator a couple of times since RCI came back to our coast and last month was the first time I've seen this Cruise Compass warning. I think it's very doubtful you'll be getting a bill and I'm sure RCI did whatever they could with limitations to help accommodate you. Best wishes to all of you and do come back and sail Navigator again.
  19. So sorry for your loss and you managed well an unthinkable situation. Just a quick question...We were on Navigator last month and noticed in the Cruise Compass a warning that basically says that each port is under the control of local authorities. Fines up to $7500 can be imposed on guests failing to return onboard on time in Mexico ports of call. Was this said to you at all?
  20. This location used to be Thrifty/Dollar...It is indeed the closest. The OP should check out using Budget prices for this location using Costco.
  21. OP if you're a Costco member check out their rates online for your rental. We always get the best price using them. I also agree take a taxi to FLL and rent there.
  22. We were supposed to be on next months Navigator cruise. That cruise was chartered and we were price protected and so we sailed last month. No big deal to us as it's our home port but we were given notice of this in early May 2022. So sorry for those that have this happen and have to make alternate plans.
  23. How was the WJ on this ship? We'll be on Liberty in October for her Canada NE itinerary out of Cape Liberty. Haven't been on LOS in a long time.
  24. The OP can just check pricing on the RCI website. The OP should cancel the bid and place a new bid with a valid card.
