  1. I’ve had cabin 756 on both the Moon & Dawn. We also have it for our January cruise from Jordan to Mumbai. Is it any better than any other cabins ? I really don’t know, but we liked the location, and it was quiet, so we stuck with it.
  2. I love being on the 11th floor. Almost like being on a private yacht . The observation bar is empty most of the day, and like having a living room. Nice outdoor deck space with loungers and couches overlooking the pool. Of course in the evening, just roll off your bar stool right into the cabin !
  3. My wife would love it, but I don’t eat fish. I guess it would be separate dining that night. My loss
  4. Going to miss your posts, and most of all your sense of humor ! Safe travels home, Mr & Mrs Fudge !!
  5. Caviar in the surf, and beach party is always a highlight and never disappoints IMO. This one was in Thailand on an Ovation cruise in 2019. I don’t think we’ll be enjoying one on our Trans Atlantic in April. I’ve been enjoying your adventures Mr & Mrs Fudge. I always wanted to visit St. Kitts, so really enjoyed the descriptions.
  6. Isklaar, This particular Dutch couple was also on the Ovation Christmas cruise in 2021-2022, and have been seen on one cruise a few months later, which shows that Seabourn continues to tolerate their behavior. This includes demanding the large revenue wine glasses in the MDR when they drink house wine, a certain table there (woe to anyone deigning to be seated there any earlier), and hogging the pool for themselves at their precise morning and evening times swims. Fortunately, they have no friends and so do not socialize in the Obs Bar or Club so their glowering and smirking is limited to their peculiar activities. Maybe they think that after sailing many days they are entitled to some one superior status? We were on that Ovation cruise, and fortunately never ran into this couple. However, I do remember seeing them in the pool in the evening. I wound up with Covid on that cruise, along with many others. I wonder how they fared ?
  7. These “ entitled Chogs” certainly are annoying to say the least. They used to annoy me, but I had to remind myself that I live in Florida with my own pool, and 10 minutes from the beach. HOWEVER, many on most cruises are from cold weather areas trying to get some Sun and warmth. I was brought up to have manners, be courteous , and have consideration for others. Totally aggravating to see some with an, “ I’ve got mine attitude” Mr & Mrs Fudge, I’ve been enjoying your posts on this and on the Ovation. We’ll be taking the Ovation across “ the pond” on Easter. No need to save us a lounger, just a few IPA’s would be nice though.
  8. Should’ve been next to the bed. I have to remember to proofread the auto correct! Lol
  9. Was just looking at the website. Veranda floor plan still shows a small cabin, with a small closet next to the bed .One of the reasons we weren’t crazy about the old Crystal. Don’t see us sailing with them in the future.
  10. You might also want to call Seabourn guest relations , and ask if they can extend you a reservation at TK for that date. They do ask on the passenger registration if you’re celebrating an event
  11. We usually look at itineraries first, and then pricing. Along with Oceania, this strategy has taken us on Seabourn, Regent and Silversea all of which we’ve sailed several times. Do we have a favorite? As far as we’re concerned, they all have their pros and cons. However, we wouldn’t sail on anything larger than Oceania . After our first Oceania over 10 years ago, we no longer had any desire for larger ships. Before that we sailed on Princess and Celebrity . We had good experiences on both, but developed a taste for small ship sailing . Just our preference.
  12. If you buy the package on the ship it’s $10 more for the package than if you bought it beforehand. Can you upgrade and from the select to prestige and pay beforehand ?
  13. I’m sure that the new Crystal will have its niche and fans, but I’m sure Silversea isn’t concerned. I did get an email that Monday will be a sneak preview. Should be interesting to see what Manfredi etc have done.
  14. Sharkb8, glad you made it. Must be an amazing place, and definitely on my bucket list. Goalie dad, thanks for posting your pictures.
  15. My wife and I used to think the Colonel was a myth. Any cruise that we were booked on that the Colonel reportedly was going to be on, never panned out. However, we did meet a woman on the Silver Dawn Trans Atlantic in November that met him on a tour during the maiden voyage. Between that, and rojaan 19 having sailed with him, the myth be shattered.
  16. Mysty, you’ve got a good memory, because I’d forgotten about that. Thank you for the compliment too. I should’ve mentioned that I was a late night patron at “The Bar” being entertained by Oliver. After the show Fernando would come in with the performers, and sometimes Oliver would sing. I only wished I could’ve been on for the whole cruise. What fun getting to know everyone on the ship. I still remember all of the magnets on the stateroom doors. Great fun !
  17. My wife and I have done segments of the WC, twice on the Silversea Whisper.. First time in 2013 from Capetown to Fort Lauderdale, and in 2015 from Sydney to Singapore. We never found the world cruisers to be cliquish, and made many friends. Had a great time, and doing some segments on the Dawn in 2025. Also did a segment on Crystal from Tokyo to San Francisco. We actually ran into a Silversea world cruiser on that trip. Segments are a great way to do an itinerary that’s not usually available.
  18. I wonder if the corkage fee applies if you have the all inclusive the line drink package
  19. Some of the crew will be doing a little extra work. Luckily no one was hurt when the mooring lines gave way
  20. Not sure about swans, but ducks shouldn’t be fed bread. Plenty of other foods that they can eat, asflamin Jane uses to, supplement their diet Bread fills them up, but unfortunately has no nutritional value.
  21. Outstanding photos. It may have been a difficult journey to get there, but looks like it was well worth it. Still on my bucket list
  22. Lol, not much luck. Someone did contact me. I sent their email address to Seabourn, but when I asked them for their booking # to fill out the coupon they ghosted me and disappeared. Very rude to say the least, and a waste of my time .
  23. You’ll only have a veranda on one side of you . I stayed in a room like that on the Quest and liked it.
  24. I second the SALT bar . Love that drinking venue. We were always there when they opened up. Afzul came on in FLL when we got off. The assistant Pall was very good .
  25. Great pictures ! Transiting the canal never gets old,and always exciting. I’ve been enjoying your voyage updates and pictures. Keep them coming!
