  1. We just used Seabourn Air to book our return flight from London in April. Business class for the 2 of us, nonstop to Orlando on Virgin Atlantic for a total of $3400. Very pleased with the price and the airline
  2. Thanks for the great reports Lois . We’re jealous! We got off the beautiful Dawn on 12/16 after our TA. I had that same meal at SALT kitchen. Yum !
  3. I’m sailing on the Ovation on April 9th 2023. Anyone new to Seabourn sailing on or before that date that needs a $250 referral, please contact me . battchief20@gmail.com
  4. I cleaned out my closet awhile back, and gave a few away. I usually bring my backpack for trips ashore. It’s been everywhere including China.
  5. Living in Florida, I don’t like wearing jeans, but shoes and polos . However, I don’t expect the dress code to accommodate myself, nor do I want them to . We’ve got several Seabourn cruises under our belts as recent as November. However, our recent Silversea cruise this month, convinced us to cancel our April Seabourn. Since Covid we’ve sailed Seabourn twice, Silversea twice and Regent once . As much as we enjoyed Seabourn, it’s not the same Seabourn that we knew and loved . IMHO.
  6. I’m sorry Lois, but I really don’t know. I was picked up by a car service, and he knew where to go. Hopefully, someone else on here will know .
  7. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class = great travel experience, both in the air, and on the ground. Great lounge , “ clubhouse “
  8. As reported a fantastic cruise IMO. Crew were absolutely wonderful . Food, entertainment, activities all just great. Already home almost 7 hours, bags unpacked, clothes washed ,and the reality of being home the real world is here. I should be getting ready to go out to SALT bar . Instead deciding what to eat, and have to cook it ourselves! Thanks Silver Dawn for a flawless and memorable cruise !
  9. It’s been a great cruise, with everything almost perfect. We’re going to hate to get off on Friday. The only saving grace is that we go home to beautiful weather in Florida. Of course knowing that we’ve got a few future cruises on SS to look forward to, also makes getting off easier .
  10. Life continues to be good on another perfect sea day. Tomorrow will be a busy day for the crew in San Juan . As it will be the Dawn’s first trip in US waters, in addition to the usual immigration, there’s inspections by the USCG, US public Health, crew drills etc . Although some passenger are departing tomorrow, we all have to be off by 9 am for immigration , and during the inspections. Going on a tour to the rain forest , so not really that big of a deal
  11. It if it wasn’t for bad luck, you’d have no luck at all . You definitely have had some interesting trips
  12. Beautiful day at sea today aside from a brief shower. Last night at the grill, the weather was simply gorgeous, and nice to be outside. The moon even made an appearance!
  13. Sitting in our cabin enjoying a lazy breakfast watching the world go by . Nothing else to add, as spins has everything well covered. Life is good on the Dawn !
  14. As spins has reported , yesterday was a gloomy day with rough seas . I have to admit that I kind of like it, and I find the creaking sounds comforting at night . This morning is a bright sunny day with calmer water and warm temperatures. I believe the books will be appearing on the loungers . All is still well on the Dawn, and I won’t want to get off . The world cruise of 2025 will be on the Dawn , and some of the segments look pretty inviting.
  15. As reported above, a gray morning and a little rough this morning. It was a great night for sleeping though . Everything still going smoothly and it’s a delightful cruise. Holly a young woman and Silversea singers has had 2 solo shows , and a 3rd tonight. Very talented with a beautiful voice. We also had a nice chat with her one morning in the artists cafe . Only one week left !😱. Hopefully it’ll go nice and slow !
  16. Another beautiful morning on the Dawn . The weather is in the 70’s and sunny . Had an excellent dinner at the more than half empty Salt Restaurant last night . Everything is good on the Dawn
  17. Another beautiful morning on the beautiful Dawn at sea. The elves worked extra hard yesterday, and the ship is fully decorated. I’ve got 100 days both on Silversea and Seabourn. I was on a Seabourn cruise less than 3 weeks before this cruise . My wife and I have both come to the conclusion that Silversea surpasses Seabourn by far. The food and service has been wonderful, and beautifully presented. To be fair we’re a little more than half occupancy. However, with all the dining choices the service is wonderful and the food excellent. We’ve only encountered one hiccup at Spacanaoppli when we arrived after a tour with a large group arriving before us. However, they were quick to send reinforcements. The speakers have been excellent.
  18. A beautiful and bright sunny day in Madeira, and mild temperatures near 70. a great day to go out and enjoy Madeira. Hopefully the crossing will be just as nice as today. Everything else is going just fine. We ate in LaTerazza last night. We were dressed formally too. We were in the back , so didn’t see the people not dressed apparently. Glad to hear it was enforced.
  19. Day 1 on the beautiful Dawn is now in the books. I had a seat at the SALT bar last night, so alls right with the world . Nice dinner in Atlantide last night. I was told occupancy is a little over 300. Great service! A nice start to the cruise
  20. Thanks spins either half or 70% , better than a full load. Perhaps I’ll still be able to get my favorite seat at the SALT bar. Lol see you tomorrow
  21. Anxiously awaiting boarding tomorrow. It’s a beautiful bright sunny day in Lisbon this morning, but rain forecast for tomorrow. Do you know if we’ll be making the inaugural crossing at full capacity? Thanks for the updates
