  1. If you are booked and your reaching your 75th day during the cruise your tag should say platinum. As you say it's not call Carnival and ask why not.
  2. Look at your luggage tag should say platinum on it
  3. Our original tradition was to head directly to lido with carry on grab a cheeseburger, before Guys burgers began, a cocktail or two and people watch. Now that we have been platinum for a few years, we head directly to muster drill get it out of the way and then a Guys burger a couple of drinks and more people watching. Always attend the sail away party.
  4. We are also Choose OVs over main deck for all the above reasons.
  5. Have done the canal full transit on Elation and Miracle. Both went through the original locks. Have not seen a Conquest class ship go through these locks. The Conquest might be going into the new locks. The Pride into the old ones. For me the canal is the old locks.
  6. At the beginning. Check your luggage tags, should say platinum, if not call Carnival and have it corrected. Enjoy the perks.
  7. Take it, cruising Alaska with a balcony is wonderful. Your private window to the fabulous scenery.
  8. Your not allowed, When your platinum enjoy the perk, until then,OBEY THE RULES !!!!
  9. Your trip sounded so fantastic. We can't wait for our first journey to London and cruise out of Southampton next year.
  10. Can only give you our last experience on the Freedom last December. On all B2Bs you have to wait until the ship is cleared of passengers before your check in begins. Ours began around 9:15am checked in had our complimentary mimosas in the atrium and around 10:30am we were allowed off the ship.
  11. Agree, also much more to do in Long Beach.
  12. After the check in for the second leg of your B2B you can leave the ship. Don't forget your new S&S card. When returning just go to the terminal entrance and you will be led back on board, no waiting on line.
  13. Lease a car, one way. Fly into LAX or LGB, Uber to port. San Diego to LGB is 113 miles. LAX to Long Beach port is about 18 miles. LGB to port is about a 15-20 minute drive.
  14. A lot more to do in the Long Beach port area. San Pedro is just across the bay from Long Beach, it's a short drive.
  15. Experience with flying out of LAX from Long Beach, only a few miles further than San Pedro is never schedule before 1:00pm.
  16. The function of the app has two uses. One to make a reservation, the second a wait time until your reservation and then alerting you when your reservation is ready. Going to the MDR and checking in gets you nowhere, your placed in line with everyone else. Sometimes the five minute wait works, sometimes it doesn't.
  17. The closing of brunch will not affect us. We always go but it's more like a late breakfast for us. Usually go between 9:30 and 10:00.
  18. Here are the hotels just south of Port Canaveral. Between the Country Inn and Holiday in I think there's a Hilton Resort.
  19. Call Carnival and link your bookings. You will be seated together.
  20. Found one inside an elevator on a ledge. How about one on the Alchemy bar shelf.
  21. My experience would be not past the second week of September. Everything begins to shut down for the season. Our first cruise was Sept 2nd and there were end of season sales in all the cities. Be prepared for all kinds of weather. Bring layer type clothing, hat and gloves. We had a great time on the Sept cruise, even with the days of rain and drizzle we had. You will be awed with the photo ops you will get.
  22. We like the Carnival Journeys 14 day from Long Beach. Have done two so far and a third next year. This cruise incorporates all we like, 6 ports and a bunch of sea days.
  23. I just came across what I think your looking for. April, Apple introduced their Air Tags. One cost $29.99 a pack of 4 for $99.00. Did not see any fee attached.
  24. We have been on the Miracle 3 times and a 4th to Alaska next year. The ship is one of the oldest in the fleet. The ship will go to dry dock this October for needed mechanical repairs and hopefully some updating. The decor is to say the least unusual. We enjoy the ships small size, less capacity than the new mega ships. It's a perfect size ship to do Alaska. Check the You Tube packing for an Alaska cruise. A general answer would be be prepared for any kind of weather. There will be whale sittings from the ship, but what side and will you be on tat side to see them. ( do an excursion, you won't be disappointed ). Juneau and Icy Strait Point are great whale excursion ports. We had a fantastic excursion from ISP on our last cruise. Skagway is a small town, pretty much one street, two blocks long. All wooden buildings, wood side walks. If you want to get a feel of the history of Skagway in the late 1890s there's lots of info on the internet. Victoria is a beautiful city, you dock pretty much right downtown. If you do a dogsled excursion, let's us know how it went. We are doing one next year. Have a great cruise, I will bet you will be going back again. Alaska is a one of a kind place to visit.
