  1. We are booked for Aug, Sept, Nov and Jan. Love oasis class and looking forward to it.
  2. We boarded Allure yesterday. We had a 2:00 check in because I knew I had to work. I managed to leave early and we were eating lunch in Park Cafe at noon. Our experience with PC is no one looks at times and it’s been very efficient recently.
  3. Magnets for hanging everything and anything inside cabin Magnet for door- makes finding my cabin more easier Medications for everything AirPods- not everyone wants to hear the music I like to listen to Phone/watch/ AirPod chargers French Vanilla creamer Books for me, adult coloring book and pencils for DH
  4. I am very loyal to the price not brand. With that said, I haven’t paid for a cruise since 2019. (Lots of casino) Very happy with Royal. I know exactly what to expect so I am rarely disappointed. We have sailed a large variety of ships, new and old, and always have a good time. In 2022 we did sail the Mardi Gras. First time was excellent, second time I couldn’t get off fast enough and the final time was fine because I lowered my expectations. We are D+ on Royal and Platinum on Carnival. 14 days from Diamond on Carnival and I doubt we will get there but I do see Pinnacle in my future. Boarding the Radiance on Saturday and the Allure next Friday. After that we have 10 booked. 8 on Royal and 2 on celebrity. What works for us doesn’t work for everyone. Enjoy life , it’s a gift.
  5. We just got off Allure yesterday. 3 night cruise, no formal night. I was surprised to see so many people dressed as if there was. Anything seemed to go and that included dressing up. Have fun!!
  6. The single sheet of paper with all the events lists is very similar to how Celebrity does it. On embarkation day there is a list of events for the week. Some of the events are open to all who qualify based on level. Many require an RSVP and if you don’t respond quickly you will not be able to attend.
  7. I also thought it was odd. Never had that happen before. Surface lots still had room but lots of cars behind us still coming in. I never looked back after boarding, got lost in my cruise trance. I think now they may have been saving some of the garage for the Allure.🤷🏻‍♀️
  8. We boarded Indy yesterday. Arrived at the port around 12:15 and they had the garage closed. They told us it would open in another hour. Had everyone park in the surface lots. Short walk but hope it’s not raining when we get back on Friday.
  9. It is a cheesesteak. They call it shaved beef but it comes on a small roll with cheese, peppers and onions. I transplanted years ago from Phila and this is as close as I get to a decent cheesesteak in FL. On Wonder 2 weeks ago was the best Kummelwreck we have had in a long time.
  10. We love CocoCay. We are in FL so we sail out of PC about once a month. It has become a ritual for my DH and me. Grab towels the day before, pack the bag with books, music, sunglasses and singles. Get off early, grab shaded loungers relax and enjoy peace, quiet and pina coladas. Once lunch is served we eat, pack up and go back to ship for some uncrowded hot tub time. Been there over 30 times, never rode the tram. Like the pool area over the beach. We have a pool in our backyard so we only go in if weather and water temp are perfect. Shaved beef sandwich and taco bar over the chicken sandwich and funnel cake. Other than tips for drinks we don’t spend anything and still enjoy ourselves. We often cruise with my MIL who has NEVER gotten off in CocoCay. To each his own!!
  11. Coco Cay for sure!!! Never been on Liberty but sailed many, many times on Indy. I prefer the weekday crowd over the weekend crowd. I also consider Nassau to be a sea day but with less trivia and more deck chairs available.
  12. On the Wonder a few weeks ago on disembarkation day I asked if I could use my D privilege for a cappuccino and the response was ” of course you can” with a big smile. This from the officer standing nearby when I asked the crew member behind the counter. Very accommodating and friendly.
  13. Samba is awesome. We ate there on the Allure and the Radiance. In addition to the food the service has always been excellent.
  14. Also caught the last parade and was so glad we did. It was so much fun.
  15. We sailed Wonder 3/19 and were very pleasantly surprised. We expected it to be so very crowded and although it was full we never felt it was crowded. I loved Voices and the Ice show but not the aqua show. That is just personal preference. We saw Effectors and Taps also and they were both good. We sail again on 4/30 and can’t wait to get back on board. Hope you have a safe and wonderful trip! You will love the crew and the ship.
  16. I can confirm there is no priority boarding for D,at least in PC. We sailed on Indy 3/3 and had an 11:00am check in. We had to be seated in waiting area but because all the seats were occupied we were seated with the 12:30 check in time. This was exactly 11:00am. The rows of seats are released in order after Suites, Pinnacles and Key. That said we were on board by 11:20. On 3/19 we had a 10:30 check in for Wonder. We parked and entered terminal about 10:20 and never got to sit. By the time we checked in and got to seating area they started boarding and we walked right on at 10:35. We are D+ .
  17. Just off Apex last week and my biggest complaint was that there just wasn’t enough hours in the day to do everything they had to offer. We did find out dinner in Oceanview Cafe was challenging so we started eating our dinner at lunch because lunch there continued to be awesome. We sail her again in July and can’t wait because it’s 12 nights not 7.
  18. We are currently on the Mariner and expect to dock at Coco Cay in the morning. We got close to Nassau today but the Captain cancelled the stop as we entered the harbor. Weather was terrible and unsafe to attempt to dock. Disney was exiting as we were approaching. I assume it was the Wish.
  19. I’m so sorry for your loss but I appreciate you willing to share your story. It it a reality check for all of us to appreciate the gifts of life and love. I pray that if it would ever come to it my husband will have the strength you did to let me go peacefully. That shows the depth of your love. Prayers to you and your family.
  20. After reading this thread I have to chime in. We sailed MG in May and then again in August. We are boarding once more on the 29th and the. We are done with Carnival. The august cruise was the worst cruise I had ever been in on. Everything was overcrowded. We had anytime dining and our table was ready quickly but after getting seated we waited anywhere from 10 minute to 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge we were there. We are Platinum but had to wait until 3:30pm to access our cabin because it was not ready. We have sailed on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean and noticed a change since restart but nothing as bad as carnival. We also sailed on the Breeze in July 2021 at the beginning of restart and it was so much better. I think it is the big ship that Carnival does not do well. I am close to my 100th cruise so I do have experience to make the comparisons. I will say Java Blue was a bright spot for us. We ate breakfast there every morning.
  21. We were the lucky ones. Twenty years here and never saw anything like it. BTW it’s east Orange County. Fingers crossed I get onboard the Independence this Saturday. Prayers to all impacted.
  22. In July we were a party of 8 and loved it. Great service, great food and amazing views. Well worth it!!
