  1. we leave the CA in place as we have PLUS, then Premier we are working on a 'bribe bag' to give our steward upon meeting him / her the on embarkation day. for a little 5 day cruise - so far it contains (and my wife was working on this bag this morning) a thank-you in advance for ... with a $20 inside. It also contains a nice fingernail clipper set, a mini flashlight, some lip balm, some candies and whatever else she may pick up between now and then. we/she also made up some little bags for certain crew members we come across (Vines, for sure) that include the mini flashlight, lip balm and whatever else she comes across between now and then. Those people I will tip directly as warrants. Just to be clear, any bags are in addition to cash tips - not in lieu of
  2. @Greytgrey If you book a 'package' - either PLUS or Premier - the CA (crew appreciation) is included in that fare and can not be removed
  3. I am well aware of what I "should" get - but, hey - according to our travel summary - our package is complimentary of Princess - so maybe Princess just upped the complimentary of 'package, huh? I'll take the app
  4. when on a Princess forum - and the term Royal is used, well ... I figured out what you meant - many others didn't
  5. I've read ALL the responses - it's very clear that karena1 is referring to ROYAL Caribbean when she states Royal on a Princess forum - not Royal Princess cruise ship - but then again , I read ...
  6. I'm going with the app - we bought PLUS50 - our app is showing Premier for a cruise in less than 2 months now. the APP supersedes the travel summery, correct?
  7. how many days of the 17-day land cruise was land and how much was cruise? just curious ...
  8. we have tipped in Alfredo's before - we ate there embarkation day - packed - and our waiter still did a good job, no tip - really didn't think about it. (and I will state here, we don't tip in the mdr) Went back to Alfredo's, had the same waiter - he remembered us (don't know if he just said that or not) - not crowded and we had excellent service. We tipped him then - I'm guessing a few $$ - maybe $5?
  9. and you could smell like smoke when you got off the plane! - good times
  10. where are the posters who have actually missed the boat and got on at the next port - Real Life?
  11. Objection - Sustained - Exception - noted ... now move on I believe some of that was in 'The Verdict' with Paul Newman - certainly not directed at anyone other than myself in this thread😚
  12. In this specific case - it is missing getting back to the ship on time and rejoins the ship the next day at the next port IN THE SAME US STATE.
  13. the $20 we give to the porter at disembarkation is some of the best money we spend on a cruise out of PE. 'He' helps us get our bags, loads them on his cart, along with whatever else we carried off the ship. We get thru customs/immigration, and he takes the cart to our car in the adjacent parking garage at Terminal 2 and loads them in.
  14. not what I am looking for Wine - Didn't Take 5 'replace' Crooner's on one ship? - Whatever, it was, 'didn't' do it for us, sorry
  15. a difference in being pro-passenger and being pro-"CBP" - whatever that is passengers miss getting back to the ship it happens and rejoin at the next port at their cost
  16. yep, we were out drinking and didn't realize we weren't on ship time and missed the boat - Oh, MY 🦄 well, we did somehow make it to the next port, at our cost, and fully expect to be able to board the ship. We called the ship / whoever, and explained our lapse of judgement. Fine, what fine? closed loop out of CA with the stop in Ensadena (sp) Mexico
  17. so, what happens if they don't say anything ... and just don't get back to the ship in time for sailing? I know, I know - other passengers, blah, blah, blah - it's MY cruise and the risk of missing the ship at the next port due to weather, etc
  18. let's just get this clear from the start - On CC at least - Wifi and internet are the same thing and no need for an "expert IT consultant" to correct the difference - OK?
  19. lots of long time posters also never read the thread(s) - and repeat answers given hours before - all the time ... or just repeat a previous post changing a word or two SMH
  20. what about the $14.99 charge to access the ocean now app to order food and drinks on the app? does that utilize wifi?
  21. what good is 'free wifi' on the ship if you don't purchase an inTERnet package?
  22. the Thanksgiving cruise? - yeah - 100%+ capacity - never do that again...
