  1. I will try again. But she sails only in suites on HAL and has been all over the world. Not much Princess can offer her. I love "my" Window Suites and had her convinced. WIth only the Caribbean and occasionally the Grand, my hopes of getting her on a Princess ship are greatly diminished. I don't care for suite locations on the other ships. They are too high, too forward, and I don't care for aft location. So I shall add... 1. As long as Princess continues to sail out of San Pedro. 2. As long as Princess brings back the Grand. 3. As long as there are Window Suites. 4. As long as the Coral does local runs (not world cruises). 5. As long as Princess continues to have outstanding crew members. I will continue to sail with Princess. Thank you for your post.
  2. The very first crew I ever make friends with is the keeper of the peanut butter cookies! 🥜 + 🍪
  3. Trying to decide if I am able to eat (rebake frozen) some of my Peanut Butter cookies from my last cruise or stretch out the last of my stash. As awful as this sounds, it really is nice to have warm (freshly) baked cookies with milk when you least expect it.
  4. Cookies? Like Peanut Butter ones? I'm good with that.
  5. Wise investment. Nothing lost if you don't use it. Money (OBC) in the bank if you do. And what is it with the Chocolate Cake from Room Service. I didn't think that many people loved it as much as I did. It should be the simplest thing to make, yet, really one of the hardest things to find anywhere...on or off a ship.
  6. Emailed over the weekend, received early in the work week. I've done three this way in the past few months. I am not sure it is 100% guaranteed if you take your statement on board AND will receive CCL OBC.
  7. I got a report from a friend: NCL, 5 day cruise, 3 day weekend = never again.
  8. Do you personally know these cruises? I take anything posted on social networks with a grain of salt. Glad you trying to verify this on CC.. Print out the documents on your personalizer. Board and deal with it when you are charge (if you are).
  9. You may share this with her. There are two "disclaimers". 1. Plus beverages up to $15. 2. The check marks aren't included. I'm not sure if she has Plus or Premier, but the same should apply. If you can live without the "extras" you shouldn't have to upgrade to the $60 price.
  10. I cruised on Carnival and NCL before settling down with Princess. My cruisetour to Alaska was the cruise that made me a loyalist. I did "try" Holland America once for a short repo cruise. Probably not fair to have made a judgement based on that okay cruise, but Princess' home port is much closer to me. Shortly after my HAL cruise, my brother set up this scenario: (he knew some big wig with HAL/before he retired). If he could get me the highest star mariner on Holland America, would I switch my allegiance? Didn't take me long to say no. Now, on the other hand, my sister is a HAL loyalist. I've been trying to get her on a Princess cruise. Convinced her to give it a try. She hated the Medallion App (pre-fixes). We were all set to go when there was a family medical event. She hated how long it took to process AON. She did not want FCC since she didn't think she would ever cruise Princess. I am still working on her.....
  11. If you are going to put in a bid for a mini-suite, I would pay the extra $100 ($10 a day) for club class dining. With that said, I would not spend that much money for a mini-suite upgrade. I often travel in a suite with Club Class dining (fact/not boasting). I love Club Class dining. I can eat at any time my tummy tells me I am hungry. It is doesn't seem to be as rushed or hectic. I love the service (1 wait team for about 4-5 tables). It's your money. It's your cruise. It's your celebration. Do as you please. It's good you are asking for others experience. Everyone will have a different perspective.
  12. That's disappointing. I know many had an excursion planned. How's the ride in general? There has been strange weather happening everywhere.
  13. Which ship are you on? I've only had one and she was really never very busy (or helpful to me). OP...thank you for starting this thread. Sometimes we "forget" how great life on a cruise can be.
  14. I am more awake this morning. Recap: Booked a cruise a long time ago without Princess Plus (the all inclusive package) Changed my mind, added Princess Plus (drinks, wifi, gratuities) @ $50/day Charged: $53.50 per day. I will never understand how Princess calculates things. 7%. (0.07) was added to the $50. Insurance is 8%. Taxes in CA is 9+%. Makes absolutely no sense to me. This purchase was made: post booking before price increase pre-final payment (cruise itself is not paid for/on deposit only) paid for Princess Plus with a credit card/independent of final payment (another inquiry in itself). I guess I could call/chat/argue my lack of understanding, but am putting this out to those who may know more than Princess call center. Thank you to all for reassuring me that I am not the crazy one.
  15. Congratulations on your 15th Anniversary @FrankieJayIII. The hard part was the decision. I do hope you enjoy your upgraded package. But do keep in mind that what Princess feels is a "good" place to reserve a section of seats may not be your idea of an ideal location (same as Cabin Upgrades). From what I am reading, the reserved section was on the upper tier. Somewhere on the left where it could easily be cordoned off and monitored.
  16. Found a similar version. https://startsat60.com/media/lifestyle/jokes/daily-joke-an-older-woman-wanted-to-stay-in-a-hotel-for-the-night
  17. Whew….my heart skipped a beat. Still doesn’t answer why I paid more than $50 per day (but less than $60). Not going to fight Princess. Chalk it up to insurance and taxes. Notice the notes in red. I won’t be tempted to consume 2 ice cream creations a day!
  18. @wowzz Let me get this clear in my head…. My above screen shot is for a stand alone Plus Beverage Package…not the the Princess Plus? Plus Beverage Package is just drinks. Princess Plus is Plus Beverage Package, Medallion Net, and Crew Appreciation. Is that the same as Mini-Suites and Suites? or Medallion Class and Medallion? or Intranet and Internet? (I know this difference) Maybe I didn’t purchase Princess Plus for another cruise….ugh.
  19. I just signed on to my account to check a few things. I pre-purchased a Plus Package for later this year. I "thought" I paid $50 a day only to be surprised that it turned out to be slightly more than that total. I attributed that to insurance and taxes since I hadn't made final payment yet. We have been talking about $60/Plus and $80/Premier with 18% gratuity added on. You can imagine my surprise when this popped up tonight for another cruise (final payment made). **Plus is now $64.99 plus 18% gratuity ($76.69) **Premier is now $84.99 plus 18% gratuity ($100.29) Did I miss the memo? Am I the only one out there still talking about $60 and $80? Please clue me in and bring me up to date.
  20. A mini suite is just a glorified balcony in sometimes a better location. If you think you will enjoy a separate seating area, then that is the reason to upgrade to a mini (Plus a bathtub). The next step up is to a Club Class/reserved Mini. It will allow you to have dinner in the Club Class dining room. Mini Suites are NOT anywhere the same level of a Full Suite.
  21. Bids usually come after final payment. You can always modify your beverage package purchase up to 3 o 4 days before sailing. Glad you are looking at different options.
  22. Almost 6 PM and you are still sitting along side of the dock. Good thing you have lots of water between CA and Hawaii to make up the time. At least you got an embarkation DINNER. Hope you get out of Dodge soon. Bon Voyage.
