  1. It depends on what ship you are on. Explorer and Splendor do not open Compass Rose at lunch time. These ships open either Prime 7 or Chartreuse, though not on Embarkation Day. The other three ships do open Compass Rose at lunch from what I remember.
  2. It all depends on the port. There are some ports like Rome and London where it does pay to take the hotel night and transfer. A car service to the actual embarkation point is costly. A friend paid 350£ to get from London to Southampton a few weeks ago.
  3. Last night, onboard Splendor, Captain Luciano performed his first wedding renewal ceremony for two couples. It was held on the deck 4 atrium area and we saw the decorations. It looked lovely.
  4. @loriva, as I remember, Le Havre has a lovely harbor in the small, quaint downtown area and it’s quite nice to walk around.
  5. Latest update on our next segment, Splendor round trip beginning September 17th. This letter was on our bed this evening.
  6. Hi @loriva The word from Destination Services is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th WILL NOW BE A SEA DAY.
  7. Yes, we are also noticing a bar waiter and food server available after dinner in Coffee Connection. Passages occasionally shows a specific drink of the evening offered there……. Like we are still hungry after dinner!
  8. Peggy, Claudia Manzanares-Potts is Destination Services Manager. @loriva I asked at Destination Services regarding Edinburgh and was told they would know something on September 15. I will post when I have more information for us.
  9. Hi @loriva No word yet on Sept. 19th. I will try to ask Destination Services tomorrow. Lorraine is our CD and when she leaves, David Nevin will replace her. We have not heard the date of this switch. Also, tonight as we returned from Berlin, we saw the face recognition machine as we boarded.
  10. I also went on this excursion in 2018. Loved the Castle garden.
  11. They are good but I have to have some willpower!
  12. That would be fine with me. I’m not an icing fan on cronuts, but it does help determine the filling inside. Pink icing means raspberry filling from what I can remember.
  13. Virtuoso is a cruise consortium your TA uses. We get perks from ours. Contact your TA about the 30th Anniversary cruise.
  14. Yes, Navigator was the Regent ship used for world cruises for many years. One reason Mariner was selected for the World Cruise was because it was designed with a main hallway or thoroughfare (called I-95) that connects many parts of the ship where the crew live and work. Maybe more CC posters can describe this better than I.
  15. I though poster was talking about French Polynesia, so was very confused.
  16. @jhenry1 Check the Terms & Conditions that come with your invoice and your travel insurance.
  17. I used allodriver in 2017. reservations@allodriver.com. I don’t remember what we paid but it was reasonable. No complaints.
  18. Yes, @Gillyit's always good to give them another try. I am particular about the flavors as well. Enjoy your taste testing and report back here!!
  19. @Gillythe cronuts on Regent ships are light and airy with layers so more like a cross between a croissant and donut. Those you describe sound interesting. I scrape off the icing on top and prefer the cinnamon ones myself.
  20. I have to limit myself to one a cruise!
