  1. Glad your wife received such good service from your GP but you are one of the lucky ones. We have to request appointment online and then it is triaged by the surgery to decide next course of action. If you haven't got a computer then it is back to the telephone which can take hours just to get an answer never mind seeing a doctor. If it is urgent you usually get the "go up A&E" if it is not urgent you are lucky to get an appointment within 7 days and sometimes up to 14 days. Whilst there might be over reaction by certain members of the gutter press there are widespread serious problems with many GP surgeries depending on the area you live. You seem to be very lucky and you should be thankful but it certainly isn't the norm around other parts of the country. I wish your wife well and hope the antibiotics do there magic and hope she recovers soon.
  2. One thing for sure with the upcoming enhancements of BC and possibly PG/QG it will give Cunard an excuse to increase prices which I am sure they will do. Already prices of QG/PG have risen significantly since pre covid.
  3. No it doersnt it all depends on the cruise booked and we have never booked a cruise where we have been given OBC enough to cover gratuities, except for the odd occasion when we have booked onboard and got the extra OBC.
  4. I personally don't think afternoon tea in PG in PG restaurant on QV/QE is any great bonus and taken on Queens Room is a far better experience.
  5. If they don't I can see many, us included, dropping down from PG to BC and saving money.
  6. It is on the website as "sold out". If you go in filters and click sold out cruises it comes up. You might find some TAs have purchased a block of staterooms and still have availability but as far as P&O are concerned it is sold out.
  7. Last time I was asked that at the barbers I said "why do you sell headache tablets for the wife". 😄
  8. As well as the hair care product hard sell at the end of your haircut did they ask if "Sir wanted anything for the weekend" 😉
  9. I was once told during a medical for work that my blood pressure was low which can be as serious as high and was told not to move fast so been trying to keep them to there word for last 20years. Bit difficult though when you worked in an emergency service 😁.
  10. Wife had her e-mail from NHS to book booster even though she is not 65 and I have received nothing even though we are virtually same age only a couple of months difference. We have had all covid injections/boosters at the same time so tried to book wife online as per e-mail and it says cannot as not 65. So this morning rang 119 and was told not available under 65 unless you meet certain criteria, so I asked why she has received e-mail and was told it was just a reminder for when it is available for under 65s so I asked well why havent I received one to remind me even though e-mail says you can book and she went silent. So totally confusing and don't think the lady on 119 really knew.
  11. Interesting that is virtually the same as Princess Grill so are they going to upgrade the Princess Grill Experience and then the Queens Grill. The only difference in what is stated above for new experience in BC compared to PG is a slightly bigger stateroom, dedicated lounge and private deck area. For what you would save unless they upgrade PG it wont be worth booking and book BC instead and save money.
  12. No curry sauce or gravy for me on haddock, don't like cod, if not just fish and chips I am happy with mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon.
  13. Just had a response from executive office who I contacted recently by e-mail. They have confirmed that UK cruiser's onboard any Cunard ship cannot purchase FCDs which I ready knew. They never answered or even mentioned the direct question I asked why they are still available for US/Canadian cruiser's to purchase. With reference to those that think you get a better response by e-mailing Executive Office they are wrong because they pass queries to same department who answer DMs on Cunard's Facebook page.
  14. I asked the exactly same question with my correspondence to Executive office of Carnival UK and you will be surprised that they never gave me an answer. In fact they completely ignored me after they initially denied FCD's were being sold to US cruisers but refused to UK cruisers and I sent them proof of a FCD purchased on QM2 when I had been refused.
  15. We are not talking about compensation but as part of your cruise fare P&O charge port fees/taxes to pay port authority when you dock. If you don't dock you should be given that fees back but they don't they keep it and rip the cruiser's off.
  16. True but you still pay them in your cruise fare and if P&O don't pay port authority they should reimburse you but never do and keep it as pure profit. Port fees/taxes for a ship full of cruiser's is many thousands of pounds which P&O keep for doing nothing.
  17. It is not about missed ports it is about the port fees/taxes that you pay as part of your cruise fare. This is charge of the port authorities for docking there. If you don't dock then P&O do not have to pay the taxes/fees to the port authority so as they have already charged you they should reimburse you but they never do. It is very naughty of P&O to keep the charge as pure profit. Whenever I have missed a port of call on Princess they reimburse port fees/taxes within 24 hrs to your onboard account.

    2024

I would very surprised if that date is correct as it is a Saturday and cannot imagine releasing 2024 cruises for sale on a weekend day.
  19. Can anyone tell me if FCD's are still being sold to US cruiser's onboard ships but not to UK cruiser's.
  20. Our cruise in June was our 500-night cruise with Princess. Flowers, chocolates, certificate and proper bottle of champagne which was all very nice. Unfortunately, it very soon went downhill from then on and we enquired about getting off the ship 7-8 days it was that bad for us.
  21. CPS or P4C for us. Dont like the idea of leaving my car in a hotel car park open to the public and with very little security or none at all.
  22. Perhaps so but still not very hygienic and totally unnecessary to remove items from chiller cabinet and handle them and then replace them because you dont want them. The early days of Britannia they stopped stocking it so early because on port days the cabinet was empty within minutes because people were grabbing items to take off the ship for lunch.
  23. Try contacting sture.myrmell@carnivalukgroup.com he is President of Carnival UK which covers both P&O and Cunard and is higher than Paul Ludlow.
  24. Easy if its anything like on Britannia where people take items out of the cabinet and look at them and maul them and put them back. Yes, they are wrapped but still a chance of infection from people mauling the food and then putting them back.
  25. Good for you we had some serious issues on our cruise on Emerald Princess in June and we reported them to Pursers Desk onboard and even asked for a Complaints Form at the end of cruise and was told they dont do Complaints Forms and he gave me a blank piece of paper and an envelope. We filled in the post cruise questionnaire sent to us by e-mail when we got home and have heard nothing since. Perhaps they dont read them all just token ones and you were one of the lucky to have been read. Having said all that whatever they offered me whether it would be an offer of onboard credit or cruise discount we wouldnt take them up on the offer as it was that bad it will be a long time, if at all, before we cruise with Princess again.
