  1. Hi girls, last day on the ship. I have had a really good time sans 1 person who was really rude to me. But that was much earlier in the cruise and I have not interacted with him since that time. Sometimes people are just mean. Anyway, I am all packed with the exception of dinner tonight and clothes for tomorrow. I get home about 3 tomorrow afternoon so will check in again after that time.
  2. Hi, well I know this season has been the year of the comeback(see The Jags and especially the Vikings). I mentioned playing the Chiefs in the next round but won't actually know that for sure until after today's games are finished. As for the Eagles? Did you see the 49rs yesterday?
  3. Yes, in the first 1/2 we sucked.....4 pics, yikes. But we came back and won the game!!!!
  4. Yes, I watched the whole game. OMG, we looked so bad in the first 1/2 but we came out in the 2nd 1/2 and looked like a real team😀 we have come from behind multiple times this year but I was not so sure this time We really won the game😀 I watched the first half in the Lounge and came back to my cabin to watch the rest of it. WE WON😀 But we go to Kansas City next week so this was probably our last win. I am very proud of them though. Doug Pederson has really made all the difference and it feels good to have a professional coach. The guys love him and respect him that is for sure. We actually won the game!!!!!!
  5. Thanks for the reply. I sailed Spirit in 2021 out of Lisbon and had a fabulous cruise😀 Ironically, Idochine does nothing for me. Different strokes😀
  6. Hi Doug, just found out that Kartik will be on the crossing and Paolo says hello to you😀
  7. This is very interesting reading as I am on The Dawn now and booked on Spirit for April. Spirit was my 1st SS cruise in 2017 and this is now my 11th. I know food is a hot topic and not sure why it varies so much from ship to ship. I have had pizza twice on my cruise and found it excellent.....wonderful crust. May not be what others enjoy but I know food is also subjective. I have had 2 steaks this cruise and found both cooked to my liking and both quite flavorful and tender. Does Dawn get a better cut than Spirit? I don't know. Anyway, sorry to read the op is not happy with the food part of their cruise.
  8. Thanks Terry, Doug Pederson is an awesome coach😀
  9. No wonder there a lot of little kids on board, I found out there is a LARGE family of 52 on here.....they must have brought everyone. Including 3 nannies. Oh someone asked about the internet. Starlink is supposed to be on here in May. Still need to find out about the maple syrup. I keep forgetting to ask.
  10. Hi, sounds like your Brooks are your most comfortable for the walking. And for evenings, if the sandals work for the shorter period of time? I would wear them with that attire, but I do agree with all the gals about comfort. Comfort is the key😀
  11. Good morning girls, Cynthia yes, having a very enjoyable time😀 Today and tomorrow are the final 2 days, both at sea and we dock in Ft Lauderdale Monday morning. I did put deposits down on multiple sailings yesterday😃 and the next one is in April and will be visiting Istanbul for the very first time! Sailing out of Athens for 10 nights. Have met some very nice folks on this cruise which is always a good thing😀 Hope all of you are doing well.
  12. I have been cruising solo for 20 years an I love it😀😃😃 I am on a cruiseship as I type this reply and it is for 11 nights. I haven't been on a 7 night cruise in.....well I don't remember. The joys of retirement, longer sailings! Go on your cruise and just enjoy it all🙂
  13. Good morning, they do have at option but after much research I have booked multiple future cruises😀. Next one up is in April out of Athens with an overnight stop in Istanbul, where I have yet to visit so am really looking forwad to it😀 Anyway, today and tomorrow are the final 2 sea days. Last night had dinner in Atlantide. Had the lamb chops 2 cooked properly, one was overdone but enjoyed my meal none the less. Today is Saturday and the start of the NFL playoffs. My Jaguars host the Chargers and they are showing the game in the Venetian Lounge. The regular show is in Panorama and is a late start, 10:00. GO JAGS!!!!!
  14. Hello from St Thomas. We are only here till 1:00 and then sail for the weekend arriving back in Ft. Lauderdale on Monday morning. Had dinner last night with 5 folks I have become friendly with, 2 from England 3 from Canada. We went to LaTerrazza and I had the veal chop and it was excellent😀 I went to see the Future Cruise Consultant and discussed quite a few different itineraries with her and now I need to decide which ones to actually book. They have a long list of lower Single Supplement cruises so I have several to think about. Decisions, decisions.
  15. I agree but I have not found any venues being "taken over".
  16. A few items come to thought..... Demographics of this cruise is quite different than I ever recall. Yes, there are the older group....at 64 I feel very young lol. But I have to tell you there are more families on board with small children than I can ever recall. Seems to be quite the multi generational cruise. The kids are well behaved but there are a lot more than what I ever remember on a SS cruise. And there is a group of about 60 on board that are part of a "Toronto Film Festival". For those of you who know the actor Elliot Gould, he is on board being honored by this group. I haven't found that amount of folks impacting my sailing in a negative way, thankfully. Just wanted to put that out there while the thoughts were there. Doug burns, I saw your question about head of housekeeping. I will ask for you and post the answer.
  17. Hey Randy, I know you board Dawn as I disembark her.......I love everything about this ship and hope you will too. I am booked on Nova later this year and yes, she is bigger but I think she will be amazing......(just my opinion). I prefer all the larger ones to Wind, Whisper, etc. Nice to have choices😀
  18. Good morning from Antigua. Sun is shining and it is lovely sitting outside The Arts Cafe which is located on deck 8 (just as a point of information). Last night there was music trivia in The Panoroma Lounge and my team came in 2nd. It was a lot of fun and the lounge filled up! Many folks participated. I haven't gone to any shows but glad I joined in on this activity😀
  19. Thought I posted the reply......there is always a steak and fish on the Salt menu and you can have them prepared as you like. Example, my steak was grilled like a normal steak and had fresh veggies on the side. The menu does have the Carribean flair/theme but I didn't see anything that called out my name so I chose a steak. Call me crazy😀
  20. Hello from Dominica😀 went on 90 minute trolley ride around the island this afternoon. Good tour guide and and I had an enjoyable experience. Last night was dinner in Salt and chose a steak and it was very good.It was cooked to my liking and quite tender. It was a sirloin. Tonight is LaTerrazza and tomorrow we are in Antigua.
  21. We were in St Kitts today and are now getting ready to sail away. Next stop is Domonica and I am actually taking a short tour. Last night they had a big screen set up in the Venetian Lounge and a few folks watched Georgia demolish TCU. Anyway, still enjoying everything😀
  22. Good morning, it was not awful if you are Bulldawg but I get your point. TCU was no match for Georgia and got steamrolled from the start. Yes, it was 65-7. Nobody was expecting that kind of beat down. Anyway, we are in St Kitts today.
