  1. Good morning......welcome back Melody and Weldon (I don't know your first name). Glad you had a good cruise🙂. I sail again on Jan 5th........flying to Ft. Lauderdale on the 4th.
  2. I did receive it......every time I tried to answer the questions, I got a "please answer the question"🙄.....it kept rejecting my responses........oh well.
  3. Hi Cynthia, yes, I have cruised with them once.....back in Oct 2019. I keep saying I want to book another one with them but haven't gotten around to it. Yes, I had a wonderful time and would recommend them🙂
  4. Good morning, it looked like a full seafood market to me.......and all the fresh fish looked fabulous😃
  5. Oh yes, here in the south, MANY sandwiches come with an order of French Fries!
  6. And many do......we are going round and round here......I can tell my life experience of 64 years. We celebrated holidays when I was a kid but never "kept kosher"............that is what not eating dairy and meat comes down to....... We have gotten way off topic........this thread is about sandwiches😃
  7. You mean Orthodox. There are plenty of Jewish people who do eat them together.........Traditions are a big part of Judaism but there are plenty of us who eat meat and dairy together.
  8. Hi CGT, that is how mom always cooked it......must be because that is our background🙂
  9. Hi JP, I saw that as well. Speaking of food shows, I was watching food network and Mysty, I thought of you. Diners, Drive Ins and Dives had a segment in Ottowa at a place called The Pelican Seafood Market. The assortment of items looked delicious😀
  10. Glad you had such a good time🙂. Do you recall which terminal she docked in upon your arrival? 19? 21? 25? Or something other than those?
  11. There are different styles of brisket. We have tons of BBQ places and they smoke the brisket. When I was a kid my mom made it like a roast in the oven.
  12. Hi, I guess it is good that the necklace goes well with everything you wear🙂. I bring multiple pendants and at least 2 necklaces......sometimes more. One is a neck wire and the other a longer chain. The tops I wear for evening attire have different necklines. Some necklaces don't go well with some necklines (in my opinion)......it is the only time I enjoy matching as I never get dressed up to go out here at home.
  13. If I may, Florida is a BIG state.............I am in the most northern part which is over 400 miles from "the Keys"........we do get a winter up here. Normally Jan and Feb are our "cold months". Now, cold to one person may not be cold to someone else. I have lived here since 1965 so I have seen one of the coldest winters on record.....way back in 1989......that was UNUSUAL......it snowed. But that is NOT normal. Once you get to the center of the state (Orlando for example), and south? It is like we are in 2 different states. I don't know when you were here that you needed wool, but it that is not normal, especially, for South Florida. Now, as for what type of "winter attire" people own? I can only tell you I have several jackets but they are not puffer.........I have a fleece type from "Columbia"........if it gets so cold, I put on long sleeves and that jacket. I own a jean jacket......I own several sweaters as well. Some heavier, some not so much. Folks in South Florida? One of my closest friends is in Miami........below 65 she gets a chill, but she doesn't own what someone from the Northeast or Midwest would wear.. Didn't mean to go on so much but just wanted give a bit of insight to how big our state is and you must have been here on a rare occasion of "REALLY COLD".
  14. Hi Spins, glad you and Mr had a good cruise and thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to sailing her next month😃
  15. Good morning, bringing this thread back up........CGT....especially😀. Well, I found some local rye that I am VERY HAPPY about...........not sure if some of you have a "FRESH MARKET" in your region or not but I really like that store. Publix is my "usual" place to shop but Fresh Market is more specialized and I was there recently and they have a variety of bread choices and their rye? It is REALLY GOOD........the texture is excellent and it toasts beautifully. The store is about 20 minutes from where I live, which is A LOT closer than having to buy it from out of state!
  16. Yep, I can think of a couple of phrases that would pertain to those folks and one would be "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID"😮
  17. To be truthful, I would tell you to check the weather on line starting about 2 weeks before your cruise. I live in North Florida and don't own a puffer jacket either. But honestly, I would tell you to check things yourself and don't depend on this site (as good as it can be). But for weather, go to weather.com and keep track that way.
  18. I guess after 20+ years of cruising I must not know much LOL....(sarcasm inserted)......but who said nobody likes to eat at the Specialty Restaurants on night one? I have seen people in them before and although I don't do it on a regular basis, I have eaten specialty on night 1 before.
