Me again, I decided to call them back to see if there was possibly an error....well, now AQ is sold out BUT get this......they actually have a suite for LESS than what that erroneous amount on the other cabin........😮

The weirdest thing about it......checking on multiple cruises (I am looking for something in the spring)......some of the solo prices are ok for me but charging that much extra? Not sure if I should cut off my nose to spite my face or not......in other words, X has some (Operative word) some decent prices but they are very selective.

Hi Beav, I think we chatted many years ago on the X forum. I don't use any Social Media (other than here) so not posting anything on whatever you are referring to..........I might try a Princess Cruise. Found some of their prices for a solo quite good.

I called Celebrity today and here is the outcome......I didn't book........ Well, I was looking to book a cruise to Bermuda on X....here is the story. I called them directly because It would not let me book the cabin as a single.....it was an AQ on Eclipse and when you put 2 in there, it came up as a gty with an excellent price......so I called X and the gal said they have to get an approval to sell the cabin as a solo and she would have to get me a price......... OMG.........a cabin for 2 was only 1099.00 per person but they wanted to charge me 5500.00! So that is like 500%.........how insane is that! 😠

I agree. I don't remember any bars ever having beers on tap.

Lunch? I just made a ham and cheese omlette with 2 pieces of dark 8 grain bread, toasted. I love a good omlette🙂

I have sailed to Alaska 5 times over the years. Layering is my suggestion. It might be very cold or it may be just mild outside. I would check the weather about a week before you leave and that will give you a better idea of what you need to bring. Hope you have a great cruise😀

Thanks and your post was very good. I was a Celebrity cruiser for 15 years before I found SS. I normally always have a good time. It is just a bit strange looking at the big ships after all the cruises on smaller ones. And, no not presumptuous at all.

Last year I took 4 cruises........the most recent one was Nov on a TA crossing. So now we are almost in March and I am trying to find a spring cruise but haven't booked anything yet. I keep going back and forth on some options but nothing that says.....BUY ME..........and I am getting really annoyed LOL.......I am ready to get back on a ship! I even looked at a land tour with Tauck but cruising is so much easier......unpack once! I volunteer 2 days a week at the hospital.......I work at the front information desk.

There is a video out of Taylor giving her hat to a young girl who has brain cancer.........(during one of her shows in Sydney)......pretty cool. DW, you were on the Edge on your cruise, right? And Que, ya'll were on NCL recently, right? I am actually trying to find a cruise for the spring but I have loved the small ships of SS so much I am hesitant of going back to the big ones......I think Silversea has spoiled me but I found a nice cruise on Celebrity to Bermuda and Martha's Vineyard. I keep thinking......do I book? Or no? Do I book? The ship is The Eclipse and I sailed her many years ago. SS not nothing for me on their itineraries right now😮

There was also comedian on the NOVA on the TA crossing in November. She was very good (in my opinion) she had stories many of us could relate too and I laughed A LOT.😀

I have never sailed Seabourn before but was looking at them. I want to take a spring cruise but SS is not offering anything that I want right now......☹️..........I actually was looking at Oceania and Regent too but I just haven't pulled up the anchor. After sailing with SS for the last 7 years, I almost feel like I am cheating on them LOL...............I was even looking at a cruise to Bermuda on Celebrity but I am having a very hard time deciding if I want to go back on a big ship😧And having a Butler is not part of my decision making.

I had to go for lab work yesterday and am able to see the results already. My A1C is REALLY GOOD.......5.7!!!! And the the Glucose number is really good too.....only 86. I think this new Diabetes Medicine must be affecting me....(in a good way). And my most important number is the Creatine (Kidney) and that is the best it has been in 3 months so I know that Dr is going to be happy😀

I was continuing to look at Celebrity and found a 10 night cruise on Silhouette too........and in this case they are actually offering a big Sr Discount. I have to say, after sailing the last 7 years on small ships, I am just hesitating on going back to the big ones.....I think I have gotten spoiled😧

Good morning, I did try to call a TA about it.......it is one of the agencies that shows up when you click on the "Find a Cruise" link.........there are companies that show up when researching. They told me there was nothing available for a solo guest on that sailing. I did not call the cruise line about it.
