  1. Geeeee........... it was in the title!?!?!? Oh, man.............. I was NOT asking you. I wanted the OP to explain THEIR itinerary and number of days. Thank you for your time.
  2. I doubt that the area will be closed at night. When under a pool, people often can be annoyed with scraping pool chairs. However, we have not been on this ship but enjoy hanging out on the Lido deck of the Regal in the Horizon Court area (outdoors).
  3. I assume that you are answering for the OP, @wallyj?
  4. We were in L103 on the Regal. The slider was NEVER !ocked. We were free to use our balcony as we wanted. However, drapes needed to be pulled each night so lights do not interfere with the Bridge. T The balcony is huge. But if you want to chill on the balcony, beware that you can not see the scenery due to the railing being solid and not clear. (Sitting position)
  5. As I have mentioned with @Triptkr on a different thread, the cigarette smoke does permeate and float up to the Baja deck and is basically 24/7. Agreed, WTH is Princess thinking?!?!?! Aft balconies is where we always try to book. This is ridicu!ous!
  6. Are you doing a B2B? We will be on the Grand in September. Please keep us posted regarding any quarantine issues. What is your opinion of the ship? Have a great cruise!
  7. They are: https://ihealthlabs.com/products/ihealth-verified-covid-test-service There have been dozens of posts on CC. The free tests from the government can be proctored through iHealthlabs.
  8. We had a deluxe balcony on the Regal; L103. These also have the loveseats and proper balcony furniture at non- suite prices.
  9. Sorry, it did not carryover very well. But I think you can click on author and get there.
  10. There is a good thread posted here on this Alaska forum; as follows: Favorite restaurants and Alaska Native art stores By dcbiker97, June 12 in Alaska
  11. See above comments in bold blue. We have been 4 times and will be on a 12 night this September with new glaciers and ports for us; doing laundry halfway through.
  12. @voljeep I am glad you are ok and received great medical care!
  13. I am so sorry. Maybe if you complain? Many have to no avail.
  14. Sorry about that! We were on the corner on the Baja deck. We thought that would be "safe" as it was four decks up from the Promenade deck. There was cigarette smoke most of the time. Yuck!
  15. Here is the link: https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/vaccine-testing-requirements/

  17. We were on the Emerald in May for the British Isles. The outside boasts a pretty rusty hull and very unpleasant to see. The inside appeared fairly well maintained. The cabins are showing wear and tear on the lamps (very scratched up) and the walls as well. Our balcony was in need of cleaning and maintenance but we loved our balcony anyway. The only negative were the smokers from the promenade smoking area which is a new thing post covid and very upsetting when you book a corner aft balcony! The smoke floats everywhere! Our sailing was at 2/3 capacity for both passengers and crew.
  18. 1. Thank you. You described it with the words that were on the tip of my tongue. 2. Alas, so much for stereotyping.
  19. I really appreciate the comments regarding this cruise line. The sharing of the photos is also helpful. Call me "old fashioned", but modern, sleek and "op art" styles really turn us off. I suppose that this is why there are many options of cruise lines. I think we will find it challenging to find a "replacement" cruise line if we do not return to Princess after checking out the Grand this September. HAL- a bit boring for us Celebrity- snooty and poor quality in dining (yes, true experiences) We do not care to have or care for water parks and slides in our backyard. HOWEVER, our neighbors (in their late 70's) recently went on the Carnival Panorama and had a great time with their kids. Food was good, etc. I suppose Viking Ocean an Oceana are possibilities, albeit coming with a higher price tag. I also have noted that Viking Ocean likes to stay in one port overnight.
  20. Our October 2018 on the Celebrity Reflection- not impressed AT ALL! We have resolved to not return.
  21. Please also know that those who are quarantined may smoke on their balconies, thus downgrading the balcony experience and open slider for others.
  22. Also, if you have a beverage package, you can get bottled water anytime. We usually pick one up at the IC before leaving for a tour.
