  1. @ChimneyTenders Thank you for your posting. We were on the Crown (Alaska) in September of 2018 and really enjoyed that ship! It reminded us of the Golden which has been sold. Have a fabulous time!
  2. @CineGraphic- Thanks for doing this and posting. I guess someone has to do it. 😁
  3. I am saddened, as we have enjoyed so many cruises with Princess. We were not thrilled with the Emerald this past May, however, it was a bit difficult to separate what may have been caused by Covid/ post Covid. Most crew were like the Princess we remembered (cabin steward was great), but there felt like there was a "disturbance in the Force"... grumpy and short tempered staff in public areas like the buffet, etc. Quite some time ago, we booked a 2023 Transpacific on the Grand. We decided to keep our September 12 night Alaska cruise on the Grand to see if we really want to spend and pay for that much time on this ship. It will be a good comparison, I hope.
  4. We were in L103 on the Regal in 2018. Our next door neighbor had a hammock hanging on his balcony. Most of you are aware how large those balconies are and I thought, what a great idea!!!
  5. The WiFi was very good for our May 9-21 cruise.
  6. All I know about is what the Princess website told us when we cruised in May. They had an example on their website. It did not go by hours.I do not know what cruise you are on and am therefore unable to check the Princess website, as the instructions differ for the ports.
  7. @stevenr597 With all of the time differences, who knows what will work.
  8. That will NOT work. As you may have read above, the earliest you can test will be July 7th.

    Packing

This is what I have concluded based on many comments from the Cruise Air Forum. This has to do with more than lost luggage in reference to Air Canada. True, lost luggage is world wide.

    Inside Passage

The Grand Princess departs from Vancouver, BC and visits Glacier Bay, Endicott Arm/ Dawes Glacier, Sitka, Icy Strait, Prince Rupeet, Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau. Other parts September 14th. We have cruised Alaska 4 times and are doing this itinerary because it departs from Vancouver and has 3 new ports and a glacier for us.

    Packing

Lesson learned. We will never book Air Canada. Too many negative reports.
  12. Princess also goes to Sitka. It is not common, but we are in the Grand Princess I September for a 12 night itinerary and Sitka is one of the ports.
  13. Juneau- whale watching on a smaller ship- not on the one from the cruise line!
  14. Told ya! See my post #31! Zinc is in our arsenal and a few others!
  15. Heck, Fauci was vaccinated twice and boosted twice. He is just now getting over covid again with a relapse. He most likely does not believe in taking supplements. We do and believe it really helps our immune system. And yes, we have been boosted. People on our cruise did get it and we were close to them without masks. Gotta drink and eat, right?
  16. In the "olden days", married couples had the same number with an A or B after it. I am A and DH is B.
  17. Count your lucky stars! The Regal is lovely.
  18. I believe you are very correct about the wine. It appears hard liquor and mixed drinks are the same.
  19. Princess and the airlines prefer your hard copies. That was our experience in May.
  20. Sabatini's was never open for our May 9-21 st on the Emerald.
  21. We use our cell phones at home. We find other lights to be annoying.
  22. We have sailed in July, late August and twice in September. The first time in late August, we saw Hubbard Glacier and it was glorious! We also saw the Northern Lights on August 28th! Both September trips had great and not so great weather. The first time, we sailed from Vancouver, BC. I suggest looking at the itinerary in detail.Look at the times for each port You will have a better chance to a really make your way down to the glaciers the later you go. The Captain was able to get us all of the way down Tracy Arm Fjord in September, but not in July.
