  1. OP- As @skynight has suggested; these are really the two main hotels where people stay and it is in San Pedro, not LA proper. As @Tedferg has suggested, it would be helpful to fly into Long Beach as the transfer from the airport to the hotel is shorter.
  2. We took our BinaxNow tests with us to London. We tested in our hotel room 3 days ahead of boarding. We used our IPhone and the WiFi at the hotel was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. We e-mailed the results to our e-mail and the front desk printed out our results for us. This was NOT a mega hotel chain. There was no computer in the lobby. The staff were amazing. We had a back-up plan for a local pharmacy if this fell through.
  3. We have done so twice. Once in May and once for upcoming September cruise. I went online to book an excursion and it was automatic to use OBC.
  4. Not knowing when you cruise in September, you may be able to change your flights to at least arrive one day ahead. When we flew last May, things were crazy then with delayed flights, etc. I think the majority of cruisers (us included), make it a practice to arrive at least one day or more before boarding the ship.
  5. No problem. Your information was very informative.
  6. All I did was answer the question of the OP.
  7. We were in a corner aft balcony (Baja deck) on the Emerald this past May. Cigarette smoke comes from everywhere; above and from the Promenade deck. This has been an issue since covid and most are NOT happy with Princess about this.
  8. it is completely covered. I looked up "images" online.

    Alaska

I would do some research on itineraries and decide what you priorities are. The Alaska board is full of information.
  10. You may have more responses if this is posted on the Celebrity board.
  11. Check out other cruise lines and the itineraries. Also, consider something loner than a 7 night cruise. We will be on the Grand Princess in September for a 12 night itinerary and it will take us to 3 "new to us" ports and 2 new glaciers. It is RT from Vancouver, BC. It also includes a 14 hour port time in Victoria, BC which is fairly rare. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so contemplate what you really want to see and do.
  12. We saw resident Orcas when on a whale watching shore excursion in Juneau.
  13. Call your TA or Celebrity. Then you will know.
  14. Just assume that it is so. After reading many threads of different ships and aft balconies, this seems to be the case. I really do not know what it would take to get the point across to Princess.
  15. I have done so each time (grouponboardservices@princesscruises.com) and it has worked very well.
  16. If you both have not et both joined your Roll Call, then maybe you would "run into" each other.
  17. Funny... My contact has been Allison- both times.
  18. Thank you. Well said! When we were in our corner aft (regular cabin) on the Emerald in May, it was very disappointing to walk onto our balcony and smell the cigarette smoke. You are absolutely correct that this was NEVER an issue pre-covid.
  19. Correct as stated. I have had very good experiences doing just that (arranging two Meet & Greets).
  20. On occasion, it has been in the past.

Are you cruising a different fjord on your itinerary?
  22. As I understand it, you would need to set up ArriveCAN even if you do not drive into Canada; due to the requirement of docking in a Canadian port anyway before returning home.
  23. I do know that NCL owns it. Last time I checked, it seemed pretty expensive, but I think it is free for NCL cruisers.
