  1. Is it business class that entitles you to the lounge? Domestic flights do not get access to the lounges anymore. it's for international flights. Check to be sure so you won't be disappointed.
  2. I use gift cards I buy with a 10% discount so it makes sense nobody would refund the face value since you didn't pay face value. I had a cruise booked and cancelled during covid and had used a dozen cards. Princess combined them into one gift card for me. In May when I sailed I brought a gift card to guest services and they applied it to my OBC. I had no left over so it wasn't an issue getting the card reloaded with the balance.
  3. "Any Refundable OBC not used by end of voyage is refunded via a check sent in the mail some time following end of voyage. If the amount is small - around $25 - the guest can obtain a cash refund at Guest Services." This is not true if the refundable credit was from a gift card. The gift card is reloaded with remaining balance. If you lost or tossed the gift card they will issue you a new gift card.
  4. Look at the menu online so you can decide for yourself if it's to your liking. It's just a specialty restaurant with an up charge.
  5. I dislike Lavazza coffee so I hope there are other options. I drink a lot of coffee, plain Yuban is my speed.
  6. Yes it will be refundable back to original payment method which was a gift card.
  7. Because it's waitlisted and in order to be waitlisted it required a deposit
  8. Here's the scenario I'm working on to help a friend. They are waitlist with Princess because the big box travel agency doesn't do waitlists. A deposit was placed and a waitlisted booking number was created. Can this be transferred to the TA after it clears the wait list or is the clock ticking from today when they started the waitlist?
  9. " What we take as normal they were amazed with the Int'l cafe and choices and 'Really its free?".. "YES" (we all had the beverage package). " No it's NOT free , you paid for it since you had the beverage package. The other foods were not free they were included in your cruise fare. It seems a common mistake that people ( not just the OP ) state something was free when in reality it is baked into your fare.
  10. You proved a great point. Tipping the porters did not get your luggage to you any faster and didn't mean any care was even taken to keep your tags intact. You pay too much attention to others around you and ignored what was positive,
  11. How Kosher are you? If strict how can you eat off of a plate that probably at some point had shrimp or pork on it? Will you need paper plates and plastic silverware?
  12. Does anyone know if they also do bidding on cruise tours?
  13. Are you past final payment? If you are you cannot get a price adjustment so getting an upgrade was the next best thing.
  14. Disagree entirely. I will never carry a phone with me on a ship. I disengage from every day stress and relax on a cruise. I have sailed 4 times since the Pandemic ended with Princess and never needed a phone at all. You can order room service via the phone in your cabin or on the TV or place the breakfast card menu on your door the night before.
  15. Of course not, it's all dependent on drinking
  16. I just booked a really good deal for a California coastal next year on a resident of California special.
  17. I got a response that my cruise was indeed eligible but it was for "new bookings only"
  18. It was an interesting experience ONCE. I enjoyed it although I don't eat much of what was served. I personally wouldn't pay for it. It is impossible to know when and if it will become a paid venue and at what cost.
  19. It sounds like perhaps the bonus gift cards you get through Princess on Holidays like Mothers day would be non refundable NOT the cards you paid for. Those bonus cards also have expiration dates which paid for cards do not.
  20. It clearly states new bookings only in the post #7 right above the words A BIG in the picture
  21. It's all about the price and value. I have a cruise booked for next year and the Reserve Class is $100 PP PD. Poor value. I think I'll go to specialty dining a few times and save a bundle when I back down to a regular Mini.
  22. I cruised Alaska last month out of Vancouver. We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel which is on the Canada Place pier. I flew in so didn't park a car but they do have parking available in some packages designed specifically for cruisers. You will not need transportation to the ship since you're steps away from the embarkation area which is a savings. Also they will take your luggage to the ship on the morning of embarkation. It's super convenient but slightly expensive to stay there. Remember when you see their prices in Canadian dollars that our dollar is stronger and the exchange rate is significant in our favor.
  23. I can't speak to your port but here in Los Angeles my full size suitcase fits through the scanner so I take all my luggage on board with me. My guess is all scanners are similar in size. I would suggest you take it with you and if for any reason it doesn't fit they will take it from you to bring on board so you have nothing to loose by trying.
  24. The white satin sleep bag in suites is no longer available. The blue tote bags are gone. The gold up graded bathroom amenities are gone. Q-Tips are gone. Pad of paper and pen gone. Pillow chocolates gone.
  25. It looks better then it tastes. The shrimp and scallops look under cooked and the meat looks dry and tough. The desserts are beautiful.
