  1. Kilmainham Gaol ! https://kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie/
  2. Hope you are enjoying the Northern Isles? We are doing this in August on Rotterdam. This morning I read with alarm your post about Passport control at Inverness 😱 We are not morning people and the thought of getting up early to suit 'Officialdom' really rubs me the wrong way 😉. So, do you know how late the Passport inspection was available? We have a 12 noon tour and I really, really am not going to present myself at 7.30 or some ridiculous hour just to go ashore there. TIA
  3. It is taking the uphill route 😁
  4. There are two types of OBC - Refundable and Non Refundable. When you are onboard, you can check the split of OBC by using the Navigator App or the stateroom TV. It will show how much Refundable OBC and Non Refundable OBC you have. You can withdraw Refundable.
  5. From what I have read, Verifly is no advantage to use for European embarkations. Certainly in Italy they wanted the paper version of everything.
  6. The 9 months (actually 270 days) comes, I believe, from the EU, which stated that the C19 Vax certificates were only valid for 270 days after the final dose of a primary course of vaccination. In Europe, for a Vax cert to be valid, you need a booster, if the original course was completed more than 270 days ago.
  7. Most streaming sites are blocked on the HIA Surf package. I could not access our local radio station app nor could I access Spotify.
  8. My bad! I just cancelled that card on the checkin and did it again. This time I did see the hold for $840 per person. I knew it had been there in June for our Oosterdam cruise so was a bit surprised when I saw the $1. It really is quite badly laid out. No wonder we see those posts from cruisers who are surprised when their cards are hit for the hold. It could be quite disconcerting to see the hold if you had only expected a $1 hold.
  9. Just doing the check in for our August Rotterdam cruise and noticed that the pre authorisation has changed. It was $60 per day per person but now it appears to be $1. Anyone hear anything about this? Probably because of the widespread use of Have It All.
  10. Did you book directly with HAL? Or with a travel agency? If you booked with a travel agency it may take them a day or two longer to contact you. Did you check your spam email folder? Post #28 is the definitive answer, so you do not need a test.👍
  11. Friends of ours went on one a couple of years ago. They said it was 7 days of total party, but very well organised and great entertainment (if you like Irish music). We were on a BHB just after one of the Irish charters and the shops staff kept asking us if we had missed disembarking from partying too much 🤐 🤣 They certainly don't hold back on the level of performer, Nathan Carter and Daniel O'Donnell are both huge in Ireland and with Irish audiences. https://www.gertrudebyrnepromotions.com/
  12. Just as a final note, overnight (night of June 30th) our Mariner accounts updated. Only 5 days after disembarking! For a 12 day cruise we received 12 credits. For a paid upgrade (at a reduced price) from Veranda to Signature Suite we receive 0 credits. (as expected). For onboard spending (we had Have It All) we received 12 credits
  13. We did not use the transfer from VCE to Trieste, but used the return transfer Trieste to VCE. At VCE we did see agents for HAL directing pax to the Coach park, which is very close to the terminal building. I understand that the transfers were timed at 9am and 11 am, but when we arrived it was 10 am and there were HAL cruisers waiting on their transfer. I presume that they were using the buses which had travelled from Trieste for the journey from VCE to Trieste (and similarly for the buses that went from Trieste to Tronchetto). When we disembarked it was a Saturday and VCE was crazy. There were 2 MSC ships doing turnarounds and the airport was full of MSC cruisers. So, if I was in your position, and continue to hear nothing from HAL, then I would aim to be at VCE (Marco Polo) prior to 9am and get to the Coach park. (there are shelters there and I noticed that the agents had bottles of water and cartons which appeared to be some sort of light lunch).
  14. Sorted. Got through to an agent and processed the transaction in only 25 minutes. 😁
  15. Trying to make final payment for a cruise and am getting a message : Anyone else having a problem? I am holding on phone, but not expecting a response. Final Payment is due today!
  16. So far then it is restricted to sailings to Norway only from Amsterdam. Let's hope that more cruisers post with their good news!
  17. Please note that at this time, the removal of testing requirements only applies to select voyages, so our full FAQ has not been updated. For this cruise, please disregard the testing requirements listed there. Hoping it is for all ex Amsterdam cruises as we have one end of August! 🤞
  18. Just reread the whole email and they are for selected cruises only. Wonder what the selection parameters are?? Please note that at this time, the removal of testing requirements only applies to select voyages, so our full FAQ has not been updated. For this cruise, please disregard the testing requirements listed there.
  19. Thats around the level we had on June 13-25. Made for a very uncrowded ship.
  20. He only does the driving! Probably need to ask someone in Itinerary Planning dept in Seattle about the change.
  21. Although the website FAQ is showing being updated on June 30th (today!) it still does not reflect this change.
  22. only buy it for one, as it is per cabin, not per person
  23. Yes, if you sign into your HAL account and go to the booking, then select Cruise Activities > Packages & Gifts > Packages > Packages > scroll down to Unlimited Laundry Package.
