I was not aware that the medical team did room calls, I always thought that it was necessary to go to the medical centre, having previously made an appointment. FCC is what is normally offered for 'quarantine days'. Perhaps travel is not a good option for some folks now.

Good morning and welcome to the August 2022 edition of Dry Docks, Charters and Groups. The Dry Dock situation continues to be a puzzle. Volendam and Zaandam were in Cadiz for longer than 3 weeks. There does not appear to be a gap in Nieuw Amsterdam's schedule during 2022/2023 for her overdue dry dock and Nieuw Statendam is getting close to dry dock time. On the Charters front, there continues to be gaps in sailing schedules, but I cannot find any information on what is happening to the ships during those gaps. I would expect a substantial increase in Group bookings over the coming months as the Groups find their appetite for cruising and HAL enjoys the benefits of a block booking and probably substantial deposits. Please note that the sailings listed are taken from various sources so it is possible that the itinerary does not coincide with the currently published HAL itinerary. Hi Ine, Can you confirm that all these companies are legit? I priced a transfer from AMS to our hotel in Rotterdam and TCA is quoting €177, while it is €159 with Taxi Direct and only €136 with Staxi. The price difference does ring a few alarm bells!

That is for a day ticket, so return (and return again if you have a late sail away!).

I don't want to hijack the thread, but it really is something you should look into. We find it very useful when we travel to USA or Canada. We can use hotel etc wifi to make calls, in addition to WhatsApp calls (which requires both parties to have WhatsApp installed) even back to Europe.

Koningsdam has 2 coffee shops. Crow's Nest and Grand Dutch. Food is included in your cruise price, but coffee - as they are speciality coffees (latte etc) are not included and cost extra. Perhaps a more accurate way to look at the no charge/extra charge system is to remember that only the Main Dining Room and the Lido have free coffee and tea. MDR has free (regular) tea and coffee after dinner and Lido has free tea and regular coffee (serve yourself) 24 hours.

While doing a bit of research for the Charters & Groups thread, I noticed that the 'Legendary Rhythm & Blues cruise' is opening pre booking for an October 2023 Mexican Riviera cruise on next Tuesday. Guessing it will be on Koningsdam, but as yet HAL has not listed any cruises for the period. Could be that the updates are on the way 🤞
