  1. There is information on page 10 of your boarding pass regarding clothing.
  2. Not true! It is the same MSNBC, BBC and Foxy in Europe. šŸ˜°
  3. Thanks for the webcams. The one showing Centraal station is very good quality.
  4. They may sell them on Rotterdam as they previously sold it in Koningsdam's Dutch cafe.
  5. National Motorcycle Day? I just had to post. The love of my life. I have owned and been involved with motorcycles since I was 16 (long time ago!) Luckily I have only suffered minor injuries - abrasions, gravel rash, broken left pinkie and a fractured skull. My job for the last 50 years brought me into constant contact with bikes. I loved every moment! @marshhawk ATM's, are the way to go. However, depending on how much you need in euros, one suggestion would be to check out your roll call for any Europeans travelling who may want dollars for daily Hotel Service Charge or who may be planning an imminent trip to USA. I have done similar on Roll Call tours and transfers where I have booked the transfer and paid in euros for a group and they have paid me in USD or CAD. Remember that Turkey is not euro. Most places will accept euro or dollars but at a very poor exchange rate. Beware of the ship's exchange rate. It is not exchange, but robbery.
  6. Reality hurts! Glad you made it back home. Yes, airports in Europe are a mess this summer. Strikes seeking wages increases because of rampant inflation are not helping, but the core problem still appears to be lack of staff, specially at check in and luggage handling functions.
  7. It is available to book for our August Rotterdam cruise out of Amsterdam.
  8. No problems. If the staff left the door open and the elevator arrived at the same time, we could hear the ding ding in our room, but there was no noise during the evening or night and none in the morning that we heard. There were times we exited our room and there were trolleys with trays of used dishes etc in the service area, and if the door was open it was a bit untidy looking, but as I didn't have to do the washing up, I really didn't care. šŸ˜‰
  9. On a recent Oosterdam cruise there was one guy who ate lunch each day in the Lido, wearing his bathrobe. After a couple of days I mentioned to DW that it was not a nice thing to do. She just asked if I would rather he took it off and just wore his speedos ?šŸ¤
  10. I have no idea what 'Signature Package' is. The only packages available (looking at two current bookings) are: Unlimited Coca Cola Quench Signature Beverage Elite Signature Beverage. Details of all are below: Unlimited Coca Cola: Quench: Signature Beverage Package: Elite Signature Beverage Package: Even the Quench package now limits water to under 400cc (should state 400 ml, as it relates to a fluid!), which is the 12 oz size.
  11. Cruise was last month. Cans of water were available. Pull ring to open, but not resealable.
  12. I am sure they have more than one driver! You may get lucky. Driver had perfect English, but just wanted to try to beat Google Maps drive time!
  13. Those aluminium bottles of water are no longer covered by the standard package. The latest rule is that bottled water over 12 oz is excluded. Apologies for the quality of the image, it was a photo of the card in our stateroom
  14. The 225 bus takes 1 hour to go from the DWB gates to Cork Kent Station (rail station for train to Cobh). I have posted a link for the timetable. Arriving at 7.30, you would have to push to catch the 8.27 bus, which arrives to Cork Kent at 9.20. Next train to Cobh is 10.00am which arrives in Cobh 10.26. To return to the ship you need to catch the 3.30 pm train to arrive back to Cork at 3.55 pm to connect to the 4.20 pm bus which arrives to Ringaskiddy at 5.20pm (the next bus is too late, presuming a 6pm all aboard). I am still waiting for a response from the Port of Cork regarding a shuttle bus and access to the port area. https://www.buseireann.ie/inner.php?id=406&form-view-timetables-from=&form-view-timetables-to=&form-view-timetables-route=225&form-view-timetables-submit=1 Cork - Cobh train: https://www.irishrail.ie/IrishRail/media/Timetable-PDF-s/Heuston-timetables/13_mallow_cobh_midleton.pdf
  15. It is running ok. We were in Athens in June and it was running quite frequently.
  16. I forgot to report back, sorry! Not impressed with our driver. He was at the hotel on time and the van was clean and airy, but he drove like a maniac. Very unpleasant drive.
  17. Not very good. The driver thought that he was doing a qualifying lap for a F1 race. It was a white knuckle ride. Wouldn't recommend them.
  18. Isn't one of those 'sea days' the Dardanelles meaning you then overnight in Istanbul? No gala night then. Another of your sea days is the last day, so no gala night either. I think you may end up with 3 at most.
  19. Interestingly (or not!) the 'Smart Casual' is now listed as 'Casual' on Oosterdam. I don't remember if it was the Where & When or the Nav App, but one of them had dropped the 'Smart'.
  20. 6117 on Oosterdam also has z shaped balcony. https://halfacts.com/vista-class/6117-oosterdam/ and on Westerdam https://halfacts.com/vista-class/6117-westerdam/
  21. I believe that is a new itinerary with 2 x 7 day cruises back to back. until now Oosterdam has been doing 12 day cruises and only one 7 day cruise, so it there will be no definitive answer however I would put money on August 24th and September 1st. How many dressy nights are listed? It is mentioned on your boarding pass, which you probably can't get yet! šŸ™„
  22. Your boarding pass will give you that information - where to check in, when to check in etc. May be mid August at the soonest before you know exactly. IF Marghera is the confirmed departure port, then I would expect the check in/baggage drop will be at the Venice Cruise terminal and then bussed to Marghera as it is an industrial port with few passenger 'comforts'.
