  1. I just mean I notice what else is in the photo, waves, beverages, table rigging. Not so much your feet. ☺️
  2. I'm so sorry @RumAndCoconuts but this thread was for the 2023 sailing. There are several other threads about the 2025 sailing. Or perhaps yours.
  3. It is pretty much always windy in Cabo. But usually warm! And they use large shore-based tenders.
  4. We were on Serenade for 2 weeks in March. It wasn't bad, just kind of mediocre. Room Steward was great and fun. Long time employee. Pool deck bar service was bad the first day but improved over time. As always, had fun and met nice people. It was by no means a bad cruise, but I'm just not sure we are willing to pay high prices for a so-so experience.
  5. A few years ago, we were on a cruise. I think it was also in February. And we came home to this: And we said, "Oh. It must have been windy while we were gone!" It is all fixed now. ☺️And the creeping fig has grown back nicely, and almost covers the wall, again. It was actually much better to be home for this one and be able to keep an eye on things.
  6. @FromSea2ShiningSea @harryfat1 and myself are all in the SF Bay Area. The articles say almost a million in CA lost power during the height of the storm. Some are still without. The wind was just horrendous, with 70 mph gusts up where we are. There are lots of trees down. Harry lost an awning. But fortunately, like Helen, we didn't have any damage or outages. Just a mess of pine needles and branches that will need to be cleaned up when it dries out. ☺️ All the debris is from our neighbor's trees. My 3 trees are deciduous, so they hold up well in windstorms. It is mostly the eucalyptus and pine trees that come down in the storms.
  7. I hope there is some sort of penalty against the utility. Most of us are pretty ticked off at PG&E anyway.
  8. Thankfully, at least the wind is finally dying down. Sorry about your awning. But better to have it happen on a weekend when you are home. We haven't had any damage or power outages. There are a lot of trees down. We had to set the garbage bin upright a couple of times so it can be picked up tomorrow. ☺️
  9. We have a good photo of him. But I can't find it among the many. He is a very good CD, and high energy. ☺️He is coming down the lighted stairs in full YMCA regalia, so it was a Radiance class ship/cruise. But I don't remember which one.
  10. It looks warm there! It is cold and wet here. πŸ˜ƒ Enjoy your cruise! I am following to see nice, warm vacation photos.
  11. The onboard credit awarded has recently been reduced for repositioning cruises:
  12. I love these photos and your experience LB! ☺️($184 US)
  13. Which one is the guy with the alligator head supposed to be? πŸ˜ƒ Military/police character? Thank you! Your photos and review are fabulous and enjoyable! 😊I especially like the labeled plants and locations.
  14. It's the window washer platform. After a couple of days, you don't even notice it.
  15. Ah...Yes. That was a local incident. Very strange news and newspaper reporting on it at the time. No one quite understood what had happened. The Sherri Papini case was also in California.
  16. Yes. That is like Dewey Decimal for Dummies. πŸ˜„ But if they aren't going to follow their color coding. It seems like they shouldn't really bother with the sign. I, like others have replaced most of my novels with eBooks on my Nook. But I have still packed up 4 boxes of very heavy reference books for our move. I think Bill just made one super heavy hand truck box with his. Off topic. But are you all geared up for the next "Atmospheric River" starting on Wednesday? ☺️
  17. I'm sorry. What do the colors mean? Is there a shelf color or some sort of other organization? Stickers? I don't quite understand.
  18. Thank you! That explains why they looked so similar in Tenerife. ☺️
