I don't know where you heard that or what your health service is like. But I seriously doubt if that is the case with a hip replacement Graham. Based on the number of contortions and procedures involved in the surgery, general anesthesia is definitely required. Most people would faint dead away if they were allowed to be awake during the procedure.

It looks very nice! It will be like a whole new house. Question: Do you know what color that gray is? Manufacturer and color. We are looking for a color for our partial siding. I have a sample can of Sherwin Williams "Inkwell", but we haven't test painted yet, and it might be too dark. I like your dark gray.

I have had both of my hips replaced. They do the replacements anterior now. And they are really not that bad. They will have you up and walking a few hours after the surgery. I was fully improved in 4 to 6 weeks. There are exercises involved. And for Graham that was worried about blood clots, you are on many blood thinners. For both surgeries, I had to inject blood thinners into my stomach once a day. (very small needle) and take a full size aspirin, for about 2 weeks. Bill thought he would have to stay home with me. But he only had to stay home for a day. I could get around pretty well with my walker and we just put snacks and cereal within easy reach. βΊοΈ

Are you looking to do the water slides? We were fine with just walking around. There are some Chihuly glass sculptures in the casino. We were able to walk out on a lobby balcony and see a manta ray come up from the aquarium. We had some overpriced snacks and drinks, (listened in on a walking tour that was going on). Gambled a bit, sat in the big chair for photos. We were probably there about 3 hours. It was pleasant. We felt like we've seen it. We took a cab back instead of the horrid water taxi. π The water taxis are terribly overcrowded. No wonder they tip over sometimes. They pack as many people as they can in. And then there is an uphill walk to the resort, not fun in hot weather. -
Thank you! I have heard about creams. Note to myself. I will have to ask about that as well. And I am glad to hear that it is not unusual He just froze the red spot off on my upper lip. Right now, he is just having me put Aquaphor ointment on it (which seems like Vaseline in a tube) and very large bandages. But I will ask about things that might minimize the scarring. Thanks again!

It was Comfort Suites, but I don't think that is what they are looking for. I would just take a cab over, walk around in the allowed areas, gamble a little, and take a cab back. I do not recommend the water taxis. -
So. Armchair physicians. βΊοΈ Why does a half to three quarters of an inch lesion require a FOUR INCH incision, with many, many stitches? I will ask when I go to have them removed. And I am thankful that it was removed. And it is horizontal on my thigh, not vertical. So that is good. I am just curious at this point, how the perimeters are determined. They still send it off to the lab to see if enough was removed. It just seems a little excessive. And since I couldn't watch, I was kind of surprised. βΊοΈ
