Now I'm embarrassed. We should probably just drop it. π Apologies to the person, should they ever see this. -

Your second photo shows him better<shirtless> . But I didn't quote that one. No big deal. It just seems odd, on Celebrity! And a little bit of ick for interior chairs. Thanks again for sharing your cruise and all of the photos. I am very much enjoying it. -
I don't know about @jagsfan But Bill and I just did the Pylon Climb. Our bungee jumping and bridge climbing days are behind us. The Pylon climb was awesome, we could look down from the top and watch the bridge climbers, along with fabulous photos of the harbor and skyline. And the whole interior of the pylon is set up as a museum with exhibits and interesting information about the history of the Sydney Bridge, including the former cattery at the top. Maybe not as adventurous as the bridge climb, but we were quite pleased with the pylon experience. Then we went to bars in The Rocks, A Lowenbrau beer bar that was fun, and then Fortunes of War, advertised as Sydney's oldest pub. Edit: And I don't think Mimi, jagsfan likes heights...so probably not. π

Oh wow. I am surprised that they actually decided to cancel. Although the PM did just resign today, from where he has been stuck in San Juan. π Thanks for letting everyone know.

Thanks for the bridge photos. It is much more attractive lit up at night. βΊοΈ -
Could you just get the cabinets refaced with new doors, and then hardware? If the layout is fine? Replacing cabinets is a big (expensive) job. We are just going to buy a new refrigerator (stainless) that fits in the allotted space and other appliances before we sell. The new owners can always sell them and purchase what they prefer. Turn-key houses are kind of expected, and more popular here. After the tree fell on my mom's house, she has better and newer appliances than our ancient ones that we have here. π Fingers crossed that the Kenmore refrigerator will keep working until we move. It is making kind of an alarming noise. π

We were on (I think) Grandeur. On the first day, as I was unpacking, there was a loud bang and a scream from the cabin next door. I ran out in the hall, and their stateroom door was still open. Wife was sitting on the end of the bed rubbing her head and the husband was leaning the closet door back up against the closet. Apparently, the lady was unpacking with the balcony door open, and the man came into the stateroom. The closet door blew off of its hinges and smacked her down. She was okay, but that wind shear can be fierce. βΊοΈ

I'm sure they probably do. We quit purchasing them when we went to buy the Grandeur ship ornament, and it showed a helicopter pad on the front of the ship. There is no heli pad. Just putting the name on the side of the ship, does not mean it looks like the ship. I know you are talking about models, not ornaments. But I was just kind of fed up with the whole collectible thing.

You definitely should have dug them up to take with you! My Peonies have an interesting back story. When Jimmy Carter was president, our one and only peony grower was contacted by the White House to provide their flowers for a formal state dinner. Since then, they have been the official peony provider to the white house florist. Which is quite a honor, considering most growers are in the Midwest. The grower gave me a plant (of this single flower per stem variety) back in the 90's. I plan on taking the tubers wherever we go!

Tulip growers here and in Holland do the same thing. Tulip flowers will never be as robust, long stemmed and perfect as they are the first year. Dahlias are different. (At least they are here) The flowers are cut. The tubers are dug up and stored in the fall. And the Peonies are just cut flowers. The tubers just stay in the ground. I dug some up to put in pots this year to take with us, and the remaining bunches in the ground do not seem happy at the intrusion. βΊοΈ And in CA, tulip bulbs need at least 6 weeks in the refrigerator or a cooler before planting. And then eventually, they just sort of fade away....

United Airlines is having a bad week. Another SFO plane was diverted to LAX for a hydraulic issue, today. "United says airbus 320 has three hydraulic systems for redundancy purposes. They say a preliminary information shows there was an issue with one system on the aircraft. This is the fourth incident involving a United jet this week -- a plane skidded off a runway in Houston this morning and on Thursday, a wheel came off a plane above SFO. And on Monday, flames shot from the engine of a plane over Texas." ABC 7 News.

I thought you meant bluebottle flies! Are those little Man o' Wars? Fabulous photos! And we have so appreciated you sharing your cruise with us and such great photos. Thank you. βΊοΈ Thought so...and indeed they are. Nasty things: The Portuguese man o' war, also known as the man-of-war or bluebottle, is a marine hydrozoan found in the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. It is considered to be the same species as the Pacific man o' war or bluebottle, which is found mainly in the Pacific Ocean. Wikipedia
