  1. Oh yes! @taznremmy I wanted to mention that I finally applied for SS starting in June. And our agency is fully integrated with SS, so I get the full amount! In accordance with the one of their directives, my pension was reduced by $40/month, ever since I started taking it. NBD, because it is still a very generous pension. And I will probably just invest or add much of the SS benefit to my savings. 😊
  2. It is sunny, but chilly here, Pat. We still haven't turned the heater off. If we weren't having the kitchen painted this week, we would love to drive over and see you! But we have to be here with the painters. 😊
  3. I know. They do look weird. My childhood friend's father had some sort of clam chowder recipe, that he wanted to make. He always encouraged us to get one. It might have been like a snipe hunt, because we never did. The quiet parallel hole would of had to have been about 2 feet, (70 cm) deep, and we could never dig that quietly or quickly, before they jetted down. πŸ˜ƒBut we spent a lot of time trying, while our parents were socializing at the beach house. 🀣
  4. Interesting thing I learned from this Bizarro discussion πŸ˜€ Since 2005, he puts the number of hidden symbols as a little numeral over his signature. ☺️
  5. I totally agree with your wife! πŸ˜€ Alaskan King Crab is my favorite, but Dungeness are on par, or a very close second. We used to dig clams in Port Angeles and Mukilteo. Steamed clams are great too. 😊 (I haven't eaten dinner yetπŸ˜‹)
  6. Geoducks, pronounced gooee ducks. They are giant horse clams. As kids in WA, we used to always try and dig them up like regular clams. But they have a giant syphon and they are really fast, and very difficult to sneak up on, before they blast down through the sand. You're supposed to dig a parallel hole and then slide a flattened can or shovel underneath them. We were always unsuccessful. (Stock photo) πŸ˜€
  7. Nice! I think crab is nature's most perfect food. We are having 2 of our 4 remaining Dungeness crab tomorrow night for dinner. I doubt if I will remember to take a photo. But we have to appreciate them while we have them. 😊 They ended crab season early because the Gray Whales are on the move again. And salmon season has been cancelled altogether.
  8. Thanks @aussielozzie18 It was really cool. I should have asked someone else for their video out the windows. I'm sorry you have covid. I think it is unlikely that kitty would get it. But I'm confused by this whole thing. Bill was sick, when we came home from the cruise. And tested positive for covid. (twice) He had bad cold symptoms, which cleared up. And then a week later, he came down with a cold, which he promptly gave to me. I am much better now, but had a wet, drippy cold, and a productive cough. Negative for covid. I guess sometimes a cold is just a cold. πŸ€” I hope you feel better soon. Bobby the cat seems to be fine, even though Bill feeds him, he did not catch it either.
  9. Gee @mattR I really appreciate, your non-appreciation. The Navigator of the Seas even has an Escape Room! The activity lasts one hour and costs $19.99 per person. You must be 12 years old to participate and there does have to be at least 6 people signed up for the activity to run.
  10. And I forgot to mention something about our Serenade cruises. I like to sit on the pool deck and read. Around sunset, on week 2 on our way to the Bahamas, a very magical thing happened. A pod of 8 dolphins were surfing the wake and leaping out of the water, chasing the ship, right next to the side. Just for fun and flying fish. It was incredible, and they did it for about 10 minutes. I had my phone, but it wasn't turned on. I was more interested in watching them, than taking photos. Memories of ocean life like this are just amazing! And I don't think you have it so much on the larger ships. And that's fine. It would just be a different sort of vacation. ☺️
  11. Yes, some folks keep their homes much neater than ours. Something I should probably aspire to. Everyone seems to move their homes much faster than we do. I am going to have to work harder. The snow has finally melted at the other house. Plus, others are moving to empty houses. And I think that would be a lot easier. 😏 We still have to clear stuff out of there and take the cat. Off topic, sorry. We actually like Vision. We had another 12-night cruise that was booked under double points that was cancelled. Prior to that, on a previous cruise we had sewage/water flooding in the bathroom, twice. But they cleaned it very, very well and gave us $200 OBC and a 15% FCC. We like the ship, it's fine. We liked Majesty & Monarch too. If all you mostly do is read on a cruise, it doesn't really matter which ship you are on. ☺️
  12. That's like those Adirondack chairs. They are horrible. I don't know how anyone sits in them, except for young people. I can only perch on the front edge.
  13. Ice show no reservations. I didn't even notice Navigator had laser tag. But check your cruise planner, or the app once you get onboard. Or maybe someone that has played it knows. Sorry.
  14. No shows to book. I *think* the Escape Room was $19 p/p. I don't recall seeing it in the cruise planner, but it was available to book in the app once onboard.
  15. $54.99 for week 1 on Serenade, I think it was $59.99 for week 2 on Serenade in March. B1G1 half off is NOT the best deal.
  16. I think that epidural in his back is why he is without pain. I was bouncing all over and walking stairs immediately after my second hip replacement. I crashed a bit the next day. The surgeon laughed and said yes, the epidural is kind of amazing. 😊 Versed just makes you forget you had surgery. They use it for colonoscopies, and other things too. πŸ˜„Layman's opinion. Since both a physician and anesthesiologist post.
  17. That would be horrible! Can you imagine sitting there until 4PM without eating or drinking anything? And after fasting all night probably.
  18. On Navigator, Johnny Rocket's Express will add liquor to your milkshake. No cost if you have the DBP. (Or maybe if you use a voucher) ☺️
  19. Serenade....not Quantum. Reading helps. Photo quoted to SHOW blanket. And on Navigator, they were beige bed blankets. Not. That it matters. πŸ˜›
  20. The blankets on Serenade were red plaid. At first, I thought a group had brought their own, but I realized that people all over had the same ones. ☺️
  21. Navigator in California has blankets to check out at the pool towel desk to watch movies. Lots of people do. Recently, on Serenade in the Bahamas there were plaid blankets to check out at the pool towel desk, to watch movies or just sit on deck. So, I would say yes. There will be blankets to check out at the pool towel desk for a cold weather cruise. After you check them out, you can take them wherever you wish. Just make sure they are checked back in. If pool towels are $25, I have no idea what a blanket would cost. πŸ˜„
  22. You can purchase Omeprazole without a prescription here. There are several brand names, the most common being Prilosec. I'm glad he is getting some relief.
