My poem was written in 1986.It appeared in my published book of poetry and short stories.The title of this poem is MOVEMENT. He looked around and saw her laugh The woman with her lover She has a way of knowing The world is hers to love Moving through life like waves hitting the sand She met him in the hallway and held hm with her eyes The wind got louder The earth disappeared His heart lost its vision As he awoke from his dream

My poem was not selected to be read but as you asked me to post it ,I shall do so.

I never ate any kind of Japanese food.

TSOTD is the Brooklyn Navy Yard.It was established in 1801 and built ships such as the USS Arizona and the USS Monitor.During WWII 70,000 people were employed there.

What was the first cuisine you ate other than your native cuisine ? Somebody was surprised when I posted that the first time I ate pizza was at age 16.The first time that I had a full meal of a cuisine not my native one was Chinese at age 19.

TSOTD is from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown,NY.I was there 50 years ago and bought baseball trading cards of some of the immortals.

The couple that I know who live in LBI moved from a suburb of Philadelphia .

I have been writing since I was in college.I have written plays,short stories and poetry but if my poem is selected to be part of this program it will be unreal . Thank you

TSOTD is from one of my favorite places,Denali National Park in Alaska.

MJ ,I read my poem today and it was verbally evaluated .The most interesting thing is that some of the people were giving their thoughts about the meaning of the poem and nobody was even close. It is between me and three other poets to determine who will read to a National zoom audience . The show is Monday at 4 PM and I will not find out until Monday morning.

TSOTD is from St.Lucia. ,My granddog who predicted the winner of Survivor will be here later today and stay till tomorrow morning.Unfortunately there are no reality shows on TV ,therefore,I will try and get him to predict the outcome of a televised baseball game tonight.

Hopefully Eric will have a wonderful post retirement life.I retired,was bored and spent the last 5 years of my work life in Advertising.I knew nothing about that and was reluctant to take the job but I left the company as Vice President .

I remember vividly those days for me.When I was 2,4 and 6 my parents rented bungalows virtually on the beach .
