When I was on my first cruise in 1973 if I ordered pie or cake for dessert it was always a large size. People could request seconds or thirds without a problem.On my last cruise the portions were so small that I could barely see them. I try not to overeat but the size was ridiculous.

I love Sorrento’s pizza .I find it interesting that a person who posts on various CC threads stating that Sorrento’s pizza is terrible was on my last cruise and I saw him several times eating a large amount of Sorrento’s pizza.

For the past few years I have wanted to buy an exercise bike for home use.I never bought one.A few days ago my in home Physical Therapist suggested one and said if she orders it the cost will be a lot less then if I ordered it. The bike arrived yesterday. Just in time as earlier yesterday I went to a dessert restaurant in a nearby town to use a birthday coupon .I was given four choices and picked the one with probably the most calories.

Not the same thing but at one time in my life I worked in Advertising. Whenever we went to industry trade shows there were always people offering free cruises .I chose to never do one but several of my co-workers did.

If we are in a port that we do not expect to ever be in again we might choose to eat something in the port.Many years ago on a New England/Canada cruise one of the ports was in Portland ,Me.We had previously been told about a very good seafood restaurant and went to check it out.There was a long line to enter but we decided to wait.

2008 two week vacation in Alaska.We flew from NY to Minneapolis .After a several hour gap giving us time to shop in the airport area we flew to Fairbanks for a 7 night land tour with an HAL guide.We were very adventurous at the time and booked excursions for every day as well as every evening.We dined at the best restaurants in every area we spent a night in. This was followed by a 7 night cruise .We booked Shore excursions in every port.
