I cannot recall the last year we cruised with HAL to Bermuda but we had a Lanai cabin that faced the street in Hamilton.It was like being on a balcony. Our next to last night was a Saturday and we could hear the music from the club directly across the street .It was wonderful.

On the Danali tour the Guide was a college professor from Oregon who spent the latter part of May to mid August in Alaska.He gave the 30 of us on the bus books about Denali.He was fantastic.The tour was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours but it was actually 4.

Our second best vacation ever in nearly 60 years of traveling was to Alaska.We booked a two week tour with HAL .Week number 1 was a land tour with a Tour Guide that took us to Fairbanks ,Anchorage,Denali National Park and many other areas.We panned for gold,went dog sledding among other activities all included in the tour ,no additional cost. The tour was by train and bus. The second week was a cruise .We booked an OV cabin but got a free upgrade to a balcony.

Our first cruise to Bermuda was 50 years ago.We have been there 12 times .In my opinion a three day stay is the best for getting the most out of the island. We have been there with several cruise lines but the best was with HAL because they docked in Hamilton.

We prefer the ferry in Bermuda to the local bus.

I saw a very good movie yesterday on Prime called Rockaway.It is a true coming of age movie that I highly recommend.

The CD on my cruise was PR(initials).I agree with you about the ships library.It was the same on the 4 times I was on the ship.

I only had two friends in HS who drove cars and neither was a convertible.

The only ship I ever cruised on that did not have a casino was a Cunard ship in 1970.

The only time that I had great results working directly with a cruise line was several years ago when I happened to call and was connected to a guy who had the last surname as me . My name is not common and on occasion if I happen to meet someone or talk by phone to someone and find out that we share a name it has always turned out that we were related.

As a result of the 16 medical issues I deal with every day I probably have the Guinness Book of Records for most times in hospitals.

TSOTD is from the beautiful Knightstown ,Indiana where the movie Hoosiers was filmed.My 19 year old granddaughter went to the gym ,stood at mid court and made a perfect basket .I have this on video.

When I was 12 years old I had a freak accident and fractured my right hand .I began doing everything left handed including playing sports and at one time I was nearly ambidextrous .

My grand dog,Beuk is on his way here for an 8 day visit while his family will be on vacation.Although there will not be any reality shows on TV he is coming next month during when Big Brother will be televised.
