JP and my favorite Diva have nailed it. My only addition is to grab a New Orleans classic sandwich; Po’ Boy. Mahony’s is a good stop before strolling the French Quarter. My mouth waters thinking about their Shrimp Remi, a fried shrimp po’ boy topped with remoulade sauce and fried green tomatoes. If you go, don’t miss their shoestring onion rings, maybe the best I’ve ever had.

In 2020 on a Cloud voyage, we were provided breakfast the morning of the charter flight. No dinners. USD was readily accepted for incidentals. -
But, there is always a tropical storm lurking somewhere this time of year.

I’d love to hear more about this weather event. According to the local forecast temps are expected to be 66°, more sun than clouds, and a scant 6% chance of rain. So, the rationale to miss Portland seems bogus to me.

For those of us who aren’t aware, would you share what the issues were that the Shadow experienced in July 2023 as I thought she was over in Iceland and the UK, not Alaska.

When one lives in the mountains, the lobster prices at the source in Bar Harbor seemed like they were practically giving them away. Yes indeed. Always enjoy watching people freak out when they realize the path they walked on “to” the island rapidly disappears when they want to return “from” the island.

Such a cool small town. And, those crazy tides! High quality lobster everywhere you look at fantastic prices.
