  1. We also did some of those princess ones back when they had the 4 or 5 niters for under $200! I think it was on the Ruby. And one was even for Thanksgiving. But we like the differences on the 3 cruiselines, & the Princess casino deals we get are also the jr suite, freeplay, & the princess plus included which covers all the gratuities for cruise, internet for the cruise, & drinks all over ship. Do many of the 14 day ones. Royal does have the best shows, & gives us the gr. suite once a year. Best thing about princess though is that their mattresses are so comfortable!! Also good dinners & best pizza slices on Lido. On Royal, I have to ask for padding each time, except on Wonder last week-was so surprised that they finally put in great martresses on it!!
  2. Husband has been masters for several yrs. He was surprised when he first got to that level, as he plays the same not very high. I reminded him that because we go often within the year, his points add up (as it is the earned points for the whole year). We also do Princess & Carnival, but they rate only on the single cruise. But before covid, masters had extra benefits & special cruises. (They are just starting to add special cruises again). One great Xmas gift sent with a card was a free cabana on our next time we were at Coco Cay (after it had just opened). We were allowed coastal kitchen, suite lounge, & suite sundeck-but the latter 2 not after covid. But then they put in the OBC instead, (& at the beginning the $2,500 free art, which only lasted 1 month!)
  3. We are finding Princess the best-they give my husband a balcony or minisuite, freeplay, & the princess plus which includes all gratuities, wifi for the cruise, & drinks all over the ship. Royal is next, jr suite, freeplay & obc, wifi. Carnival for us was just ok, was ocean view with $500 & drinks in casino, but lately they've had better offers for suites/balconies, FP, & drinks all over ship.
  4. They always know about the masters lunch-you have to say the key lunch though, but they should have a list there of the masters guests. On the wonder , the regular line was short, & fast moving. One thing I did notice, for the first time- on the casino paper in the cabin, it says the masters benefits. It says masters do not need show reservations!! We did not have the ice show booked, so I went with that paper. Of course they had no idea about it, but he read that & let me in, right away!!
  5. My husband became masters before covid, & was surprised about it. But we go quite often, & Royal rates the player for the whole year, unlike our other deals with Princess & Carnival. So as you must know, the more we go, the higher he gets rated. He plays the same. Anyway, last May, we went on Harmony in Port Canaveral, with a balcony. I showed a crew member outside, his paper about masters & priority. He also told us to get in the regular extremely long line, since we didnt have a suite, etc. Lately we've gotten jr suites. But on the newer ships coming up, we have balconies. I asked on the masters phone line, & they say the port crew should know, But of course they dont !! And very few masters on each sailing, as I've asked at the key lunch, several times. Usually 8-12. So I just saw Lady Hudson;s advice, which I had already have in my purse, ready to go for tomorrow, when we have a balcony on the wonder. Found his card from April's Jewel, that says masters(but very small), & had printed out a bunch of masters welcome emails for 2023. We'll see what happens. Just got off princess today, & there we have our medallions to get in the elite line. No problem. We were on Harmony a couple of times, while it was in Ft Laud, & soon after 1X while in Miami, in March.
  6. My fav there is the Coco Cafe: Gosling Rum, Espresso, Coconut Cream, Kosher Salt, Grated Nutmeg and Chocolate. Milky Way is good also on Crooners Bar menu, & also at Good Spirits.
  7. Its always the 2nd or 3rd week of April every year. Then you can book your annual free one up till March31'24.(up to 7 days & no holidays).
  8. She won a progressive jackpot, don’t know what the wager was.
  9. My husband is masters. Yes, she'll need to go to Coastal kitchen, to make her dinner reservation for the week. The Masters/key lunch in MDR on 1st day is real nice also. But the port agents didn't seem to know about masters having priority embarkation. We'll find out this month, as we don't have a jr suite this time, to get on early.
  10. On the 1st week of our back2back on Carnival Celebration(mid Dec), a lady won $210,000 at one of the tables!!!! Found out that she was paid $50,000 in cash, & the rest was a check.
  11. When do they ask you which suit pkg you want? When we booked, they said you tell them later on.
  12. Got a regular mailed offer early summer, & they didnt have any jr suites left, so booked a big balcony. Couple of days later, noticed a junior suite quarantee was just put on the website, called about that & they changed my booking to it!! (it was still before the expiration of the offer) Was SO surprised, as I always thought you had to book an actual cabin for the casino offers!!! Doesn't hurt to call & ask if you see it.
  13. It is ,but it also falls under the bigger club from Carnival (same co as carnival uses)
  14. Dont know why royal does that-you get the email after you register, with only the edocs & luggage tags. To get your boarding passes, you have to go to your cruise list on the Royal website, & there you can print out your seapass & (luggage tag) also.
  15. once in a while, the free cabin will come with freeplay, but not as much lately. But everytime you are on the ship, you may get a casino offer the last day, which will include freeplay, if you book with next cruise.
  16. Bring your papers or email showing proof of the freeplay from nextcruise (just in case) On the first nite, it will already be on your account, or go to the casino cashier to get it. You can get chips or the slot freeplay. We've done it several times, on last day of the cruise (to get the freeplay).
  17. We got what a bunch of us thought was a beach mat , that goes over the sand to sit on, & put stuff on it. It was a big flat decorated mat. Maybe it was the beach chair cover. What does a beach chair cover do anyway??
  18. December before covid, Royal gave us the usual free cabin, drinks, & casino freeplay, but also sent us a Christmas giftbox of candy & a coupon for a free cabana at Cocoa Cay on the next cruise that we're there! So we did the cabana while on the Allure end of Jan 2020!!
  19. Yep, just got off the Marina this am, & my husband got his certificate. So I went to nextcruise yesterday, to book the new cruise, with the freeplay. It also comes with $100 OBC from nextcruise. It seems like only the offers you get, from being on the ship, are the best with the freeplay & OBC. Wish that they gave us the certificate on the 1st or 2nd day like they did back in Dec thru April. Then we had all week to go to nextcruise. But there is that form as well, but would rather get it done at nextcruise while on the ship.
  20. Yes, dont know why Fla cruises still have to test in Sept!! But it did say that they are still reviewing the situation.
  21. Our cruises since covid didnt have the buffet, only sit down, waiter service. Last one was Allure, in July.
  22. Before covid, they had some really nice event cruises. We went to one short one on the mariner, which had casino events on the ship, & then free tickets to suite area at the Miami Marlins baseball game, the same day you left the ship. Free drinks & food while you watched the game. Then we went to a Christmas party on the navigator, where they had casino events, & a holiday party & grabbag of real nice items, supplied by the casino. Another was a wine testing event in the casino & in dazzles. And an Easter casino event where they had an egg hunt in the casino for freeplay.
  23. it does say if you ever had these conditions. So if you were ever overweight, or ever smoked, you can check yes.
  24. Yep, we just got this as well, first an email & a real nice invite in the regular mail. But it would have been nice if they sent it earlier or had it at a later date. With all the offers we get, already busy that week. And I'm sure many of the casino players already have other plans as well. So, I wonder how many will be able to go for both the masters & signature events in Nov & Dec.
