  1. I have them digitally on my phone too but some are insistent they have to carry the paper cards. Perhaps they have not figured out how to get their digital records or put them on their phone? I have never though been asked to show a digital or paper record to prove vaccination status. So I consider the digital record a nice to have not a need to have.
  2. You interpreted wrong. They are not still in effect. I don’t now trust your account of the assisted living place or the hotel requirements. You can ignore me but I will reply to any misinformation that is posted.
  3. Nice try but while the page says updated in December if you read the dates under each island the info is as of March, April and May. It is outdated. It is not information. Most of it is wrong. What is your purpose? Are you trying to mislead?
  4. Glad I do'n't live where you live. No business or venue asked to see my vacination card the whole pandemic. I never carried my card with me and I went everywhere. Someone made a great point in this thread. What does vacination mean now? What good is a card with two jabs in February of 2021? I would consider any place asking to see a vacination card or requiring a mask this fall bonkers, If anyone did ask to see a vaccination card I would get annoyed with such foolishness.. But none are going to ask to see my vaccination card here and no busness is requiring masks so I am not carring a paper card or a mask. My dentist did not require a mask in July.
  5. What operating system and web browser are you using?
  6. Near the Dockyard on the west end there are spas at hotels like Pompano Bay, The Reefs and Cambridge Beaches. You would have to take a taxi or bus to those. There are several independent spas in Hamilton which is about a 30 minute ferry ride from the Dockyard. Grotto Bay Spa the Grotto Bay resort is the only one I recall being mentioned here. It is a farther distance from the Dockyard. I had very reviews a few years back. It is in a cave.
  7. I do the same. It is easier to get the bag that way. Sometimes let the bag go around again.
  8. Exactly. WhatsApp only for international calls. We don't need it to call US numbers from the ship or on land if we are using WIFi calling. If I am in the UK connected to my hotels hotspot with WiFi calling enables I can call US numbers for free. But if I call a UK number frorm my UK hotel that is when I woud use something like WhatsApp to avoid charges.
  9. With WiFi calling I get charged the same as if I were at home when using it on the ship. Since I have an unlimited plan I don't get charged anything. I have unlimited text, voice and data. (AT&T) Of course I have to have one of the ship internet packages. I can voice call familly members without getting charged if they live in the US. without carrier charges. If I were calling an international number like for example a local tour operator at a port then I would want to use something like Whatsapp or Skype, The way I read the OP they were not planning to buy an internet package. They only want to use the WiFi to use the free ship app and get ship info.
  10. I usually fly with freinds who do not have GE and we always ended up at the luggage area at the same time. I did GE because it included TSA pre-check and my credit card covered the GE or TSA fee. I have not done any international flights with carry on only yet but In plan to try.
  11. They are supposed to be going to facial recognition for everyone sometime in the future.
  12. All the Bermuda covid rules and forms were ended on November 13. No vaccination, testing, required and no forms need to be filed.
  13. If all airports go that route which I believe will happen will there be a reason to have Global Entry?
  14. Before the garage cars would soemtimes get painted from painting nearby when parked in the open. They paid to remove the paint and did a good job of it.
  15. No one has ever asked for my vaccination card and no place I go now requires a mask. I have not worn a mask since May. If the situation changes I will change but I am not stuck in the last war. I don’t think carrying a card and mask that no one cares about anymore is being prepared.
  16. I think this board or more specifically this thread could be confusing because many are acting like ports are requiring vaccination. They think they have to carry a paper vaccination card in their wallet. But I would suggest checking all requirements, not just vaccination requirements, check documents requirements too. The cruise lines leave that up to us.
  17. You don't know how to do an internet search? Currently you don't need to be vaccinated to visit any of those ports.
  18. I am wired with ethernet putt in the walls by the developer, done about 2010, and get 940 wired and 560 wireless. I must have better mesh routers than you. I bought them a year ago when I moved here. They are WiFi 6. If you upgrade you proably will get better speed. I think the wired speed depends more on my provider than my cables. I have fiber service.
  19. It was the Millenium Class I had in mind as not having an upgraded backend. Solstice Class had a better backend so it will be interesting to see how Starlink does on those two classes of ship, Millennium Class and Solstice Class. I was getting 4 MBPS without Starlink on Reflection so Starlink on Edge does not seem like an improvement. When I had 4G cell service I was getting 15 to 20 MBPS. Hard to imagine 4 MBPS at home. Your service is poor. That sounds like 3G speeds. I have 5G cell now, about the slowest 5G service not nhe plus, and I get 40-50 MBPS. Starlink has a long way to go.
  20. Must be a California thing 😀 In any case I have my verified digital record in my Apple Wallet. No medical provider has ever asked to see my vaccination card. Some have asked my status but they simply wrote it down. I had physical therapy for several months in early 2021 before there were vaccinations and they took my temperature. I had to wear a mask.
  21. I am not limiting to Labadee either. Some say to always carry it on person and others say leave it locked up. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, but most travel books and websites say to keep it locked up when not in use I have been to many ports and I have traveled extensively by land. I have traveled solo to Mexico, Central America Europe, etc. I have taken the same buses, trains, subways that local people take even in poor countries. I always leave my passport locked in a hotel safe if I don't need you use it iif there is a safe except in Russia where you are required to have it on person. Never happened to me but I have traveled with people who had their passport stolen, it was stolen because they were carrying it. If they had left it at the hotel like I had it would not have been stolen.(pickpockets are expert at it in Europe.) It was stressful but they were not stuck. They got an emergency passport.
  22. It does not always require an interview. I renewed about a year and a half ago and I did not have to interview . I don't know how they decide. They sent the card relatively fast. My guess is my next renewal will require an interview.
  23. People should have a passport. I would never tell them not to. I never take it out of my cabin safe and to be sure I don’t take it ashore at Labadee. But to each their own decision on that. I do trust Royal at Labadee as it is a private enclave. I have been there about ten times. I have been on over 70 sailings and recognize most of your blah, blah, blah fears are nonsense.
  24. The cruise line has a port agent whose job is to help passengers. They will contact the embassy. Whether you have a passport or not you will need assistance. Passengers have been evacuated at Labadee. There is an airport at Cap Haiten.
