  1. It depends what you order. If you have Plus then no charge to order but the food has to be something covered by the plan. What food did you order and what charge did the screen show ?
  2. Did you have ships WiFi ? We have been able to go any site I wanted to but you have to pay for the WiFi
  3. Assuming that menus will not change could be a little chancy. Changes could be made by corporate or new chef and of course the length of cruise and itinerary. We have never made specialty dinner reservations and just look at the menu for dinner in the morning on the app and if we don’t like it we get a table for one of the restaurants for after 7:30 or 8:00. Never had an issue
  4. The oldest ship currently in the fleet is the Grand which was built in 1998 and has around 2,000 passengers. Before that the was the Sun class ships from the mid 1990’s and also held quite a few passengers If these were the last ships they sailed the sizes now would not be that far off unless we are talking the new sphere class or Royal class. We take most of our trips on the Grand class
  5. You paid for special desserts and you got special desserts so what is the issue. Personally I cannot stand the so called premium desserts but they are what they are I saw tons of people gobbling them down on my last several cruises. Not everyone wants every item on any plan
  6. Not quite true the Coral is 5 years older than the Ruby and only holds about 2,000
  7. I use different hot sauces on tons of items ranging from any Mexican dish, soups like chowders, fish, seafood and meats. We have at least 12 different ones at the house
  8. I would for sure like to know the reason. Disembarkation times are never guaranteed because things like Coast Guard, customs etc. can delay things or speed them up. We were on a b2b last year where the first leg did not finish disembarking until 11:00
  9. Since you have the plus package grats are included. We only tip extra at the end of the cruise
  10. These call are from Princess Promotions a third party vendor. You can’t tell until you answer who it actually is
  11. Then what were they waiting on ? If it was an independent service they should have been able to call and change time
  12. In 60 cruises with Princess we have only had maybe 3 charges that we had an issue with and they were all dealt with quickly and corrected.
  13. Don’t worry last cruise one app showed me as elite and one new to Princess. And I have 60 cruises The website will show the amount of cruises you have and that is what will show onboard.
  14. Those are itineraries not ships. All ships have had smoking at one time some are just worse than others. It always amazes me that some ships have horrible tobacco smell while in others you can hardly tell
  15. And it will be listed in the Patter
  16. There are no non smoking casinos in the Princess fleet. Our biggest complaint is that there are almost always more slots on the smoking side of the casino of all ships
  17. We are in our 70’s. 40 degrees is pretty much our morning temperature when we go out for a walk
  18. Grand class ships I have been on have a few video poker on the bar but I have never seen them on Royal class
  19. Ocean Now is only for ordering through the app If you call room service on the cabin phone there is a $5 charge each time. This fee is waived if you have a plus or premier plan
  20. In 2022 we were among over 200 people who had been quarantined with covid and after standing in line to get off after everyone else was off we stood (no chairs) in a hallway outside the terminal for over 30 minutes before being put on buses to hotels that we had to pay for upfront and our luggage went to the wrong hotel which took another 12 hours to get resolved. I think they have actually gotten better since then. You can stay in your own cabin rather than being locked (yes locked) on a Covid deck
  21. This is not new. Back in 2022 we were 2 over over 200 covid patients who were disembarked after everyone else was off the ship and we all stood in line for well over 2 hours to get to the Covid buses to go to hotels since Canada was still ferrying people from leaving the country for 10 days after getting the disease. Not fun 6 days in a hotel room with no service
  22. I go even further I don’t bookmark anything and just check the daily events while having tea and breakfast
  23. Just an FYI on dining MDR is open every day for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is sea days only. Suite breakfast is for full suites only
  24. Bookmarkings are only reminders. The do no book anything
  25. And have longer cruises. We generally gamble several hours a night a night on 14-22 day cruises
