  1. The beverage package will be the same for old and new versions but the desserts, fitness classes and juice bar will only work under the new plan. I have 5 cruises booked for 2023 under the old plan and 1 cruise booked for 2024 with the new plan. The travel summaries are totally different with the old ones showing the beverage package only but the new one show the desserts fitness classes shown separately
  2. Can anyone verify that Captain Smith will be back in May ? We are sailing the Discovery in June and are not fans of Captain Street
  3. There is no such thing as traditional dining anymore if you mean a set table at a set time with strangers All MDR’s have the same menu
  4. As of May 2022 they still boarded us at 11:30 but fire doors were locked till later. No real big deal
  5. Tenders do not take wheelchairs unless you can stand up to enter and exit the tender. Remember the tender will not be stable
  6. If you don’t drink then I am not sure that either the Plus or Premier packages would be worth it to you unless you like to drink a lot of coffee drinks or soft drinks.
  7. COVID will never go away but if you are vaxxed and boosted the odds of getting really sick are much less I do not know anyone who had not gotten it at least once. Masking on a crowded elevator is not a bad idea and when using public restrooms Also masking in the buffet is not a bad idea. Other than that I just go about my cruise experience like I did pre pandemic
  8. There will be lots of players, daily drawings for free play, hot seats where every couple of hours a seat at a table or slot machine gets chosen for free play. Also you will get gifts sent to your cabin. We have received various things such as bottles of mediocre wine, canapés, chocolate covered strawberries and packing cubes and ponchos
  9. Texas does not allow drink packages so you can’t use the package till you are out to sea. Also I believe they can only sell alcohol purchased in Texas which will limit the brands you can get
  10. Also if you got busted for getting drinks for the kids you could lose your package as well.
  11. Depends on what they do for me like prepare special dishes on request. Otherwise we would only tip our servers If we have multiple servers we would give the tip to the manager to divvy up. We also do this for the servers at Sabatini’s bteakfast
  12. It is a bar not a restaurant. It is next to the Crown Grill but separate There is usually music in the evening and is available to anyone but had a very small bar area
  13. Whenever we have booked excursions prior to sailing they have always taken OBC first and then asked for payment on the leftover
  14. The only thing you can use any OBC for prior to boarding are excursions
  15. I don’t consider 1 1/2 hours for dinner all that long
  16. In a full suite and they turned you away ? This is a guaranteed perk
  17. No one has ever asked about arrival times at the port on the 4 cruises we took last year. 5 more scheduled for this year and don’t expect anything different
  18. No need to make a reservation. When you get to your suite there will be paperwork advising you to call the dine line to set up a time or if you our on a Royal class ship the concierge can help. The specialty restaurants know to set aside room on embarkation night
  19. Since you can only use OBC pre cruise for excursions what is the big deal with waiting till you are on board Like having extra money for whatever you want
  20. Never been asked to show time when I have gotten to port
  21. So you tip on excursions in American ports ? Canadian ? Do you actually research every country you visit ?
