  1. We were in a JS on Odyssey last month, and twice a day service was provided. We are generally tidy but desire the fussing, i.e. bathroom cleaned/fresh towels, and ice replenished.
  2. We were on Vision in February in an Inside cabin, with no refrig. I talked with one of the officers (I believe the Inventory guy), and mentioned I was disappointed the stateroom did not have a refrig. He had one delivered that afternoon. Only issue is where to put it in a small, cramped cabin. Ended up putting it under the desk so the cord could reach the 220v socket. It was a little awkward working at the desk, but made due.
  3. We are on Anthem TA in April 2024, and she will be sailing in Europe for the season -- I suppose not until after that at the earliest.
  4. Both have the same size -- the largest balcony. Both are bed by the balcony.
  5. They usually have one or two nice reds that are not offered with the packages. Not much of a white wine drinker, but will first taste them all, then head for the reds. When I find a nice one, I hover around that station until the end, then usually they free pour me the rest of the bottle.
  6. I usually get a double shot of espresso, then top it off with an Americano. Maybe it's all that milk that makes it luke warm. It's been so hot that I've always needed double cups along with a sleeve.
  7. I haven't seen them enforce the evening dress code in the DL since the restart of cruising. Also noticed no enforcement during dinner in the MDR.
  8. That's a good strategy, but sometimes prices go up considerably the longer you wait to book along with stateroom selection.
  9. Someone posted the segments for the world cruise: 26N ULTIMATE CARIBBEAN & SOUTH AMERICA 12/10/23 – 1/5/24 18N ULTIMATE SOUTH AMERICA & ANTARCTICA 1/5/24 – 1/23/24 19N ULTIMATE CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA 1/23/24 – 2/11/24 28N ULTIMATE HAWAII, TAHITI & AUSTRALIA 2/11/24 – 3/11/24 16N ULTIMATE AUSTRALIA & SOUTHEAST ASIA 3/11/24 – 3/27/24 12N ULTIMATE CHINA, JAPAN & SOUTH KOREA 3/27/24 – 4/8/24 16N ULTIMATE JAPAN, VIETNAM & SINGAPORE 4/8/24 – 4/24/24 15N ULTIMATE INDIA, SRI LANKA & MALAYSIA 4/24/24 – 5/9/24 18N ULTIMATE JORDAN, EGYPT & ISRAEL 5/9/24 – 5/27/24 11N ULTIMATE BULGARIA, ROMANIA & TURKEY 5/27/24 – 6/7/24 13N ULTIMATE GREECE, TURKEY & ITALY 6/7/24 – 6/20/24 11N ULTIMATE ITALY, CROATIA & MALTA 6/20/24 – 7/1/24 9N ULTIMATE ITALY, FRANCE & SPAIN CRUISE 7/1/24 – 7/10/24 16N ULTIMATE SPAIN, MOROCCO & FRANCE 7/10/24 – 7/26/24 15N ULTIMATE DENMARK, GERMANY & SWEDEN 7/26/24 – 8/10/24 9N ULTIMATE NORWEGIAN FJORDS CRUISE 8/10/24 – 8/19/24 22N ULTIMATE ICELAND, GREENLAND & CARIBBEAN 8/19/24 – 9/10/24
  10. It's an old Military Ocean Terminal. I remember parking there many years ago before they built the parking garage and got paint over spray from the Bayonne Drydock & Repair Facility. Got it resolved and my car detailed. It's a big ripoff in my opinion.
  11. Port Everglades only $15 a day. Why the gouging at Bayonne?
  12. We booked an inside on a last minute cruise this past February. It was all that was available. Hadn't been in an inside for over 15-20 years. Being an older ship (Vision), it was very small, and no refrig. There were just two of us and it had two upper berths. Couldn't believe they would have four people in that room. We made due for the 11 nights. We brought two of those fake night light candles, one for the bathroom, and the other at the desk so the room wasn't pitch black when trying to get up in the middle of the night. We talked to one of the officers and told him we were surprised no refrig in the room, so he had someone deliver one. We put it under the desk -- that's the only place in the room it would fit. It kept the beer chilled a bit.
  13. No, in my confirmation email they upgraded me and downgraded her Classic to the Zero Proof Promo Drink Package. I called and talked to a different agent to get her Classic reinstated. They did. Solstice TP upgrade from Classic to Premium was $820 for the both of us. That's insane. You have to call to get a real discount and not include the both of you.
  14. I went to the cruise planner to upgrade. It wouldn't let me upgrade just one. Had to do both. For a 17-night sailing, came out to a little over $800 with tax & gratuity -- just for the upgrade. I called Celebrity and told them my wife didn't drink because of her medication, so they gave me an exception. With my Elite+ discount, I was charged $297 for just me.
  15. Is that a recent change, because it used to be open on embarkation day. We would always go there to avoid the crowds in the Oceanview.
  16. We bought at $16 back in 2008, and then it went down to $5. Wife said let's buy more, but what does she know? 🤪
  17. We bid on a MoveUp from OV to AQ and assigned 9058. Terrible location. We heard noises constantly from above, and they were not rolling carts and moving chairs. Ship was full, and no where else to move us.
  18. Usually Royal will send you an email announcing the RoyalUp program. If you have not heard, go to this website and enter your Name & Reservation No to find out if you are eligible: Cruise Room Upgrades - Royal Up | Royal Caribbean Cruises
  19. Pre-AI, we sailed out of Bayonne, FLL, and MIA, and we were charged tax on our drinks prior to the ship's departure. No charge if you had the beverage package, because they didn't have to ring anything up. On one sailing, I knew a guy who started a tab at the Sunset Bar using his seapass. Once we were out of port and at sea, he would settle up without having to pay the FL state sales tax.
  20. I don't believe they charge tax in any port if you have the drink package purchased before you embark. They only charge the tax if you purchase a drink while the ship is in port.
  21. If this is this coming Odyssey TA, we are in a JS and RoyalUp bid to GS. I guess someone else's bid was accepted to free up that JS, and ours was too low. 🙃
  22. In my experience on an upcoming cruise, we are in a JS. I was given the opportunity for 3 separate bids to higher categories. You can either bid on all three or just one or two of them. You will know your bid was accepted when they charge your credit card (if you get card notifications). Check your cruise planner for your new cabin number/assignment. You can't go back because others will have had the opportunity to bid on the JS you are vacating. If you don't like the cabin you receive, you can only change if another one in your same category becomes available.
  23. Did they collect all the positive and negative tests from each stateroom, or was this just the honor system?
