  1. Well then Newman (East Pilbara) is the largest in Australia, bigger than Victoria and Tasmania combined.
  2. I always thought Brisvegas was referring to the Gold Coast
  3. The longer it goes on can make it frustrating but also gives you a better chance of an upgrade. We got a minisuite for an oceanview.
  4. That is the usual blurb. We have had an allocation on the dock.We went to check our bags in but had to find what cabin has been assigned first.
  5. Lol, luxury, we were so poor my parents couldn't afford to give me a middle name
  6. Hardest thing is remembering what you bag looks like, it is a good thing they have the tags on them.
  7. This is what I found. Melbourne has overtaken Sydney to become Australia's largest city by population — thanks to a technicality. The borders of the city, which is the capital of the state of Victoria, have been redrawn to include the district of Melton, allowing Melbourne to leapfrog Sydney, However Sydney Greater Capital city is still around 270,000 larger than Melbourne Greater Capital city. Capital City Populations, June 2022 Greater Capital City Significant Urban Area Sydney 5,297,089 4,892,217 Melbourne 5,031,195 4,929,201
  8. I enjoy Melbourne greatly when I visit. It has plenty of attractions to suit a varied range of interests. That said, I must be unlucky in not having found coffee better than any other city in Australia, mind you I haven't had coffee from that many cafes, probably only around 20 or so.
  9. Or 2 days prior from what some said on the FB site.
  10. Lol, I grew up with a sewerage system and other mod cons like cars and trucks.
  11. BTW, Brisbane is finally in the winners circle for some of this year's national sports competitions, with the AFL women's team winning.
  12. Agreed, or the generic Aldi version , Elmsbury
  13. Brisbane is a fine place to visit as well. It is the humidity that I don't do well in.
  14. Agreed, I think what happened with Qots was an anomaly, I have a few guarantees booked, and have never had an issue like that in the past.
  15. Cheers, I will be fine. the other thread is Now for something different.
  16. My achilles tendon hasn't healed properly, only 20% attached, so I now need a reconstruction. This means surgery and then 8-10 weeks of rest and rehab with a boot and crutches. The surgeon couldn’t do it until late February, so we have put it off until late march, so we only have to cancel one trip. It is the Royal Princess cruise to Japan and our South Korea visit after it. Unfortunately, we will miss cruising with quite a few friends on that cruise but all things considered it is better than missing 2 or more trips prior. I am still hobbling around but without the boot, the foot and leg is a bit sore and swells up with a bit of use but it is manageable. No running, or stairs and ladders, they will be out for some time yet.
  17. I will post in the other thread where we discuss these thing.
  18. Good news that it is healing , not so good with the pain.
