Very poor advice, there are sometimes dogs at the port exits for this particular reason. It’s not frowned upon, it is not allowed. You are a visitor to a country (island) that has rules in place for their own health reasons and they should be respected.

No fresh food taken off a ship was ever permitted at any of the Caribbean Islands I have visited. I have seen dogs with some security at some ports that are there for that reason, so I would never chance it. If you ask onboard they will tell you no, they will not pack you lunch to go and I would not risk sneaking food off the ship. Only prepackaged things such as granola bars etc are allowed. I’m sure like most of us you’ll find somewhere on the island to have lunch.

It’s been around awhile and is offered to the higher end suites if they are linked to your reservation, but it’s not always offered. Depends on how many retreat guests are booked for each cruise. It cost around $100 per day, per guest and I believe it has to be purchased for the entire cruise, you can’t buy just a day or two. It does not give the guests the perks of booking a suite (drink package, wifi etc) It just allows them access to the retreat lounge, deck and Luminae. If your parents are looking to book a suite lower than a Royal Suite, they won’t get the offer. The only other option would be dining in Luminae with them, at a fee per meal, per person and it needs to be arranged prior with the Maitre d’ as it’s on an availability basis.

Lawn Club Grill is one of the main reasons we book sailings on the Silhouette. Can’t wait for our Feb cruise aboard her!

Food is subjective. As many bad reviews you are reading, on other social media sites people are praising how wonderful the food has been on their recent cruises. Maybe you should book a land based vacation so you would have many more choices of where to eat, as it seems food seems to be a very big concern for you.

Lawn Club Grill is only on the Reflection and Silhouette

There are no menus for the Oceanview Cafe which is a daily changing buffet. Your sailing is over a year from now, so it’s possible there could be some menu changes between now and then, so I wouldn’t rely on what’s on the app today or even 6 months from now.

You do not receive those perks on a move up bid. You keep the ones you had, if any, from your original booking. What you get is access to Blu and the Persian Garden.

They don’t ask for your social security number to join their loyalty program. They ask for a drivers license or other ID.

Yes, I know I can sign in to Celebrity’s website and it will show my OBC balance . My question was if in the app can you see it somewhere?

On the app is there someplace where you can see your OBC or do you need to sign into your acct on a web browser!

It’s not considered an upper class suite, as you don’t get the amenities such as a bar set-up in your suite or unlimited speciality dining like a Royal Suite and above. It’s been reported by someone else on board that there have been NO cookies at all at Cafe el Bacio, have they now put cookies out there?

There is a thread with a poster onboard the Equinox right now in a Sky Suite and she reported on some of the changes taking place. As far as cookiegate, she has seen the $2 chocolate chips for sale at the gelato counter and has said that there are “ no cookies at all” at Cafe el Bacio! Also in the buffet at the ice cream counter, there are some cookies, but no chocolate chips.

Tuscan Grille would be my last choice. Muranos and Lawn Club Grill are so much better! (My opinion of course)

Lol, nothing is “free” You’re certainly paying for it in the cost of that Royal Suite!

Like you we rarely call the butler for things and we have been RS or PH guests on all our Celebrity cruises. I can’t imagine what I would need to call them for twice a day! When we meet them the first day we convey that we like an afternoon snack each day, coffee in the AM and maybe make a reservation or two and pretty much that’s it. If we order breakfast, they deliver it. We see them in the hallways and engage in a daily conversation to get to know them. Our butlers have always wanted to do more, but it just isn’t necessary for them to do things that I can do for myself. I would never bother them to deliver drinks to us, even though I’m sure they would. They are busy enough especially with some who think they are personal slaves.

We had booked a 4 nighter followed by a 10 night cruise for April ‘24. Got $50 discount on the first and $100 discount on the second. Celebrity wound up cancelling the 10 nighter to redeploy the ship and we moved just that cruise to Feb and cancelled the other since they wouldn’t honor the price to move it.
