  1. Smaller basic martinis, yes, not the specialty martinis on the menu. You would pay the difference between your limit on classic package ($13?) and the price of the martini plus gratuity.
  2. Being in a Royal Suite gives you speciality dining included for all staying in them. You should be contacted by the shoreside concierge for all your preferences (you get two bottles of liquor in each suite, beer, water, soda in the fridge, pillow preferences etc) and the concierge also can make your dining reservations for Tuscan Grill and anywhere else you want to eat. They can contact you anywhere from a month prior or a couple of weeks. You can also contact them to set up your dining reservations.
  3. If you are a suite guest, Luminae is open for lunch on embarkation day. Concierge cabin guests have a lunch in the MDR also. I don’t think anything else other than the buffet, mast grill and possibly the spa cafe would be open. Not sure about Sushi on 5, they might be too.
  4. Why make things complicated? She should use her phone for whatever is required for muster and then she can lock it away in the safe for the rest of the trip.
  5. I won’t book 11am coming out of Fort Lauderdale and that airport is a few minutes from the port. You never know if there could be a delay in docking, getting your luggage if you don’t do walkoff, if your transportation is on time, traffic, airport lines, etc. Especially for an international flight! Me personally, I would book the later flight even though it adds time, but I would come off the ship not stressed and worried about making the flight and fully relaxed from a great vacation.
  6. So sad that Bistro on 5 is gone! It was our go to embarkation lunch venue every time we boarded a ship! Started off with a great Bloody Mary, a cup of their delicious soup (the cream of mushroom was to die for!) a cowboy panini and then share a dessert crepe! Wish they’d bring it back in some form! Now we go to Luminae as we book suites, but it’s not as good as the Bistro was.
  7. Yes, I believe the hours are 12-1:30ish
  8. Wasn’t this asked and answered already in the OP post on Saturday? Not understanding the need to keep making new posts to ask the same questions.
  9. It’s true for all cabins except suites. It’s 9.95 plus gratuity to have room service delivered.
  10. This promo has been going on for months! I booked my upcoming Feb cruise under it and keep looking at adding a 4 nighter to it to turn it into a b2b. Todays “promo” is almost $4000 (PH) more then when I first checked it months ago with the same “promo”
  11. Not sure how often you’ve been a guest in Luminae but the policy has always been that having a guest is completely up to the discretion of the Maitre D’. He runs the show there, it’s his job and if he is expecting a full dining room at a particular time that you are asking to bring a guest(s), it’s his right to decline the request and try to work something else out for you.
  12. Yes you can do that. My son and I have done it several times dining in Murano.
  13. Blu does not allow guests. The suite restaurant, Luminae does for a fee and approval of the Maitre D’ Your choices are basically to dine all together in the MDR, pay to eat together in speciality restaurants, downgrade your Aqua cabins, upgrade everyone to suites, or hope that at some point you can get your daughter into an Aqua class cabin.
  14. I think you can call the number on the back of your mgm card and they’ll link your info, but you probably have to get your card upgraded at the rewards desk at whatever casino you go to. Has to be renewed yearly too. We are gold MGM due to our Celebrity elite status.
  15. All of this posters posts are confusing! I can’t keep up any more!
  16. Wondering if this topic could be made into a sticky since this is asked over and over!
  17. The comment was made because you have in the last few days asked the same questions over and over even though you were given answers to them. There is a sticky thread at the top of the boards that is all about move-up bids and people’s experience with them that you could read.
  18. Several years ago Bermuda passed legislation allowing cruise ships to open their casinos later in the evening, but the cruise line has to pay the Bermudian gov’t for a license to do this. Celebrity did last time I sailed there in 2017 and the casino did open at 9pm while in port. I’ll venture to guess that it still holds true today.
  19. I’ve hosted 3 sailaway parties and 2 evening get-together on Chic nights in the PH suite over the years. Shoreside concierge relayed info for the sailaways and with advance notice for our evening parties, our butlers were always great setting up with several trays of various appetizers, hot and cold, and several bottles of wine and champagne. Never were charged for any extra, but we were sure to tip the butlers very well at the end of all our cruises.
  20. This is not an option for Blu, only Luminae offers suite guest to pay for a guest and it certainly is not a guarantee. If there is one rule that is strictly enforced it is that only Aqua class passengers are permitted to dine in Blu. People pay a premium for it. Many people have tried one story or another to try to get their mother, father, friend etc into Blu only to be politely told no. I believe the opening poster has stated that this was a free cruise through the blue chip club and she paid a minimal amount to cruise in Aqua. She’s been advised many options for her situation with the best being to move all 3 of them to a suite and problem solved, all can dine together in Luminae or downgrade herself to the same type of cabin as her FIL so she wouldn’t then feel she was missing out on Blu. As Miched has commented twice (here and another thread) it would be putting the Blu staff in a bad spot.
  21. This has been written about over and over. It’s a glitch in Celebrity’s IT, which they claim they are fixing. Some people are having luck fixing it on their own with this method. Sign into your Celebrity account, delete you Capt Club number, sign out. Sign back in, add your Capt Club number again, sign out. Sign back in and your points hopefully re-instated.
  22. They won’t allow it. Blu is for Aqua class passengers and occasional suite guests only. It is one rule they strictly enforce.
  23. The upgrade for Captains Club is paying for a lower category cabin, say an A2, but getting an A1 cabin, it’s a cabin within the same category, not like a balcony cabin to concierge, or aqua class to a suite. It also has to be asked for at the time of booking.
  24. I would normally post this in the Roll Call, but after starting one months ago, I’m still the only person on it! (Not sure why roll calls aren’t as popular as before covid) Anyway, I just received an email from Celebrity telling me that the port of Roseau, Dominica has been changed to Fort De France, Martinique. Any Shore excursions booked already will be refunded and if you had a private excursion planned you should look into cancellation. They said it’s a berthing conflict that caused the change. Silhouette 10 night Southern Caribbean February 26, 2024 departing Fort Lauderdale
  25. There is a room service fee for any order, breakfast, lunch or dinner except for the continental breakfast items. Suites do not pay any fee.
