  1. I miss Bistro on 5, it was our go to place as soon as we boarded for our first meal! They had the most delicious crepes, paninis and soups! Yummmy Cowboy panini and cream of mushroom soup!
  2. It’s been a topic on these boards for a couple of weeks now. If you like lobster, get ready to pay $16.95 plus gratuity if you’d like a second one, unless you’re in a suite.
  3. Fish fingers!? Are they feeding mostly 6 yr olds in the OVC at dinner time?
  4. Yes it does. We are 3 people sailing so we originally had $1200 ($400 each) The new invoice shows the extra $400, but it’s all strange how it’s divided up between the 3 of us, but still totals out to $1600 now.
  5. It’s crazy! As I said earlier, it’s the PH suite, so it’s costly to begin with, but yes, it’s exactly close to $11,000 more then the fare I booked originally back in June.
  6. We were also on the April 22 cruise booked in the PH and no one from Celebrity contacted us. Only way I knew about the cruise being cancelled was because I went to check out the roll call and saw the info posted there. Was able to speak with the resolutions dept the next day and they offered me 4 dates that we could move to, staying in the PH at no additional charge (it’s now 10 grand more if I was booking it today) and an extra $400 in OBC. We moved to the Feb 26th cruise. Only thing that was disappointing is that our original booking was to be a b2b, with the April 18th cruise being the first leg. They wouldn’t do anything about moving that for us at the same price because that cruise is going off without issue. Unfortunately we cancelled that 4 nighter and they did refund the NRD. To rebook to the March 7th 4 nighter would cost 4K more then I was paying, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on it and hope the price comes down at some point. celebrity claims they sent emails to all passengers on the cancelled cruise, but of course most of us never received it!
  7. Update..... someone from the resolution dept called me back and this is what happened. They offered us 4 other dates to switch the 10 night cruise to. Same suites we had originally booked at the same fares as the cancelled cruise. I had the PH booked, my cousin had a Sunset Sky Suite. Thank God because the price of the PH on any of the new cruises is 10 grand more! Also is offering an additional $400 per cabin in OBC. The woman I spoke with, Ashley, was quite sympathetic and understanding in us having to cancel the 4 night cruise and because it was booked as a b2b she said we could cancel and receive our deposits back. If we wanted to book a new 4 nighter before or after any of the new dates, it would be at the prevailing rate, which for me is $4000 more, so no thank you for only 4 nights, so that cruise will be cancelled. I needed to relay all the info to my cousin and we are still deciding if we want to switch or cancel. Ashley will be calling me back on Monday morning for our decision. On the fence, not sure yet 😬 Thanks to all for your replies!
  8. Booked directly with Celebrity, on the phone with them now holding for a supervisor, because the girl I am speaking to has no clue, so frustrated. She keeps telling me I am booked on the cruise that my original one got changed to???
  9. Back in June I booked a back to back in the PH on the Silhouette for April 18th (4 nights) and April 22 (10 nights.) Just peeked in on my roll call and was shocked to read that the 10 night cruise was cancelled apparently at least a week or more ago and I haven’t heard a word about it. No call, no email, no nothing! So now I’m wondering, with the NRD, will Celebrity give me back my deposit since they cancelled the cruise? I have searched and searched for an alternative, but nothing fits our dates now and retreat prices are through the roof! i have no intention of flying to Fla from NY for a 4 night cruise, just isn’t worth it, so I obviously will be cancelling the other cruise and am figuring that I will now have to forfeit the deposit on that cruise through no fault of my own! I can’t believe after so many cancellations due to Covid of cruises we had booked that I’m getting screwed again! Any thoughts or suggestions on if they make exceptions on the NRD?
  10. The Solstice is an S-class ship so the kitchens are close enough for your waiter to bring you items from the main dining room menu. On the newer E-class ships the kitchens are on opposite ends of the ship and it’s quite a task for the dining staff to accommodate. Sometimes they will, but other times they won’t. On our last Cruise on the Silhouette (s-class ship) our waiter always presented the Luminae and the Main Dining room menus.
  11. I would call back and speak to someone about the B2B discount. Have one booked for April of 2024, first leg is a 4 night, second is a 10 night and I received $50 and $100 off the fares.

  13. Love the Silhouette! Great dining venues! The Porch and the Lawn Club Grill are only on Silhouette and the Reflection, and also has Muranos. Our last cruise we had great meals in every restaurant onboard.
  14. I booked a b2b this past weekend directly with Celebrity and asked about the discount and was given it right away. First leg is a 4 nighter, was given $50 off, second leg is a 10 nighter, was given $100 off.
  15. That is a service they provide but I believe most people don’t utilize it. Myself personally like to do my own unpacking and decide where things need to go, plus I would never take up that much time with a butler as they have other suites to service. Embarkation day is very busy for them welcoming passengers aboard and providing information to each of their assigned suites. Also, if you have them do this for you, it is required that you stay with them the entire time as they do this chore.
  16. Thank you both so much for the responses! At least my mind is at ease that they still have a nice roomy sofa bed as my son is also 6 ft tall and gets stuck (if being on a cruise is what you consider stuck! Lol) sleeping on the pullout in the PH or RS when we sail. Doing 14 nights in 1616 so I will probably give up my spot in the bedroom on occasions for him to be really comfy (he’s special needs, so a bit spoiled) Terrible that they got rid of the drawers in the bathroom as I like to store things out of sight to keep it looking neater as as you stated Chemmo, leaving the vanity top clear for the room attendant.
  17. We last sailed in the Silhouette PH in March 2019 which was before the the refurbish to all the new furniture that is now there. I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos and have seen the new furnishings and have a question about the sofa to those that have sailed in this suite after it’s been “Edgified” The old living room had a regular sofa with arms that folded out to a queen size bed and was perfect for my adult son to sleep on. In the videos of the new and improved suite, the sofa is now more of an “L” shaped with no arms. Is there still a sofa bed in it? If there is does the section that faces the TV fold out or the other side. Hoping it’s the same size as what use to be there as we are sailing for 14 nights and I would like my son to be comfortable.   18. Hmmm, yes I guess that is correct, but then I can’t figure out why so many people are re-checking their cruises and finding higher prices and some of us are finding fantastic deals!
  19. What I think people are missing is that this promo isn’t on ALL cruises, it’s on select cruises. The promo flyer says “applicable” sailings, not all sailings.
  20. I’ve been watching and pricing a 2024 b2b on the Silhouette for about 3 months now to book the same PH for both sailings. With the new promo I pulled the trigger today saving almost $8000 from the price that fluctuated up and down since I’ve been watching it. I’m happy!
