  1. In Nov we were notified that our upcoming April ‘24 Silhouette cruise was being redeployed and we were given the option to change it, which we did to a Feb cruise. Since then every once in a while I check my balance due and it’s always $300 more, they keep adding back the $100 change fee (we’re 3 people) Call every time to have it fixed, they claim to do it, and send a correct invoice (I’m up to invoice copy #7!) I’m sure if I go in right now to check it, it will show the $300 added in again! It’s so frustrating!
  2. If you look in the app under beverages, then click on beverage experience, the classic stateroom setup is listed there for purchase. It’s $135 and includes one bottle of liquor and 6 mixers. It’s offered at a 10% pre cruise discount.
  3. Upper tier suites get called by the concierge, sky suites typically do not. You might receive an email from one asking for some preferences you may have like dining reservations, type of pillows you prefer or extra hangers. It’s hit and miss, but you can also speak with your butler once onboard.
  4. You need to speak with your TA, they will be the only one Celebrity will talk to check to be sure your account is correct.
  5. Thank you for this! I just went into my Celebrity account on their website and the balance due was $300 more then my original invoice. Took the gentleman about a half hour to straighten it all out! Check your balances!
  6. Always had our 1st night dinner in the original Qsine, was so sad to see it go! The Le Petite restaurant doesn’t interest me at all.
  7. Why would you pay for Aqua and then eat in the MDR? I can see a day or two, but I hope you aren’t planning on it for your whole cruise.
  8. Not true, the new terms and conditions are not for bookings starting today, it’s for any cruise that is leaving after today. I booked my upcoming Feb ‘24 cruise in July of ‘22 and it says my cruise is affected. This is the wording from the email. Since you are currently booked on a voyage that departs on or after April 12, 2023, the new legal terms will apply to your cruise. No action is required on your part, but if you wish to view the changes that are now applicable to all guests booked on or after April 12, 2023, they’re available to you, here:
  9. We love the Hyatt Place on 10th Ave, have it booked already for our Feb ‘24 cruise. Great location, comfortable and clean rooms.
  10. When you check in it will have you pick an arrival time, but you are a Retreat guest which will allow you to arrive at anytime. Boarding usually begins around 10:30-11am.
  11. My husband loves relaxing in the balcony “hot tub” with a bottle of wine and a plate of snacks while he waits for me to get ready for the evening, usually on sea days.
  12. With a move up you keep whatever perks your original booking had ( drink package, WiFi, etc) you don’t get that upgrade. What you do get are the room amenities, in this case, access to all of the Retreat areas, bar setup and speciality dining.
  13. Continental breakfast is no service charge, so you’re good.
  14. Celebrity’s dress code is on their website. Why don’t people look there first before posting on an internet message board where they will get 100 different answers?
  15. Other lines do the same, so one shouldn’t be shocked. If you are booked in a suite, you do not pay the charge.
  16. Lawn Club Grill is one of our favorite places to eat! Everything is good! The warm chocolate chip cookie is a must do no matter how full you are! Also, try them for lunch, they make amazing burgers!
  17. As we have never had guests in Luminae, I was quoting what I had read here on the boards. Perhaps someone who has actually paid for guests or is onboard now can give us the correct amounts.
  18. Guests are not permitted to dine in Blu, only those booked in Aqua class cabins may dine there. The only exception is for Suite class passengers, but that has to be arranged with the Blu Maitre D’ and is based on availability. There is no charge for that. Suite guests are permitted to invite guests to dine in Luminae for a fee. Once again, it needs to be arranged by the Luminae Maitre D’ and is also based on availability. I believe the fee is $30pp for lunch and $50pp for dinner and it is charged to the suite passengers onboard account.
  19. You could all download the Celebrity app and use that to send messages, no Wi-fi needed.
  20. I didn’t answer your makeup mirror question because I don’t know the answer to it as I don’t book Aqua class. If you asked about suites, then I would know.
  21. I believe it’s in the cruise contract that you agree to that Celebrity has the right to change ports/itineraries if they have to. Sometimes they have no choice due to circumstances beyond their control, for example a dockworkers strike. They aren’t going to provide any compensation for that. On our upcoming Feb 2024 Caribbean cruise they have completely swapped out one island for another.
  22. I don’t know how many different ways or how many times you are going to ask about getting MDR food in Blu on an Edge class ship. You have been advised on this subject several times, in several threads, but continue to ask it. If you want prime rib and it’s only served in the MDR, make arrangements to eat there on the night it’s served.
  23. That package is offered for higher end suites and depends on the ship and capacity. It has to be pre-arranged with the shoreside concierge if it is available and I believe the cost is $99 per person for each day of the cruise. You have to purchase it for the entire cruise, it’s not offered as a pick and choose which days.
  24. Imagine if everyone who was traveling in a suite wanted their non suite family guests to board with them? People pay to have the privilege to board without time restrictions and in a separate area. Your son did not. They should meet you onboard.
  25. Wants it in writing from who??? A cruise critic poster?? I don’t think they listen to “but I read it on cruise critic!”
