  1. Right, I needed it to get my Pepsi zero!
  2. We did two cruises in 2022, and we told a paper copy of required. For those who did not have them they had to get out of line to go to a side room to have them printed. (We had to show ours a dozen times at the port and then on the ship.)
  3. We sailed on the Valor right before Thanksgiving. We found the ship in a good state of repair, the crew hardworking and friendly. The entertainment was good, but we missed the big stage productions of the past. The food was mostly good and as expected. WE ate mostly in the buffet during the day and most nights at the MDR- no major complaints.
  4. Guam is a US territory and people born there are US citizens. Carnival FAQ indicate birth certificates from Puerto Rico prior to 2010 may not be accepted but no mention of Guam.
  5. Don't you have to have a valid government photo ID to get a passport and OP says she lost it.
  6. Let's us know if you are allowed to sail! bon voyage!
  7. There are no activities for an 18 month ago and a child in swim diapers will not be allowed in the water areas but to be honest I have seen kids in diapers in pools, hot tubs, splash pads but now the crew monitor the water areas much closer.
  8. If you cancel the cruise or denied boarding, they will be automatically refunded. Good luck with the ID situation.
  9. There are things to complain about on Carnival cruise, but I find more things to enjoy. I have sailed on two cruises last year, two planned for this year, and at least one for 24. I am sure Mrs. Duffy is aware of the problems and is working to resolve those that can be fixed Some things are just personal preferences that cost too much to be resolved to the liking of some customers. I personally like the twice daily room cleaning and the nightly turn down services, but I realize those services are gone forever.
  10. I do not know what will happen in Carnival's future but in the past, I bought my 100 at $30 per share- it is now worth around $10 so that is not good, but I have gotten most of my lost money back in dividends and OBC. There are several good signs for Carnival- they bookings are up so there is a big demand for cruising and thankfully fuel prices have not skyrocketed yet but on the negative side: Carnival is in massive debt and cruise prices are behind the inflation rate. This is good for us but in the long run will it jeopardize the cruise industry?
  11. I just rented one and the first question was "are all drivers over 25?"
  12. The rule does not apply to a married couple but it comes down to it this is a come rule in the travel industry. You cannot rent a car if under 25. I am a member of a resort club where guest have to be 25 to check in.
  13. They have thrown a few odd 6 or 8 day sailings occasionally that breaks up the Sunday departure dates.
  14. Can you still get one plan and change devices? (using one at the time)
  15. I doubt the social plan would meet your needs. On our recent cruise, we bought the mid price plan for a few days and we had a hard time with the book of faces although my daughter used snap and chat ok.
  16. Would the US government deny entry to a US citizen who was sick or injured?
  17. I did two cruise this year, no door hangers. In November there was a $3.00 charge list for coffee on the QR menu but they told us the was no charge in morning.
  18. To be honest the coffee shop, soda, and water that are included in Cheers are a nice benefit but Cheers is about the booze. If your family plans to partake several alcoholic drinks everyday you probably should get it so at least you know how much you will spend on drinks. Enjoly!
  19. If I were using a birth certificate, I would buy a new one for the proper government agency to make sure the was no problem but to be honest I have seen people using ones that were literally falling apart and others had relative fax a copy to the port.
  20. Follow the guideline- put some slacks on him for elegant nights- other nights the golf shorts and jeans or fine.
  21. Carnival stock is still way down, debt is high, revenue is not catching-up to expenditures and debt servicing so who really knows the future of Carnival. I suspect more major changes will be coming in the next few years. Thankfully bookings are high. I hope Carnival will make through this, but I am not sure it will avoid some sort of debt restructuring
  22. I have booked five cruises since the resumption of cruising (already completed two) all of them are cheaper than my last few pre-pandemic cruises. Higher prices must happen in order for Carnival to have a chance of survival.
  23. Yes, that is through the Hub app but it is only for folks on the same ship.
  24. In June, I cruised on the Breeze and found iPhone messages and Messenger worked to other iPhones uses while connected to the free ship's wifi but it did not work on the Valor in November.
  25. I did two cruises this year, (one balcony) although I do not know what weeds smells like, I did not notice any usual smells.
