  1. Personally. the cabana would be enough to keep my family entertained for the day-sand, floats, water, loungers, AC, and food.
  2. You are right, please take five minutes and read the FAQ, or even the contact for those who are really interested. (I think this is the first time Behoove has been used on this site.)
  3. Yes, on most Carnival cruises leaving from a US port and returning to the same port.
  4. Enhanced soda drinks depend on the bartender and how busy the bar is. They are of no interest to me but over my cruises, various bartenders have dressed up sodas for my child but usually, they were one not too busy and looking for an extra tip.
  5. No, this is not true most birth certificates do say, "Certificate of Live Birth." I have worked in the school system for many years and have viewed birth certificates from all over the world. The Key issue is whether are not it is issued by a proper government agency.
  6. That must have been an old review-
  7. Parking is always at a premium in New Orleans. Most hotels near the port charge fees for parking so I do not know any that include free parking for a cruise. Some will allow you to park but it will probably cost more than the terminal parking. So we just park at the terminal.
  8. I hope that the family would take whatever steps they can to get it fixed now before it causes more problems in the future. I do now in my state after a year it would require a court order (and legal fees.)
  9. It is not clear even with the added ships if Carnival can recover from the deep hole they (we, since I am a 100 share owner). I hope recovery is possible but I have been saying for three years we may eventually have Royal Carnival. With this said Carnival does have a good product and I am hopeful but I did buy my stock at $30.00 a share so I am down. (Thankfully I have gotten dividends and onboard credit over the years to help offset my loss)
  10. I am not sure why NA beer is excluded from carry-on but a few weeks ago I was at a store and the gentleman ahead of me in his forties was not allowed to buy NA beer since he didn't have his driver's license.
  11. It depends on the policy and what you need to be covered. It a hurricane pops up then all policy sales stop but in normal conditions, you can buy some policies up until sailing- with certain restrictions.
  12. In my experience, they do enforce at least some rules. I wasn't allowed to get ice cream without a shirt on even though the ice cream was barely in the door past Guys. My child was not even allowed to walk through the serenity area to get to the shortcut to our spa cabin.
  13. Didn't they restore the bootles of boozes? It is listed for my June cruise.
  14. Calculate if persons 1 and 2 will drink enough without Cheers to justify the expense for all three. If Cheers for all three cost $1500 and 1 and 2 would spend close to that without Cheers then it is a good option. Also, person 3 would have all the non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy. (Maybe even could secretly pass a few glasses of booze)
  15. I agree, I do not know how much they make but it does appear the crew make enough for most of them to return year after year. I always pay my auto-tips and generally give a little extra but to be honest I suspect many passengers who remove their tips do not tip in cash.
  16. Do they enforce this, I always scooters and monster strollers parked outside cabins.
  17. For a $100 you can buy an unlimited call and text plan if you have an ATT phone.
  18. We did not sail that ship but on the Breeze and Valor, we had similar experiences. We used the app were able to walk right to a table but it did take a little while to get service. But we were relaxed and did not get upset. It was funny that many people did not understand that a table should be reserved on the app for breakfast. We walked right past dozens of people waiting in line using the app.
  19. Right, I needed it to get my Pepsi zero!
  20. We did two cruises in 2022, and we told a paper copy of required. For those who did not have them they had to get out of line to go to a side room to have them printed. (We had to show ours a dozen times at the port and then on the ship.)
  21. We sailed on the Valor right before Thanksgiving. We found the ship in a good state of repair, the crew hardworking and friendly. The entertainment was good, but we missed the big stage productions of the past. The food was mostly good and as expected. WE ate mostly in the buffet during the day and most nights at the MDR- no major complaints.
  22. Guam is a US territory and people born there are US citizens. Carnival FAQ indicate birth certificates from Puerto Rico prior to 2010 may not be accepted but no mention of Guam.
  23. Don't you have to have a valid government photo ID to get a passport and OP says she lost it.
  24. Let's us know if you are allowed to sail! bon voyage!
  25. There are no activities for an 18 month ago and a child in swim diapers will not be allowed in the water areas but to be honest I have seen kids in diapers in pools, hot tubs, splash pads but now the crew monitor the water areas much closer.
