  1. The insurance will generally require a doctor's statement that he/she advised your husband no to cruise due to a medical condition. Plus, the insurance may will want medical records going back at least six months. So I would be gathering that information. It sounds like persons 1 and 2 are still cruising so it is possible if you cancel then their price might increase. I would call to find out the best options. Good luck.
  2. On my last cruise on the Breeze Guys just had some frozen type fries just like the ones in the deli. That was a disappointment.
  3. If you give it in cash, it goes to the server. If you put it on the receipt, they told me it too goes directly to the server also but some on her will dispute this.
  4. You need a document of recovery which is a copy of your positive test from a certified lab within the last 90 but more than ten. No doctors letter is necessary.
  5. You are right there are plenty of passengers but prices are still down. I had a cruise in June and have three more booked, all are cheaper than my last few pre-pandemic cruises.
  6. It is clear that cruise industry is still suffering and this is an effort to increase the passenger base. Soon the cruise lines will have to raise prices and they hope the unvaccinated will help fill the ships.
  7. Right, that was the point of my original reply. Thankful that is why the cruise lines introduced the documentation of recovery process.
  8. What kind of upgrade are you looking for? Right now ocean view cabins are less than $200.00. there are only a few balconies. I am sure they are sold out. There are suites for about $800 per person. Good luck and enjoy. We are sailing in September.
  9. A few weeks ago while at Sea Day Bruch, I order some bacon, my servers brought me ten pieces. Of course, I had to complain to John Heald that the server thought I was a buffet slayer or something.
  10. Is it possible to be reinfected in such a short time?
  11. That could be true, my family spent around $400 onboard for three people.
  12. I too have several cruises books- all cheaper than before the shutdown. Can the cruise lines continue to sell their cruises cheaper than before when all their expenses are up?
  13. One of the biggest benefactors of covid has been the disposal food container industry. Schools, hospitals, restaurants, and food delivery services have fill untold tons of waste with paper, plastic, and Styrofoam containers. Not to mention all the other containers, boxes, etc from amazon, and all the other delivery services.
  14. Unless something usually happens, you should be fine. Often ship arrive in the middle of the night at Miamai and wait offshore a bit before docking.
  15. Yes and no, Somethings are included between 6am and 10pm, while there are a charge for others. After 10pm there is a charge for everything.
  16. I have known several people in this situation where they had a positive test, then test negative and then test positive again. I heard several health officials say there is no need to retest after the first positive test for three months since a positive test can appear again. They say it does not mean you are contagious again. So based on Carnival's policy you can sail with a document of recovery as long as you have no symptoms. Good luck and have fun.
  17. On our recent cruise on the Breeze, folks were made to pour their drinks out before leaving the ship, too.
  18. Even after two years there are still a lot of questions about testing. In May of this year. Several family members had symptoms-coughing, sore throat, weakness, etc. I had only a running nose. We took some home test. They were negative but I was positive on two home tests. We went to get medical tests. Again, everyone tested negative but me although they still had worse symptoms.
  19. Yes, they will have to. Finally, being vaccinated means something.
  20. We decided this year only to take five-day cruises to hopefully avoid this situation. I realize this as not guarantee but it seems a short cruise gave less chance for the virus to manifest onboard. (We actually got a mild case a month before our cruise so hopefully that protected us a little bit.) We only heard about one family who reported covid after the cruise so that was good news.
  21. Once testing is eliminated it will not be hard to find the news, a 1000 people will be posting here, another thousand on youtube, not to mention a few million on Facebook, and all the other platforms.
