  1. If you cancel the cruise or denied boarding, they will be automatically refunded. Good luck with the ID situation.
  2. There are things to complain about on Carnival cruise, but I find more things to enjoy. I have sailed on two cruises last year, two planned for this year, and at least one for 24. I am sure Mrs. Duffy is aware of the problems and is working to resolve those that can be fixed Some things are just personal preferences that cost too much to be resolved to the liking of some customers. I personally like the twice daily room cleaning and the nightly turn down services, but I realize those services are gone forever.
  3. I do not know what will happen in Carnival's future but in the past, I bought my 100 at $30 per share- it is now worth around $10 so that is not good, but I have gotten most of my lost money back in dividends and OBC. There are several good signs for Carnival- they bookings are up so there is a big demand for cruising and thankfully fuel prices have not skyrocketed yet but on the negative side: Carnival is in massive debt and cruise prices are behind the inflation rate. This is good for us but in the long run will it jeopardize the cruise industry?
  4. I just rented one and the first question was "are all drivers over 25?"
  5. The rule does not apply to a married couple but it comes down to it this is a come rule in the travel industry. You cannot rent a car if under 25. I am a member of a resort club where guest have to be 25 to check in.
  6. They have thrown a few odd 6 or 8 day sailings occasionally that breaks up the Sunday departure dates.
  7. Can you still get one plan and change devices? (using one at the time)
  8. I doubt the social plan would meet your needs. On our recent cruise, we bought the mid price plan for a few days and we had a hard time with the book of faces although my daughter used snap and chat ok.
  9. Would the US government deny entry to a US citizen who was sick or injured?
  10. I did two cruise this year, no door hangers. In November there was a $3.00 charge list for coffee on the QR menu but they told us the was no charge in morning.
  11. To be honest the coffee shop, soda, and water that are included in Cheers are a nice benefit but Cheers is about the booze. If your family plans to partake several alcoholic drinks everyday you probably should get it so at least you know how much you will spend on drinks. Enjoly!
  12. If I were using a birth certificate, I would buy a new one for the proper government agency to make sure the was no problem but to be honest I have seen people using ones that were literally falling apart and others had relative fax a copy to the port.
  13. Follow the guideline- put some slacks on him for elegant nights- other nights the golf shorts and jeans or fine.
  14. Carnival stock is still way down, debt is high, revenue is not catching-up to expenditures and debt servicing so who really knows the future of Carnival. I suspect more major changes will be coming in the next few years. Thankfully bookings are high. I hope Carnival will make through this, but I am not sure it will avoid some sort of debt restructuring
  15. I have booked five cruises since the resumption of cruising (already completed two) all of them are cheaper than my last few pre-pandemic cruises. Higher prices must happen in order for Carnival to have a chance of survival.
  16. Yes, that is through the Hub app but it is only for folks on the same ship.
  17. In June, I cruised on the Breeze and found iPhone messages and Messenger worked to other iPhones uses while connected to the free ship's wifi but it did not work on the Valor in November.
  18. I did two cruises this year, (one balcony) although I do not know what weeds smells like, I did not notice any usual smells.
  19. Right, I understand that. ( should had said there was no tip charge in the gift shop- they charge for every product.)
  20. We were on a cruise a few weeks ago and were not charged in the gift shop. There was a line on the receipt to add a tip.
  21. For some people the idea of holding the ship is a value. It happened once for me. I was on an excursion that was many miles inland and the bus was caught up in a minor accident that cause it to be an hour late returning to the ship- thankfully the ship waited. Other value is the connivence gathering on the ship or nearby on the dock, the fact that folks on the excursion desk have firsthand information about many of the excursions, and if something changes with the excursions you can be informed while on the ship. One example, I once had a non-Carnival excursion booked in Cozumel. We had to walked about a half mile to the meeting point at a local hotel. We got there and nobody knew anything about the excursion. We waited and called the company we booked with who referred us to another company who final sent someone to the meeting point who told us the excursion was cancelled. We were able to book another tour enjoyable with the same folks but it cost more.
  22. It depends on the excursions. As I mentioned I have received several price matches. There are many Carnival excursion where there are no eligible matches. I personally, have also taken many non-Carnival excursions but some people prefer to stay with Carnival.
  23. Carnival adds value to the excursions so that is why many people are willing to pay a higher price to stick with Carnival.
  24. On our recent cruise, there was roast turkey several days on the buffet- it was good.
