This is not true. We just toss them rolling carry-on. (we like to bring a variety if favors.) If you bring them in a sealed carton, security may destroy the box to search it. I personally would not worry about keeping ice on all the drinks since most cabins now have coolers plus the room steward can bring a beer bucket with ice to keep a few of them cold each day.

If I were relying on birth certificates to cruise I would buy new ones from the official agency of my state's birth but not all people do this. I have noticed someone pulling an old birth certificate in pieces from an envelope- he got on the ship. Once at a hotel the night before a cruise some friends had to have family members fax copies of their birth certificates- they got on the ship. I witnessed others downloading copies to personnel at the port to be printed- they got on the ship. Not all agencies use raised seals. In my state notaries no longer use a raised seal device, they just have ink stamps.

Are paper boxes easy to recycle? Since they also sell water in those.

Right, bottled water from Carnival is a good option unless you have an environmental objection to plastic bottled water. If so boxed water is also an option. Canned and boxed water is available from Amazon.

I too have a dozen cruises with Carnival. My last one before the shutdown was in the summer of 2018, (I had to cancel my one for 2019 due to health problems.) Things had begun to change even before the shutdown but since the shutdown, the quality has declined just like in every industry. But this being said it is important to point out that the prices at least for me are less than the pre-pandemic cruises. I took two cruises last year-one in June and the other right before Thanksgiving. Together they cost about the same as my 2018 cruise. I have two booked for this year one on the Glory in June for a balcony room for three for a base price of $1900 and the second one duringThanksgiving cruise of the Spirit for a base price of $2000 for three. I do not expect the quality to be the same at the lower prices. Things I have noticed that are different are the production shows are totally different with only a handful of performers, longer wait times while at the table in the main dining room, and generally lower-quality food. (although we still find good food. )

birth certificates do not have to be notarized. Some states have embossed seals others do not. Make sure it is a real state-issued official birth certificate.

I agree, getting a birth certificate isn't that complicated. For me, when I buy a cruise, I make sure I have my documents in order long before sailing.

I often stay in hotels with coffee makers but rarely use them since it is it is not that much trouble to walk down to the lobby/cafe' to get a fresh cup. I know that P&O ships have kettles for their tea-loving guest so it comes down to what the passengers demand.

If you want to try to board together then use the latest time.
