  1. Come over to the West Coast Departures board, where Seattle is covered, and there are several locals on that board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/
  2. Costa Maya is on the Caribbean side, covered on this board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/102-costa-maya/ Mexican Rivera is the Pacific side.
  3. Have you looked to see if your cruise line offers the Luggage Direct program?
  4. What @VMax1700 is saying is there have been several discussions on the topic. Any day now.
  5. I think you posted on the wrong board and thread. This is about the heat wave in Europe.
  6. There are others, but you won't go wrong with Rome in Limo. If you have found the many mentions of Rome in Limo, I hope you have also found the many negative mentions of Viator.
  7. Just a particular model. Not other new ships. It has been discussed here by more knowledgeable people than I...it seems they might be "under powered" when it comes to steering.
  8. Repositioning cruises can be very popular. Most sell very well. You shouldn't see any significant changes.
  9. @rwmiller, the reason for certain Princess ships to go to the open ocean versus the Inside Passage is those selected ships have less control over their maneuvering abilities.
  10. Only been there 10 times. Never needed water shoes.
  11. I wouldn't use public transit with an 11:50 flight. I would use a cab or Uber.
  12. As we do a number of B2Bs, we always ask of the main crew we interact with...cabin stewards, dining room staff, cabana staff ( if we have rented one) are onboard the entire time we will be onboard.
  13. Hilton Paris Opera. Beautiful hotel, pretty close to the sights. You realize there is probably 10 million hotels in Paris?
  14. I have been looking at Zaandam menus in Navigator for our September cruise. Currently the Cannaleto menu is still the older menu.
  15. Was just in Amsterdam, Paris, Bayeux, and Reims. Paris was jammed to the gills. Bayeux and Reims didn't seem crowded. Never been to Amsterdam, so can't really determine how busy it was, but have definitely been to busier major cities in Europe. Amsterdam didn't even feel half as crowded as Paris.
  16. That is not good for the American visiting Europe. During Covid the Euro and dollar reached parity. The Euro now seems to be headed back to a "normal" position.
  17. If you do a search, it is recommended frequently. Haven't stayed there ourselves, but it is mentioned here a lot.
  18. Side of the ship doesn't matter. The scenery is all around you.
  19. The area is only used 9-5. Cleaning before and after open hours...like any deck area. There used to be occasional, non-cabana related events like cocktail parties and a dinner held there, but none recently that I have heard of.
  20. If its booked through the cruise line, you will tender to the first port (Athinios), then take a bus to Fira, and be dropped off someplace in town. You may, or may not need to return to the ship via the tram...read the description closely.
  21. Typically yes, as they tender to the different port at Santorini. That being said, not all excursions start at approximately the same time. Many cruise lines offer a number of tours with staggered departure times. So, if your ship arrives at 8am, most likely the longer tours (say 6-8 hours) will typically depart first. short tours (2-4) hours may not depart until later, or even have different sections that might leave at two or more different times during the visit.
  22. Yes, 90 minutes should be enough. The stay at a hotel idea is a good one for piece of mind.
  23. I would be asking this on the NCL board, as it is a policy and procedure issue for them. But no, I doubt you will be boarding that early.
  24. These are record breaking heat conditions. But the Med in July is not cool.
  25. A quick look down the board:
