  1. Like you, I’m very skilled at over packing! We drive to port so our oversized suitcases haven’t been a problem so far. That said, for our next cruise I’m planning to scale things down at leas a little bit so our luggage will be a bit easier to handle. We’ll see how that goes…..
  2. Hope your new mask works for you in dealing with your Covid Longhaulers. I think you’re being smart to take the time to familiarize yourself with using it before you go diving with it, especially with your Longhaulers symptoms added in. My DH had a very mild case of Covid last summer and has continued with Longhaulers, mainly loss of taste and smell with a few others thrown in as well. He’s hoping his symptoms go away soon. I was wearing reef shoes on my Bonaire dives, unfortunately not very good reef shoes. They did not help at all on the slippery rocks. I also managed to get a lot of little shell fragments and coarse sand inside of them that left me picking those shell fragments and sand out of my feet for days following my dives. I ended up wishing I’d worn my regular dive booties instead of the cheap water shoes.
  3. Love your golf cart tour! I would have needed more time in the water, though! I’d most likely be snorkeling 🤿. I have been diving while visiting Bonaire and although I did not have to climb up or down those stairs carrying dive gear 😱 getting into and back out of the water on the slippery, rocky shoreline with a bit of chop on the water surface in dive gear was more than enough for me. That said, the dives I have done there were beautiful! 🐠 🐡 🐙 🐟
  4. We did a land trip to Grand Cayman a few ears ago and had dinner one night on an outdoor patio. There were chickens 🐓 🐓 🐓 everywhere. I felt a little guilty eating the delicious dinner that I ordered which was 🐓chicken! 🤣

  6. I’m glad to hear such great reports from you about Grandeur! Are you planning on going to any of the shows? We have really enjoyed the shows on the Oasis class ships that we’ve been sailing recently. I know that the Grandeur’s shows won’t be quite what we’ve seen on the Oasis class ships. There’s no AquaTheater, after all, on Grandeur, but I’m hoping we’ll still be well entertained. Any information would be much appreciated.

  9. Hope your travel plans are not disrupted due to weather! You’re definitely smart to be traveling to port a day early. We live in Central Florida and are cruising out of FFL in two weeks 🤩. It should be just a three hour drive, but based on past experience with traffic, we’re going a day early and planning to enjoy our pre cruise evening in FLL.

  11. We have been looking at a cruise on Grandeur next year, but haven’t booked yet. We will be very interested in a first hand look at Grandeur through your eyes. I’m sure she’s a great ship 🛳️.

  13. $50 OBC is showing on my account. Refund is showing on my credit card. Key symbol has been removed from my boarding pass. Wondering if I should reprint the boarding pass that had the key symbol removed. Probably will just use the one in my Apple wallet since the key symbol has disappeared from that one without me doing anything to make that happen.
  14. I’m late to the party, but definitely enjoying your review! The next time we get to Labadee we’re going to have to give the coaster there a try. I’ve watched what I could see of it from the top of the zipline and didn’t think it looked very exciting from that point of view but after seeing your video and a few others recently, I think we should give it a try. I can’t wait to hear about the rest of your adventures on this cruise!

  16. This is totally unacceptable! Sometimes I feel like people think I’m just being difficult because I question everything related to my food allergies. I’m not. I’m just trying to stay safe and healthy. I’m sure that me having an allergic reaction in the middle of the MDR would create a far greater disturbance than my questions ever will. Unfortunately I’ve found out the hard way that it is in my best interest to be sure I know exactly what is on my plate and how it is prepared before I eat it. So far I’ve never had a problem on a cruise ship and I hope I never do.
  17. Same thing on our upcoming cruise, both excursions and onboard activities are showing up as sold out, and have been for a while now. I’m hoping some slots have been saved so people who are expecting to be able to book onboard can do so. I was checking daily for one onboard activity to show up in our cruise planner. The activity we were looking to book wasn’t there. The day it finally did show up it was already sold out in my cruise planner and has never shown up at all in the app. 🤷‍♀️
  18. At first they were mistakenly giving people $50 OBC for each person instead of the $50 per package they were supposed to be getting. Some people spent the $100 right away. At this point, our package had not been cancelled and no OBC had been issued. Apparently someone at Royal discovered what was going on. Those with $100 OBC in their accounts noticed that their OBC had disappeared. Those who had spent their OBC started getting notices that they owed a balance due for the purchases they had made with their OBC. At that point, I went to bed. When I got up on Tuesday my Premiere Package had been cancelled and my $50 OBC was in place. As of now it’s still there. I haven’t checked the Premiere Package threads yet. Hopefully the whole situation is finally straightened out, all packages have been cancelled, the correct amounts of OBC have been issued, and those who got the $100 instead of the $50 they were supposed to get are coming to terms with that. I’m not sure what happened with those who bought multiple packages, if they got $50 per package or just $50 total. I’ll be heading over to check on that next. @Sea Dog, that picture is spectacular! Thank you for sharing it. @SummerBeee I like that idea. Thank you! The portions of food I’ve been seeing from Portside BBQ I’ve been seeing are way too much food for me. I plan on giving it a try. 😋
  19. My credit hasn’t shown up yet either. However, the Premiere Pass that I purchased does still show up. I’ll check back later. I was all set to go spend that OBC! 😂😇
  20. I like it! We want to sail Wonder, going out of PC so a short drive from home, will have a little break after the holidays if you choose the Jan 19 date so we’ll be rested and ready to go. Are those towels on the benches yet another kind of chair hogs 😱 or are they just there to dry the benches? Glad to see that everyone seems to be having a good time! We were waving at the webcam but I don’t think anyone saw us. 🤷‍♀️
  21. Yes, it certainly has! It will be even more fun IF they end up honoring it! I’ve got my fingers crossed, but not setting my hopes too high. Definitely holding on to my Black Friday internet until I see how this plays out. I guess their mind experiment worked on me. 😂 I’m not usually a gambler, but I decided to take a shot at this one. If we get to keep the package we’ll have cheaper internet and get to do a number of things we wouldn’t normally do. If not, I’m sure we’ll find plenty of things to do to keep us occupied and we’ll still have a great cruise! 🛳️ 😎

I just bought one package which should include both me and DH per their description for our Odyssey cruise coming up in April. I’m going to print out their offer just in case it disappears 😱. I like having a paper trail. I haven’t cancelled my internet package bought at Black Friday prices yet just in case this does turn out to be a glitch and gets cancelled on us. If it still looks good for this package, I’ll cancel the internet before our cruise planner closes pre embarkation. I know we won’t do or use everything listed, but even with just the things we will use it’s a great deal!
  23. Me, too! Probably wouldn’t have been such a good idea with all the traffic though. We would have spent the whole day in the car stuck in traffic. Glad that even though there have been a few, or in some cases like @Sea Dog a lot of glitches, everyone seems to be arriving safely in the Miami area. I’ll be pulling up the Port Miami webcam to watch your sailaway so be sure you’re all waving!
