  1. It's very subjective. It's really based on if you will use/ enjoy the amenities and if the cost of those are enough to justify it to you. I've had the same discussion with my husband about going in Aqua vs Retreat when I though the cost per night was a bit insane and he said no way because to him, he really enjoys the retreat lounge as an option. So it's just a personal choice. No matter what, the entire ship is great and there's lots to enjoy everywhere.
  2. Yes, but it's just like booking a cruise really since their name's already on the booking. You are a dream client. ❤️
  3. You need the premium drink package for that water. Make sure you get the premium drink package.
  4. I have also sent an email voicing my concerns. I am wondering if voicing concern on their facebook page would be good? They seem to respond there.
  5. booking future is not really extra work for your TA. If you booked the cruise you are on with your TA, and book future - the TAs info is associated with the "future". If it is not, you can associate the TA with the future booking at time of booking the future. (assuming they get this vaping thing sorted out and you decide to book)
  6. I've sent in am email about this as well. Thanks to those who posted the email address. Hopefully someone is keeping track of the emails not in favor of this change.
  7. I'm a non-smoker/non vaper. I am NOT oblivious to vaping. It does bother me. There are some type of chemicals and also some scents in there that do bother me. And no, I don't have a stick up my a$$. I have a right not to breath it - I also think if someone choose to, they have the right. I prefer they go to a designated area and do so.
  8. Hello all - I am flying from Barcelona and need to get to Southampton for a cruise. I can fly into Southampton directly, but am a bit hesitant given the flight schedule (only a 45 minute layover in AMS and no direct flight available - if anything went wrong - I'd be out of luck). So that leaves me with Gatwick or Heathrow. Is one easier than the other in terms of then getting to Southampton? From reading this thread - it looks like trains are an option for both or the National Express from Heathrow. (of course private car from either) For what it's worth - I am disembarking one cruise on a Saturday, flying over on the same Saturday, then the cruise from Southampton leaves on Monday. So going over "earlier" is not an option to fly direct to Southampton.
  9. I wound up in an IV and am going in October. I got the room for about 3800 less than I would have if I had not done guarantee, so I think it was worth it.
  10. Absolutely! I have no idea when someone would have time for a massage, and I think someone said it was around $90 and the only service offered was a massage😁. I guess like most people are saying if the OBC is refundable, that's awesome!
  11. laundry is included on the Flora. Technically, they say 2 times with a 20 item limit, but from what I've heard, they are not very strict on that. I'm going in a few months, and have been on a specific Flora group. There's a spa where they charge for a massage and a small gift shop - and that's about it.
  12. Yes, it's true. The airline can choose to do this. It's happened to me a few times as well. I like it because my bags are often there waiting for me when I arrive. It's different than if you don't get in a plane. They know you are on, or in transit.
  13. This happened to us. We were in Barcelona and went to retrieve our bag. Upon checking at the airline luggage claim, they found it never made it on the plane from Munich (turns out if fell off the conveyor belt). The airline just took down the ship itenerary and told us they would get it to the ports of the ship if they could not get it to Barcelona in time (we had 2 days). We didn't let it ruin our trip - just bought a few items of clothing to get past a few days and figured we'd buy extra along the way if needed. We had one small carry on with medicines and anything we could not do without. Bag turned up the morning we were to go board the ship. Airline reimbursed us for 1) the bag which was pretty mangled and 2) the clothing and toothpaste/toothbrushes and few other things we purchased.
  14. If Celebrity is only selling you a HoHo ticket - they may not hand it out until 10. Also - not sure where you are referring to. If it is in a port somewhere that the HoHo does not stop near the port itself, or you cannot walk from the port to the stop - maybe Celebrity is including a ride to the town or the nearest stop and that is at 10. So this is difficult for people to answer. If you are provided a ticket in advance (day prior or at 8:30 AM) - there is probably no reason you would be made to wait until 10 unless some other logistics are involved.
  15. Yeah - I won against two guys in the finals - we had to putt around the ice table near the Martini bar. I banked my shot off a wall. 😁 I however do NOT still have my major award - the Celebrity X medallion on a blue ribbon. One of the guys was really, really not happy and made a lot of comments about women golfers. I basically just said, "yeah - sorry you were beat by a girl" and gave him a little smile.
  16. I actually once won the golf putting tournament! Trust me - its a good way to piss off a lot of people 😂
  17. Oh wow - the cab ride cost! We did not have that issue. They did take our passports, and we did have horrible room service. We would order, and it took hours, then they would deliver our food - and we'd have no silverware. We finally just kept silverware which we washed in the sink, salt/pepper shakers, a bottle of hot sauce etc. Food was always cold. We had a kettle and tea in the room so at least we had that. They reimbursed us for the days of our cruise we missed, and we were back in the retreat when we got out of the covid floor - so I guess we survived 😂
  18. We got covid on that one. Wound up in quarantine after we self reported. Got a seconds cruise as we were still in quarantine when we got to Amsterdam. 🤣
  19. I think we on the same Apex TA. April 2022 from Florida to Amsterdam? If so, yes, it was not great. Our Butler was missing for the first 3 days ( were not told why). The wait staff in luminae has no idea what was going on. I think the ship set sail with limited supplies..... Nothing like prior experience. The last cruise I went on was on Silhouette. No issues. It was wonderful. I think the Apex had new staff and they were all in learning mode. If that were my first experience with X, I can only imagine how my review would be.
  20. My original post should have been ----> This is the 10 day trip package. Mistake was it originally said This is the 19 day trip package.
  21. Sorry - no, I don't have the original link to this. I can make out the copyright at the bottom is 1/2023 though. I checked my reservation - and I am getting the 12 per night for all 10 nights. No idea why an IV room would be more points than a regular veranda when they are so close in price. Your auto air shut off makes as good a guess as any 😁. From what I can tell by looking, there is no difference in the actual room on these two, other than Infinite vs regular balcony.
  22. I booked a guarantee cabin on Flora for October this year. I got that for about $3k less than the standard veranda cabin. This is the 19 day trip package. We were booked into an infinite veranda cabin ( which is a little more than the regular veranda ones). My total price for the 10 days was $17k for 2. It was a good price at the time I booked. Also here's a chat if the points per night by ship for Galapagos. Also applied to land portion.
