  1. The cruises we are all referring to were departing December 7, 2024, December 21, 2024, February 15, 2025, and March 1, 2025. These are no longer appearing on the X website and were advertised as 14 night Paragonia and Argentina . They originally went from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso. They have been removed from the website for now. The cruises you are showing appear to be ones that have been on the X website for some time as "Antarctica" cruises (ie - completely different sailings). I think you may be referencing a different cruise than what we are talking about?????
  2. This is the route for the current Antarctica cruises. I don't think it's the same cruises we are taking about.
  3. Yes, I'm hoping they don't convert to Antarctica. Since they already had that as an option, people would have chosen it if that's what they wanted. I hope they opt for something else that will allow closer to original itenerary.
  4. Got the same. Do wish they would wait till they had all the info before they sent emails like this out. We really wanted to see the fjords and I don't think this will be possible if it's Buenos Aires RT.
  5. I got the same email. Also really curious about this as my cruise is not until Feb 2025. Really wanted to see the fjords side too so hoping some itenerary change makes that possible (ie not just to Ushuaia and back). I wish they would have informed about the actual changes when they sent this out.
  6. Yeah - it's all about one's risk tolerance and also assuming everything works out perfectly. You were one of the first off the ship. The ship docked on time, no customs issues. No wreck on the freeway to the airport, etc. Not FLL, but I've sailed into Amsterdam early and also 2 hours late due to very heavy fog that stopped traffic. So you just never know. Gotta do you. If you are someone willing to take a chance - book early flight. If you are someone who might be stressed and worried - book later. I'm somewhere in the middle. I like to book a flight around 1PM if the ship is docking at 7. Then I pretty much guarantee I am good even if there are delays. I can get off the ship at 9:30, make it to the airport and just chill in the airline lounge before the flight.
  7. What about intermittent fasting? Does the fare change during certain hours based on when you fast?
  8. They don't hold to prevent business. They sometimes hold them since they are larger and the same price. They"hide" then from view, but they are available for those that may truly need them if that makes sense. Like a person who doesn't need it would not book it just because it is a larger room ( which sadly happens). Celebrity may good back one or two, and when someone who needs one calls to ask, they do have them.
  9. I would have the travel agent call Celebrity ask about an accessible sky suite. They may be holding some back for those who truly need them. Celebrity sure are larger than sky suite, but the bedroom, bathroom and veranda areas are still not necessarily made for accessibility. I have stayed in the aft corners sky suite which I think you are referring to as well. It is not a great deal larger than the sky suite, just a different layout. And again, the bathroom and veranda will have a ridge, so you could not get a scooter into them
  10. Did you not answer the"scam likely" call you got yesterday"? 😁
  11. There's never a real line. They go on sale in advance, in the casino. If you want to buy, you can go to the casino prior to the start of the game and purchase them. You don't have to wait until they actually your the showroom and sell them in there (where there might be a line)
  12. Sorry, tablets, not Android is really what I should have said. It doesn't work on tablets (not Apple based). But, also, yes there are work arounds to get the app to work on tablets that have been successful for some people, so in some cases, it does work on non- Apple tablets. Celebrity seems to have stopped supporting it though.
  13. Yeah - just ask around - friends, neighbors, etc - someone will have a one generation old phone to give you for free. Don't even bother to buy a new one if you really don't want one - don't waste the $30 on something you'll just throw away. If you can use it on wifi, it should work.
  14. Have not tried on a ship, but will say that depending on your itenerary and what you are trying to watch, you may have some limits due to being international. (Per experience land based- some things worked, some did not, just licensing in some countries, but then, just watch pick something else).
  15. Anytime you see ports listed like Place A ( Place B), you actually dock in Place B. Place A will be the Main attraction city.
  16. What offer do they think you had? This look like their 75% promo they have been running for several months, not like a resident rate.
  17. I like to strike out on my own. I don't find it exhausting to do the research, figure out where to go, what to do, how to get there - I enjoy the planning, because I would rather be on my own timeline. For some - if they don't like to do that, then pre-arranged tours are the way to go. When logistics dictate, I hire a private driver/guide (example Civitecchia to get to Rome and back, Naples when I wanted to go to Pompeii). Hiring a private driver from a reputable company helps ensure that you WILL get back to the ship on time. They are aware of traffic conditions and know when to leave to get you back on time. A lot of the time, I just figure out public or walk from the port if possible. Never missed a ship. But, it all depends on your level of risk tolerance and how comfortable you are DIYing it. You need to enjoy your experience. I always plan to be back at least 2 hours early to be safe. If people will not be comfortable unless they have the assurance of a ship backed excursion behind them, then it is not worth it.
  18. If you are onboard, and you book onboard - then the cruise is automatically assigned to the TA of your current cruise (I suppose you could ask to have that changed to a different TA). If you are not on on a cruise booked through a TA and book onboard, then you can either assign to one, or transfer to one within 30 days. (is how it should work)
  19. This actually looks like a pretty standard French Onion soup recipe. The key will be to really cook the onions low and slow to really caramelize them. Also, the better quality (ie rich tasting) the stock, the better the soup. Give it a go! They do seem to be missing out the cheese topping. Don't forget that!
  20. Ask for the recipe. I've asked for 2 recipes ( an eggplant thing with a miso dressing and a lentil soup). I was given both the next evening, scaled down for 6 servings.
  21. It's so frustrating. After 40 minutes on hold, I was transferred, then that person said "let me put you on hold while I check" and instead hung up on me. I then called back and was on hold for another 30 minutes, when it rang like someone was going to answer, it hung up. rrrrrrrrr
  22. Does the live chat to get help exist on Celebrity website anymore? (USA) I am NOT referring to the app you use onboard. I am meaning the website where you look for / book cruises. I would like to use chat instead of calling customer service if possible. It used to pop up all the time, then only some of the time, now I cannot find it at all, even though their website says they have it (although it would not be the first time their website is wrong).
